When I booked the property it stated that there was a restaurant on site and I paid for two made to order breakfasts. The on site restaurant is closed and a continental breakfast was offered to all patrons so I feel cheated for paying for made to order breakfast.

The room was nice, bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. The ice machine in the 7th floor was broken my entire trip. Also had to be at the job site by 6am so we never got to eat from the breakfast. Would be nice if they buy out some fruit or pastries for us to grab on the way out in the morning.

Room and lobby were clean and tidy. Definitely need updates in the room. Bubbling old wallpaper, old carpet, bed frame material sagging and torn. Bed was comfortable. Nice love seat to sit on. Bathroom very clean and updated. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast area was not kept clean and food was cold at 8:30am. Decent variety of foods. Easy free parking. Ice machine not working on our floor. Overall good and comfortable for the price. Also had everything you need in the bathroom. Dove soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in multi use pump bottles. Not small samples. Also room was cleaned and bed made every day which never seems to happen in hotels anymore!

The location is good. No bar even though it is advertised. Pool area was dark and damp and the small fitness room was a sauna it was so hot. Rooms were fine for our one night stay.

We booked two rooms for two nights. We were given rooms on the second floor, which is a level below the lobby level (3rd). Both rooms had windows but perhaps due to proximity to the ground level, the room initially smelled slightly like dog and the room felt damp. Rust on nickel finish surfaces and moldy spots on the wall are another sign of moisture in the air. A/C filter could use cleaning. In one room, we had a fire detector go off around 5 am probably due to low battery. The technician came and removed it all together. Breakfast started at 7 am, FYI.

Thankfully we were moved when I told them about this but our new room still had trash in plain sight under the fridge. I thought Ill take what I can get. The hallway leading to our room also smelled like straight up toilets. I chalked it up to the numerous cleaning carts laying around during the day but it persisted into the evening. Other than these inconveniences, it worked for what we needed. The beds weren’t great but they worked, the bathroom was clean, and the ac worked. Thats more than some places can say. Its also in a great location, which honestly is the real reason we chose the place. You can walk to an outdoor mall, several restaurants and coffee shops, and its walking distance to JPJ arena (shout out Billy Strings). This certainly isnt the worst place Ive ever stayed at but honestly its the worst Holiday Inn I've been too. Overall, it wasnt the best stay Ive ever had, and Im likely to shop around for our next Cville trip, but it was fine. Just fine. Nothing more, and almost a little less.

The room reeked of pets and probably urine on the carpet. I requested for another room, the staff said they are fully booked. They did not seem interested at all and just kept us waiting at the front desk for 10min while attending phone calls. It was hard to breathe and the kids had to take allergy medication. Never coming back here.

I liked that this hotel is close to the University. We were visiting only for one night. Our room was fine, but it was very obvious that the hotel is due for an update. The sideboard was falling off near the air conditioning, there was mold in the grout lining of the bathtub which was very gross, and when I tried to shower it became apparent that the drain was clogged. There was a rubber band in the shower which made me question how clean the overall room was if that was missed. It was close to midnight when I checked in and it was only for one night so I didn’t request a change of room. In short, I won’t be staying here again when I visit Cville.

Easy to park and check in however with check in staff were unsure about pet fees and never really checked us into the hotel until we were back from the event that brought us to the area, a second staff member stopped us and readdressed the fact that we had pets and if we were aware that additional fees would apply and asked for a credit card to be put on file. Overall, a messy check in process.

We arrived on Friday for the weekend - TV in the room would not work; they did come and fix it. Website says there is a restaurant and bar onsite - NOT! Did not get any housekeeping on Saturday. Called before going out at 4:30pm that we needed housekeeping - dump trash, give us NEW towels and Toilet Paper. Came back from a concert at midnight and housekeeping still hadn't been there. Called Guest Services and complained they finally brought us up 2 towels and a roll of toilet paper. AWFUL Experience will never stay here again.

We were here to see the Reba concert, as was 1/2 of VA., NC & WV. It seemed liked everyone arrived at check in and the line was extremely long. The clerks who assisted us were calm and efficient, management passed out free water and all the rooms were ready for us. The rooms were clean, and beds comfortable after a long night of singing. I’d definitely stay here again.

We arrived early, staff was unhelpful. We finally got our room key after waiting in line over an hour to check in. Got there at 2:45 finally got to desk at 3:50. There was at least 10 ppl in line. The one lady said I can’t help anyone else the other lady Laura had to work alone with over 10 ppl in line after us. We got our room key, it was wrong. They gave us the wrong room. On the wrong floor. We finally got the key to the right room, light fixtures were broken. No hot water. No working AC unit. Everyone in line before us had similar issues. I’m not one to complain but it was not an enjoyable experience at all & I was charged 3x for the 50$ fee for room insurance. My 258$ room became more than 400$, I hope that is a mistake because this has been a horrible experience

It was very busy the night we stayed and I was worried it would be a rowdy stay with all the concert go'ers. Turns out it was perfect for the 1 night we stayed for the Chris Stapelton concert. It meet all our needs. Quiet, comfortable, conveniently close to the venue and the staff were very welcoming. The hotel is a little dated but its clean and comfortable. There is a breakfast in the morning which was more than just pastries and coffee. ;) I would stay here again if we are going to an event at UVA

The breakfast was not well managed/maintained. Seemed like they threw a mass of food out and then didn’t think they should have to replenish it. Other places, put some out and refill as it gets low; so that the food doesn;t get over cooked, stuck together or soggy. Otherwise, it is a pleasant stay.
