Waiting around with other guests for the one working elevator for a hotel of this size was terrible. Does the Holiday Inn always lock the pool area at 9:00 pm?

Staff was nice. Super thin walls, so very loud. There was a weird splatter mark of dark brown spots on the ceiling, seemed like it was blood. Pool was dirty and they tried to “shock” it with chemicals but it was still looking unclean.

A nice comfortable room with the amenities you need. Pool was huge. They had all you would need for a short stay. The staff was extremely professional, helpful and courteous. The only drawback was they skipped our room when house cleaning.

The room was in poor condition and dirty. Upon arrival, the sink was dirty as well as tub/shower. If that wasn't bad enough, the hotel staff left soiled towels from another room outside our door. When we called to have them removed, they remained there until our checkout the following day. I also attempted to conduct a meeting in the designated working area, but it's located right by the check-in desk with constant traffic to and from the hotel, making it unsuitable as a workspace. Additionally, this hotel is situated right next to a major road, resulting in noise from traffic throughout most of the night due to its thin walls. In addition to hearing our neighbors, the fan/AC unit is incredibly loud and cycles on and off all night based on the temperature setting, causing disruptions. The only positive aspect of our stay was the availability of lemon water at the front desk. I have no intention of staying here again; it's the kind of place where you would check twice to ensure there are no bed bugs.

Room was cleaned but carpet and couch had stains. Traffic was heard all through the night, preventing sleep! We were on the top floor which may have contributed to this. Only slept well one night, when it rained. Traffic sounds were muffled, speeds were most likely reduced for safe driving. It’s a shame because the location is perfect. They also charged $25 on our credit card for “incidentals” which we did not have any of. Refund takes a few days the desk clerk said. This most likely will prevent us from staying there again.

Big wad of hair on bed when we checked in. Overall cleanliness just wasn’t as good as it could’ve been. Staff very nice but should be sure to have all surfaces wiped down and vacuumed properly. Crumbs and dirt left behind by previous customers and in the dining area there were we s with spiders in the corners that clearly had been there a while.

This hotel is a great location to many of the area attractions. The hotel is modern and everything was great, with the exception of the room smelling like marijuana. It was the perfect place for a girls trip. The price was great too!

Clerk would not print out a bill for me. Door to bathroom would not slide easily and we thought when the room was cleaned someone would notice. I had to report it and it was fixed shortly after that. TV channel selection was not good. Shower head needs to be cleaned or adjusted.

When I arrived after driving 12 hours to get to Va they were overbooked and cancelled my reservation and when I spoke with the assistant manager she told me it was my problem and I could go ahead and report her to corporate but IHG customer service took care of me and within 10 minutes did what that asst manager did not they found me alternate accommodations

I like the hotel itself and staff a lot. What I didn't like is that Expedia and Holiday Inn had a lack of communication, and the hotel got overbooked. So the very nice woman at the front desk found us a 2 queen bed room like we asked, but she had to take it from another person who booked the same but had not yet shown up. So I am sure the next customer was not happy. There needs to be better communication between he companies so that the hotel does not get overbooked.

Great experience even with a maintenance issue. We did have an issue with room 425 having no working shower and very weak water pressure in the toilet. This was not discovered until later in the evening. The front desk was very helpful. Moving rooms was mad possible to the room one door down. Maintenance did arrive the very next morning. We completely understand it being the weekend that maintenance is probably only on call. I would suggest though that when they have a service call, you have the following protocol in place: 1. Have some sort of identification tag or such on the employee's person. 2. Have a way to notify the room guest that maintenance is on sight, and would like to come up for repairs. It was a bit startling for my daughter to have a strange man enter her room as she was sleeping. She did hear him knock, but did not have time to answer the door before he came in himself. Thank you for your prompt response though. Your front desk staff for all your shifts were friendly, helpful, and professional.

Waited at the (unattended) front desk for close to 10 minutes just to check in. I went down the hall to the sales office and maintenance rooms and no employee was in sight. Not ideal when you've had a long day of travel. Then the front desk associate didn't even acknowledge or apologize for our wait.

From the first phone call I received from the front desk receptionist Mike I knew it was going to be rough stay in regards to the hospitality. He showed no consideration to our questions or even our feelings. He did not greet us with a friendly personality and made us feel like a bother when we did have to speak with him. Instead of explaining things to us he gave harsh answers and provided no reasonings on certain questions. During check out when asking for a receipt I was told I was not allowed to have a print out copy of MY BILL because hotels.com takes a big compensation and I was NOT allowed to see that. To me that is completely insane when it’s MY money and I wanted to see where it was going and how much my total bill was. Some of my family members were charged random charges for things they didn’t buy. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t as well, but again the man at the desk told me I couldn’t have it. The lady working the bar was very rude as well. Someone in my party asked if they had a certain drink and the lady told her no and walked away. Never offered her something comparable or asked to see if she would like something different. When you go to a hotel you should be treated like a guest. Not a prisoner. This place was awful and we will NEVER be staying there again and will make sure none of our family/friends will either. We will be reaching out to corporate because their customer service needs A LOT of work. We are nice people and wanted the same respect in return.

It was perfectly fine! Nothing fancy, but a good value for the money. My only negative interaction with staff was upon check in where I was greeted with an obscenity- laden outburst which I found highly inappropriate (he spilled something on his food which he was eating at the front desk.) I know finding good people to work is hard, but this seemed like behavior that could be redirected with training. It was quite off-putting.

This hotel is convenitnely located at the entrance of Charlottesville. We did not want to stay downtown. It is a big property and it looks renovated. Service was good. We only stayed one night. The only item is that it was noisy with the highway next to it. Also the garbage truck came around 5 am a d woke us up. The hotel has a mini strip mall with Pizza and Starbucks. But for what we stayed for it was good. Also we went to the the wineries and it was in just 10 minutes.

We found the breakfast service to be of the highest quality. Our server was friendly and amazingly efficient. The chef performed his magic on my eggs! I have never found a hotel breakfast service that did over easy eggs as well as here! The rest of the staff were excellent as well!

This place was perfect location for visiting local Wineries. We especially enjoyed Trump Winery. Motel was clean and staff excellent. We were very impressed with breakfast and restaurant staff. Armando was amazing. Food and staff was best service all weekend.
