The room was as advertised. Nice comfortable bedding. The breakfast was a really nice surprise, better than most other hotels offer. The parking lot had huge pot holes, made for tricky driving especially in the dark.

Was difficult to get into. Had to go through Super 8 to get to parking lot. No hot tub even though I thought I had seen one advertised. Pool area was not well cleaned. Check in was easy and staff friendly. Coffee needs improvement. Breakfast was good unfortunately could hear the noise outside. The heat worked very well.

We booked at the Empire Towers mainly cause we had stayed there before. The beds were horrible, they were like "curch pew hard." We were looking forward to spending time in the pool. We walked in and it smelled so bad, it was a damp moldy smell, so that was a huge disappointment.

There must have been something going on in the area because hotel rooms were twice as much as typical for our dates. Our room had a huge no smoking sign, but it reeked of stale smoke. There was so much moisture in the room that the tile was sticky and the carpets were damp. When we went to take our dog out, we encountered multiple people sleeping on cardboard outside of the hotel. There was quite a bit of food garbage in the parrying lot such as chicken bones, ribs etc. There were grocery carts in the hotel parking lot. There was a storage garage adjacent to the hotel parking lot. The opening was covered by mattresses and we saw a person go behind the mattress and came out with bags. When I let the front desk know of the issues she apologized and handed me our receipt. I am unsure if the hotel will know the problems.

Our room was quiet and clean, mattresses both a bit sagging. Outside our room was an odor in the entire place which we appreciated that it didn't penetrate into the room. There was smoke odor while checking in. My 95 year old mother and I were staying there to be close to medical appointments in Sioux Falls. The breakfast selection was nice and the idea to put a Sioux Falls magazine on each table.

Front desk was nice enough. Area of hotel seems sketchy. The room we stayed in did not seem clean. The freezer was dirty on the inside, hand prints all over the outside of frig. The Mitch sink area was nasty ! Also not the best amenities in the room only 2 bath towels.

Only thing we did not like was the bed. Bed springs dug into our backs. I slept on the couch. This stop was to rest on a long trip. No such luck. Can’t complain about the facilities or the staff.

The night was noisy with sound coming through walls and ceiling. Any use of the shower or toilet above was loud and woke us several times. Walking above us sounded like thunder. We didn’t get a lot of sleep! The sheers on the window are in shreds and need replacing. We will not return to this location.

Was told after check in that they didn’t have a dog room available. Person working the check in was not friendly, rude and then for shift change. Had to book somewhere else. Did say hi when I walked past him smoking at the front door. He finished his cigarette before coming to the counter.

Overall the stay was great. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. I had paid for room on hotels.com prior to checking in. After I checked in, I had 2 charges from hotel on my card. One for $75 which was security deposit and another for $144 for unknown reasons. I talked with the front desk clerk the next morning, and she told me that the manager would have to look into it and that she would let the manager know. I asked with manager to contact me and she told me that that would not happen. I received word the next morning, that the second charge has been refunded. As of this posting the refund has not showing up on my bank statement. We will see if it shows up in the next day or two.

When we got here in south dakota, we're from minnesoa. We went to check in at the front desk. They gave us keys to a room that is already occupied. Which we Reserved the roum online ahead of time. Which was kind of messed up for me to walk into someone else's room. Thank god there were dressed. Then it took him another twenty minutes to give us other keys. Then we were late to our venue we were trying to make. I tried to tell him that we're gonna be late. It didn't seem like he cared at all.

The front desk worker was very kind and explained things well when I checked in. When I entered my room; it smelled heavily of “wet dog”. I let the front desk worker know, and he apologized profusely, and changed me over to a suite for no extra charge. (Granted, the hotel was fully booked the night before I got there, and the hotel was very dog-friendly). I stayed two nights. There was a 24/7 diner a minute walk away from the hotel, as well as a grocery store and a Chili’s. There were some vagabonds that would walk around, and trash in the back parking lot; but I never felt in danger. Breakfast was actually pretty good. Biscuits and gravy were awesome. Scrambled eggs were fluffy and fresh. French toast sticks were kind of stale, but I still ate them! Juice was not good; from concentrate boxes. Ketchup packets were not refilled either morning I ate there. Coffee, tea, bagels, toast, omelettes, breakfast sausage (that was really good too). Vending machines and ice on all floors. (Drinks-only vending machines on second and third floors, with food and drink machines on the ground level.) Overall a good experience, especially for how reasonably priced it was. I only spent about $180 for two nights.

The gave my room away even though it was prepaid in full. I called to let them know day prior I would be checking in late and they said no problem since it was paid, only to show up and no room and they wouldn’t refund me. They didn’t even offer to find us another hotel. Front desk lady was rudest person ever.

Where to start. First we booked our King room 4 months ago. When we arrive to check in (at 2:50pm) they told us that they overbooked and they were going to "upgrade" us to a room with 2 queen beds. My husband asked if there was a price difference (which we all know that the King is more expensive) and the guy at the desk said "yes there is but the difference is on us". The guy then told my husband that he could "see that we were already paid in full but he needed a credit card for incidentals". Of course this is a standard practice & we had no issues with that. We go to our room and the room was VERY moist. Air wasn\'t on and smelled gross. We decided that we are only staying 2 nights and we had already paid in advance so we would just go ahead and stay. I will say that we looked and the sheets and towels all looked clean. The next day we were out with friends (the reason we were there to visit) and my husband checked his credit card. The hotel charged (put a hold) our card for incidentals BUT also charged us an additional stay same as the cost for a queen room. We already paid for the King room 4 months ago. We gave up time on vacation to come back and talk to the manager who said that they could see that we paid but they hadn\'t received their money from Expedia so they had to charge us. They ran our card knowing that we already paid. We did receive the lesser charge (for the actual room we got) back. Will NEVER go back & our local friends will spread the word as well.

The King Suite was large & room with a full kitchen. A remarkable value for the price. The Breakfast was great, constantly monitored by the food preparer. Very good job by this lady and her daughter !!

Staff was great, made sure I got a room that works for me. Very friendly. Breakfast was GREAT. Lots of options and every option tasted great only critique is the pool. I swam to the deep end and went to stand up and didnt realize the wall came up on the end and hit my feet.
