Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gatlinburg

Pretty rough older rooms. No coffee in rooms. Loud all night. Not any security measures. Open elevator fro outside and can come to any floor. Was very convenient location though. Able to walk to any area on the strip easily. Easy parking areas.

The hotel is so close to the strip park and walk, parking is tight but free, breakfast just skip it and go out its little Debbie snacks and bread and cereal. The floor was dirty i used a wash cloth and washed it real quick, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great, i would definitely stay here again

Inexpensive and easy walk to downtown Gatlinburg. Hotel is old and rundown but we didn’t go to Gatlinburg to hang out in the hotel room. Outside staircase is dangerous and needs repair.

Right next to a pay to park lot that was being cleaned with a leaf blower at 1 a.m. and again at 7 a.m. Also the exit door at end of hallway was duck taped to stay unlocked all night with stairs exiting building very rusty and deteriorating.

They were apparently doing renovations to the lobby which is fine but I feel like they should have given guests a heads up or at least let them know that the continental breakfast would not be available... I do not consider snack cakes a breakfast and that's why they had available, inside of a hotel room. The outside staircase is falling apart, our toilet kept messing up, and our room smelled horrible on arrival.

Property is under construction and they wanted to give me a room on the floor that they were working on. I do not recommend anyone to go here. They had the audacity to say that was the only room they had available. In my opinion I would’ve said I didn’t have a room available.

The Microtel worked for the 2 day stay we had there. The room was so small, there was hardly any space for a standard suitcase. But that was expected. The room itself was clean, but could use a lot of updates. As for the carpet in the hallways, it definitely needs to go. The stairs outside of the rooms are horrible. They’re crumbling and actually are dangerous. My husband and myself tripped twice. The location is wonderful, as it’s so close to the strip. Wish there was a nice outside area to sit though at the hotel. The price was good for what you’re getting.

The property was conveniently located near the attractions of Gatlinburg and had free parking. The lobby space and dining area were very unclean. The hallway to the room had stains all in the carpet, dim lighting, and dirty walls. The mattress cover had spots on it, the bathroom above the shower had mold, and behind the door in the bathroom had spiderwebs. The elevator smelled of mold and was not very clean either.

This place is adequate and provided us with a safe place to stay. The queen-bed rooms are TINY, and there is no drawer space, only open shelves. Our bathroom was clean, and overall the room was clean. The carpets in the hallways were disgusting and in bad need of replacing. There was duct tape in spots that had been worn bare. There was a spill (maybe ice cream) on the window sill in the stairway that had attracted ants. That spill was there when we arrived, and still there when we left 3 days later. Staff was neither friendly nor rude, they were just there. The breakfast is a joke. If you don't like cereal or yogurt, you are out of luck. Overall, it wasn't horrible, you get what you pay for. But this property needs some serious work. I seriously doubt we will be staying here when we come back next year.

left within the first hour of checking in there was roaches all over the bathroom. do not recommend staying here

They wouldn’t let us check in early because they said they still had to clean the room. We waited around all day and finally at 4 we were able to enter the room. There was human hair all over the floors, floors were sticky, human hair and BLOOD in the bed. the shower had pink and black mold growing in the grout and the toilet was very obviously not wiped down at the least. I swear that there was a 2-way mirror right behind the bed when I tested it. I have stayed in motels that were questionable but this was the most disgusting experience. We asked for new sheets and the staff, eating pizza were annoyed and only gave us two fitted sheets instead of actual sheets and pillow cases. When we told them about the room they said, “okay sorry”. We decided to check out immediately and go to another hotel. They wouldn’t give us a receipt or any papers to let us know that we were officially checked out. No refund or accommodations offered whatsoever. Btw, the breakfast is a joke. It’s stale cereal(no milk) and off brand breakfast sweets from a gas station.

I was hopeful when I booked this hotel. I have stayed at other Microtels and they were fine. This place was pretty bad! When I first went in to the rooms, I thought it was ok, but it had a smell and the floors were old and stained. Once I looked around the carpeting was very dirty and looked like it hadnt been vacuumed. The beds were good although the bedding was old and dingy. I wanted a 2 queen bed room so they actually had 2 rooms with a bed in each with a connecting door that was open. One of the 2 bathrooms had no cold water for the shower. It was just a very old hotel with no updates that I could see. I was planning on staying for 7 nights but I had to leave after 2 nights because it was sooo bad. Even the elevator was old and dirty. The price was fine but I learned that I was willing to spend more for a decent stay.

Cleanliness was awful. The ceiling drywall in our room was falling down. There was mold in the bathroom in places where it would have been easy to wipe off. Floor was not vacuumed. Our room smelled. Front desk staff were rude and were on their phones every time we walked in and out of the building. Will not book with another Microtel again.

I’m finding a lot hair in the tower and around the room

Rooms, hallways and elevators are discussing! Ic machine covered in mold! Elevators walls nasty, doors nasty floor is disgusting. Hallways walls , carpet nasty. Rooms appears to be no dusting, carpets are nasty, bed linens had make up stains and hair. and not comfortable at all. Bathroom had pubic hair in sinks and bath tubs. Walls were covered with hair. Corners and edges were discussing with dirt and grim build up.

I was booked for a seven night day and left in three days after finding out we had bedbugs in the room. Was not refunded my money.

There was dirty socks in the room, carpet was peeling off the walls and the bathroom faucet you had to hold on to with both hands just to turn it on. It was not tight to the sink. The mirror behind the bed was filthy. The ice machine had moldy ice coming out of it.

From the moment we walked in the door it felt like we were in for a awful experience. Starting with Dee the rude "manager" at the front desk, then getting to our room which was FILTHY. Hair and dirt everywhere, mold in the shower, it was outright gross. We left in less than 5 minutes.

Small rooms unless you get a suite. Dated.

The room was small but sufficient, the AC worked well and the water was very hot. The linens were clean. A decent, basic room. I personally didn't eat the breakfast but it looked pretty weak. Great location for a convention. Overall, if you are looking for the bare-bones room, this is it.

The room was clean and comfy but there should be a coffee maker in room. Had to go from 3rd floor to first to get a cup.

Very small room. Hard bed. Was clean. Shower curtain rod about to come out of the wall. Toilet seat about to fall off. Heat light was good. No shelves. weird tv remote.

The room was good. If you just need a place to sleep for the night, then it’s perfect. The room was a little small and the bathroom door was a little hard to open, but otherwise it was a nice place. It’s located in a good spot, as everything was within walking distance.

The location to Gatlinburg was great. The hotel and room was not like the pictures posted. The room are aged and in need of some TLC. The bed how ever, was comfortable.

Small room. Clean and comfortable. Good basic option. Good price. Great location. Its not the ritz and don't bother with the breakfast. Plenty of good breakfast places nearby. Free parking in downtown Gatlinburg!

It's an affordable and clean place. But I wish the staff would pay a little more attention to guests. They're very busy on the phone watching videos and if the breakfast were improved a bit, it would be excellent.

The hotel needs upgrades and the rooms could feel cleaner. But the rooms were okay, but I know you get what you pay for, and the room was very affordable, it was a great location, and free parking. The best part of the hotel was the front desk lady Brazique C. She was so friendly, kind and helpful. She made it worth our stay there.

I stayed there for the first time back in feb and we had such a great time we had booked another trip before the 1st was over. Sane thing during this stay we have already booled another stay. The hotel is in a great area and perfect traveling with ny sm dog

This place is absolutely filthy, the staff is unprofessional, rude and extremely disrespectful. We got there and waited 15 minutes for the front desk attendant to come back and when she did she took another 20 minutes to check us in. It started with them telling us we would all be on the same floor (4 people in our group) and when we got there we were on 2 different floors. She gave us keys to our rooms and when we opened the door to one of our rooms there were people inside the room. I called the attendant livid and she came up and got nasty with us telling us “I told you room 318”. The key and parking pass said 314 and the key worked for 314! She acted like we were in the wrong. She stood and argued with us and then just left us as well as the family we walked in on all in the hallway baffled. I called the next day for the manager several times and kept being told the manager wasn’t there yet because it was the weekend. We checked in on Thursday night and this was Saturday morning. Our room was disgusting, dirty and the tv would not stay on. The next morning we went to the front desk and they moved us to another room that was only slightly better. 3 of our 4 rooms had to be moved because they were nasty. We got ice from the ice machine and there was mold frozen inside the ice cube. They did absolutely nothing to accommodate or compensate us. We would have left if there was another open room in the area that weekend.

Employees couldn't be bothered to cone to work. Stood in an empty lobby for over an hour waiting to check in. When an employee did arrive she needed to finish her text before she helped me then gave me attitude because I requested to have our room changed due to a broken tv in our original room. Again she need to finish her text before she would change my room.

Not a bad little spot close to the strip in Gatlinburg. If you’re just looking for a cheap spot to stay a few days in walking distance. People at the front desk are pretty rude but over all I’d give it a 3.

Great value. Great location. Service from the staff was very good. The manager was awesome and very helpful. The building itself is older and could be nicer. Breakfast is small but at least they offer something!

Very rude staff!!!

Worse experience I have had traveling to a microtel. front desk staff that would not help. Their personal phone call was more important, than a paying customer. She told to come back in the morning. Pictures and property were not current. I would not stay at this property again

We have stayed here many times. Good place for a fair price. Easy walking to downtown Gatlinburg.

Great location. Easy Parking. Great water pressure. But very small room. No handicap restrooms.

Great location only a shot walk away from the main drag. Nice room and great value. Have stayed here before and will stay here again.

Perfect place for what we were looking for!!

I was in Awe of the price and location of this room! We were there for an event at the convention center and it’s conveniently located right across the street. And easily able to walk downtown.

Very good location- the hotel is right next to the main strip. It's not the most luxury hotel ever, but it's clean and that's all that matters in my opinion. Breakfast is underwhelming as well, but, I would definitely stay here again! No big complaints.

Breakfast was bare minimum and they didn’t restock. They didn’t even take the chairs off the tables so you could sit. Bed was comfortable. Walls were very thin. Could hear our neighbor snoring all night. Staff was not friendly. Told them about kids riding carts & running up & down the hallways all night, they did nothing. Parking was difficult with small spots & in a pickup truck.
