This property is on River Road so it's not on the parkway (huge bonus). You can tell the owners have taken an older property and fixed it up very nicely. Everything from the exterior to the decor and sheets and pillows are current, clean, and updated. There is a no smoking policy of any kind, so know that before you book. They are also pet friendly- but under 50 lbs. The woman and young man at the front desk are so amazing and helpful. They have a free grab and go breakfast or you can walk to several breakfast restaurants. The pool was always clean and inviting. This property is within walking distance to the Gatlinburg Trail. Definately the place you want to stay if you want to be close to parkway but in a quiet serene setting.

We booked this hotel after looking for one in Gatlinburg with an EV charging station. They do not have one even though the website we booked through said they did. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Stairs to 2nd floor need repair and were somewhat dangerous. Elevator area was dirty. No coffee available until 8 a.m. Room was comfortable and adequate.

First the positives, The hotel itself is in an excellent location. Close to everything downtown Gatlinburg but tucked back by the river so it’s still quiet. The room was very clean and had a nice balcony (with the exception of swarms of carpenter bees). We were celebrating 25th our anniversary and looking forward to relaxing by the pool as the temps were around 85-87 but upon arrival the pool had zero water in it and we could not see this till we got to our room. It would have been nice to notify guests that the pool was closed. Only 1 elevator and after waiting awhile we decided to use the steps as they were closer to our room. The concrete steps leading up to the 2nd & 3rd floors were dangerously deteriorating. There was no signage saying not to use the stairs or no mention at check in. It wasn’t until we went up that we saw a couple construction cones but we were already halfway up and almost every step was crumbling. Beds were super soft but for us that’s is not a good thing. We both woke up with terrible back aches. Need to tweak something’s (better mattresses) and be more transparent about the pool and dangerous stairs and this would be a perfect hotel!

Property was in a great location, easily walkable to attractions on the main street of Gatlinburg. You can see that this was an older inn/motel but is in the process of slowly being renovated it appears with updated siding, decor, and flooring. Sometimes the finishes need a little polishing as far as their installation goes, but you can see that they’re trying their best. Had an issue with a super slow drain in one of the sinks, and the caulking in the newly tiled Shower was something to behold, but the towels were clean and the toilet flushed. Haha. Make sure if you want a hot shower to do it first thing in the morning before everyone else gets to the hot water. Wink wink. Staff was great. Breakfast wasn’t fancy as it was a quick grab and go, but it was well stocked and easy to find. Kids enjoyed the pool which was clean and well taken care of. Would stay again if the price is right.

When we arrived it took some time to get registered even though we pre registered. The place is dingy old and the outside was filthy. There was mold on the balcony’s the room was filthy the air conditioner did not work properly the shower had no pressure and the fireplace did not work. Got back to the hotel one night and got a contact high from all the pot smoking on the property. Dogs barked all night from various rooms. I would never ever stay here again. And the breakfast was a joke. It was a grab and go prepackaged breakfast. I got a white milk and it was spoiled. The clerk just played it off and got in the fridge and threw all the milk away. What a dump

I liked the balcony and the beds were comfortable. Shower was clean. Good amount of space and extra sink was nice to have. Air conditioner until was loud and made rattling noise which made it hard to fall asleep and interrupted sleep every night. Had spiders in our room and one night i woke up in middle of the night to find a cocroach crawling under my shirt.

This is probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. I was a little worried at first because the exterior was a little in need of a clean-up but the rooms are amazing. I felt safe the whole time I was there and the parking lot is convenient. It is literally a minute's walk from the main strip, but despite that we heard NO traffic sounds. The people in the main office are also very friendly and polite.

The room was cute but things were very dirty. Please just remove the soiled couch. No one is going to sit or sleep on it. I wouldn’t put my luggage on it. The curtains were even worse !

Checked in was very nice, got to elevator and quickly learned the pics on the listing are fake! This place is filthy!! Garbage all over.. hair clumps in elevator. Got to room and was immediately overwhelmed with some sort of spray they must use to cover up whatever. Tv remote didn’t work, called front desk they came and reprogrammed it, but also asked if they could check all the drawers In bathroom cause the previous people left a bunch of stuff (guess the staff didn’t clean under the sink and stuff prior?) then sat down on bed to feel it slide on vinyl floor and a bunch of stuff under the bed was then found.. money, earplugs, and toenail clippings. Found blood on the wall, in a few places!! Hair in bathtub, floor, sink.. we complained.. they got back to us and said we could change rooms or leave? It was 10pm.. I wasn’t going to be able to find a place to stay, so me and husband grabbed cleaners and stayed in our clothes.. they got us a new room the next morning but it was maybe a bit better.. still overwhelmed with cleaner spray, and mold in shower, mold on floor trim, stains on doors.. air conditioner wouldn’t cool.. we finally said screw it and just left!! Went home an called our trip over.. I’m telling you the pics of this room ARE NOT THE ROOM you will get!!! It’s filthy!!

There wasn’t anything to dislike. It was comfortable, clean, quiet, and basically right on the main drag (less than 2 minute walk). The outdoor patio off my room and the fireplace were nice surprises. I really enjoyed my 5 night stay and look forward to staying here again. Highly recommend!

Really liked the location. The room was cozy-loved the fireplace. Checkin was great. Breakfast is minimal; we only got coffees. They allowed our small pet but I think there should be a one time charge not charged every night we stay. We stayed 2 nights but anything longer we would have looked elsewhere. The ONLY fault I give this property is that the noise carries from other rooms. We were woken both nights by the adjoining room next to the one we were staying in with loud voices and people arguing. Our first time to Gatlinburg. Probably find a cabin next time.

I like that it is really close to the strip. The room was clean. This was our second time staying here. The room was extremely humid inside, made everything feel really damp so sleeping was not comfortable.That was the only bad thing. The AC leaked all over the floor so that might have created the humidity. But I did let management know so they could address it. Other than that it was a great stay again.

Service was friendly. Location is walkable to Gatlinburg attractions. Bed was comfortable. What more do you want? Quiet. That's what you want and this place didn’t have it. Our room had an adjourning room. In that room was a family of 4. Boy (Kyler or Tyler) and a younger girl(Cammie). I never met them. I know their names from the mom yelling them in the room until after midnight. Of course, they yelled back. The boy also had a large superball that he bounced on the wall between our rooms. The worst was them opening their door between our rooms and then trying the knob to come in our room, only to have mom slam the door. Dad was in the shower the whole time. ("Just wait until your dad is done with his shower.) And when Mom wasn't looking Kyler would do something to bully his sister and make her whine or cry. He would laugh maniacally. Mom would scold the girl. And I could hear all this in the room next door.

The location was great. Close to a lot of things we wanted to do but still pretty quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pictures online are a little misleading. Although our room was very clean - the property is very dated. We did not have very good water pressure and the water was lukewarm the entire time.

Hotel was very out dated. Several of the exterior doors had holes or were rotten. There were a total of 2 lights in the main area of the room and could not give enough light, the bathroom fixture kept having lights go on and off, water pressure was non-existent at best, and there was dirt on almost all of the floors when we arrived. The staff at check in was talking crap about the maintenance staff and thought it was funny to do so in front of customers. Throughout our stay, we noticed that the desk clerk for nights did not know her job as she spent her entire time snacking at the only "breakfast" table and playing on her phone. When asked a question she would simply shake her head no without actually answering. I asked for an extra blanket and she just shook her head and went back to her phone. The only plus was a day time clerk, wish I had gotten her name, and the location. Other than that, it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

First the front office lady was super sweet and helped me figure out some things I wasn’t to sure about. The contactless room service was also great. My room was fully stocked, clean and pleasantly big. It was the perfect spot to be close to everything but not too close.

Check in was a smooth process.Once I got up to my room. I pulled back the sheets to ensure that they were clean, and I found a bed bug crawling on the pillowcase, along with a long dark hair on the flat sheet. I immediately returned to the check in area and showed the front desk employee the pictures of the bug and long hair that was in the bed. I requested a new room, which the employee was happy to give me. Once, I got up to the second room, I pulled the sheets back again. The sheets in the second room were clean, but upon further inspection, I did find multiple bugs crawling in the room. I returned to the check in area and explained to the front desk employee that I would like to check out due to the multiple bugs that I encountered within the short time that I was there which was less than 1 hour. The rooms were a bit outdated and dark. The views from the balcony were very nice, but I did not get to enjoy it since I did check out and go to another hotel. The hotel is in a a great location, close to many restaurants and stores.

My wife and I began staying at River Edge Inn pre-Covid and loved it. But this doesn’t seem to be the same hotel post-Covid. My last two recent stays found equipment ( hair dryer & coffee maker) inoperative. When I reported the Kerig being inoperative the office manager implies I don’t know how to load the k cup. But what I dislike most is there being no housekeeping or resupplying your room without having to fill out a card, which in my case this week was misplaced by hotel staff. I also strongly dislike cold air blowing into the room from gaps under the door. I used to think this hotel was quaint and cute. Now I just think the hotel is cheap and outdated. I will not stay at River Edge Inn again in the future.

This was our first stay at River Edge Inn. We were especially impressed with the exceptional staff. Thru were all very friendly and extremely helpful! We noticed there was no cold water in our shower. They sent someone right away to check it. When it couldn’t be repaired right away they offered us another room & made the transition as smooth as possible. The rooms were very spacious. Everything was quite quiet. Breakfast was continental but all items were name brand. Many restaurants close by. We hope to be back!

Very nice having fireplace, friendly helpful staff. They did have a facilities malfunction that left us without power, but things happen, they communicated it very well and easy to get in contact with for concerns, refunded the days we couldn’t be there, had to find another hotel. Perfect location for us! We wanted to be near everything and not have to pay to park in Gatlinburg. It's also close to several scenic drives, like Roaring Fork Motor trail. The grab and go breakfast was actually better than i expected. I wish it was available before 8am, as we often left by 7am. Only request would be some fresh fruit! We liked the hands off approach and not feeling bothered by staff. We would definitely stay here again!

This property is on River Road so it's not on the parkway (huge bonus). You can tell the owners have taken an older property and fixed it up very nicely. Everything from the exterior to the decor and sheets and pillows are current, clean, and updated. There is a no smoking policy of any kind, so know that before you book. They are also pet friendly- but under 50 lbs. The woman and young man at the front desk are so amazing and helpful. They have a free grab and go breakfast or you can walk to several breakfast restaurants. The pool was always clean and inviting. This property is within walking distance to the Gatlinburg Trail. Definately the place you want to stay if you want to be close to parkway but in a quiet serene setting.

Was pleased with the selection here, all things considered it was definitely worth the value. My only negative point is that the breakfast area did not open until 8am, which is too late for families wanting to start out the day in the Park early.

Everything was good! My only complaint is that the A/C unit would stop running at night and we’d wake up to a room that’s 76 degrees. We asked the front desk about it and they didn’t really do anything so we didn’t sleep very well. Know that breakfast is only grab and go and they don’t have a kitchen. Otherwise, the place was clean and enjoyable.

I was especially disappointed in the parking situation… 1 room 1 car. My party was traveling from different states & had 2 cars. I wouldn’t have minded street parking if it was available but all spaces were occupied so I had to keep circling until one become available. I wish I had known before hand only 1 car could park at the hotel. The hotel advertised accessible rooms but when I got there I was told there were not accessible rooms. The free breakfast was a grab & go not what I expected. Most hotels offer some sort of buffet breakfast .

Property was in a great location, easily walkable to attractions on the main street of Gatlinburg. You can see that this was an older inn/motel but is in the process of slowly being renovated it appears with updated siding, decor, and flooring. Sometimes the finishes need a little polishing as far as their installation goes, but you can see that they’re trying their best. Had an issue with a super slow drain in one of the sinks, and the caulking in the newly tiled Shower was something to behold, but the towels were clean and the toilet flushed. Haha. Make sure if you want a hot shower to do it first thing in the morning before everyone else gets to the hot water. Wink wink. Staff was great. Breakfast wasn’t fancy as it was a quick grab and go, but it was well stocked and easy to find. Kids enjoyed the pool which was clean and well taken care of. Would stay again if the price is right.
