Hampton Inn By Hilton Wausau

Heather was amazing at check in and again in the morning. The room was super clean. The pool was a blast. Breakfast was stocked and delicious. There was something for everyone including those with food allergies.

It is not unique, but is a quality, well cared for hotel. We enjoyed the hot tub and hot breakfast. The omelettes were especially good. We definitely would stay again.

Clean and smelled good, front desk was very patient and friendly. Breakfast attendant was great help. The only thing that was a bummer is the hot tub didnt work. And that's one reason we picked the hotel. But overall good stay. ☺️

Was a nice place. Pool was good there was no one in it so had plenty of room for the kids.

Friendly Staff. Pool and hot tub were nice and warm. There was a woman working at the continental breakfast- and she was the highlight of our stay. So inviting, accommodating, and truly took pride in her job. Everything was full and clean. She even walked around and handed my two girls warm chocolate chip cookies!

Our family stayed only for one night, but it was great. Pool hours (7AM-11PM) we awesome with having young children eager to swim. Kept very warm so could easily stay in there for quite some time. Hotel room was very clean, modern. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The hot tub wasn't hot enough.

This is the second time we stayed at the Hampton in Wausau. Both times were very nice. The rooms, public spaces and grounds are very clean and inviting. The staff is extra friendly. Attention to details like something as simple as cheerful messages written on the peels of bananas at breakfast is noticed and appreciated. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Spent one night in Wausau, WI and Highly recommend. Room was meticuously clean, bathrooms pure white and shiny from sink to towels to shower curtain. Everything is new. The staff are exceptionally friendly as well.

The checkin gal was very friendly & professional. Room was clean. Breakfast enjoyable. It snowed overnight with ice but the staff had the sidewalks all cleared by the time we left in the morning.

Comfortable room. Very clean, nice firm mattress. Went down to breakfast but didn’t stay. Buffet area way to small, so crowded, eggs, muffins, yogurt had not been replenished. Seems like staff should be prepared on a Saturday

Welcomed warmly and promptly at check-in. Slept great, too. Terrible view of a wall out our window, but we didn’t care.

Location of the Hampton worked out great. Staff very friendly. Sorry our tv didn't do very well with providing closed captioning. Don't know if that could be fixed or what??? Overall very much enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to our next visit

This room was very large! Desk area, sofa and very large bathroom with beautiful, large shower.

Overall nice stay. Plenty of parking, towels and space in our room. Lily was especially friendly and offered excellent local options for dinner choices. She was attentive to our needs and seemed sincerely concerned with our comfort during our visit.

The staff were wonderful and they went out of their way to satisfy us.

Rented a rm for 5 totaling $290 two night stay for family Thanksgiving event in the area. 1 star for Staff bc they were as accommodating as they could be. 2 stars for decent Complimentary breakfast. Pumpkin spice waffles&Mango water, memorable. Warm biscuits&gravy were fulfilling. Had other decent breakfast choices and toppings. 3 stars for quiet, safe location. My only complaint is this location needs to upgrade their tech for the keycards. Concierge tried renewing cards several times and after going up and down the elevator from 1st to 3rd floor 6x Finally staff comes with and use their master key and still no luck opening our door which had our two teenager boys fast asleep inside room and to which we could not awake to no avail w/out bothering other costumers. Ended giving us the empty connecting rm free of charge after an hour of hassle by this time it was now 1:45am my husband,9yrold and myself were heavily exhausted. Was very inconvenienced but the staff was calm and tried her best to solve the situation. After giving us the room, was told we'd be given new keycards but didnt say when so another hour of lost sleep just waiting for her to return which she never did atleast within the hr until exhaustion took over and I'm asleep. Too tired to request for toothbrush/paste. Never got new keys but no matter since checkout was next morning anyway. Would love to come back but afraid of having to deal with this issue again so late at night. -2 stars for inconvenience & tech.

We did not use the Hampton in Wausau. There is a huge snowstorm in this area, at least 8 inches and travel is virtually impossible. Everything is closed in the area. I called the Hampton's local number yesterday 3/4/25 and they said we would not get a refund, on our nonrefundable room. We asked if we couldn't apply the amount to a future date and that was declined. So....of course, we aren't happy.

We were there for a sporting event for the weekend. Staff treated parents and kids kind of rudely. Got yelled at for sitting in lobby after “10 pm quiet time “talking with other patents. Where there are not any rooms close to the lobby to disrupt. Had to sign a special waver stating all theses rules and such since we were there for a sporting event! No other regular guest had to. Also states had to accompany you child up to age 18 years old at all times on the property. Never have I ever done that in my life. I could see when kids are younger but not teenagers that are responsible and respectful.

We had a great stay at this hotel. It is in a great location, is clean, has modern updated decor. The service was great.

I was traveling with two children and it was important to me to stay at a place that was quiet and where I felt safe. I was greatly impressed with the number of breakfast options both hot and cold. All in all it was just a very relaxing stay

The rooms are not super fancy, but had everything we needed for a comfortable place to spend the night. I was really impressed with how clean everything was - this was the cleanest room we've ever stayed in. From the bathroom surfaces to the bedding and the floor - I was really impressed! The staff was extremely friendly, and the continental breakfast had a lot of different options. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

Comfortable accommodations, friendly staff, breakfast could have more options/variety. Overall good 👍

First time at this particular hotel, very pleased with our stay, we always choose Hampton when we travel, with three kids it helps to have free breakfast on site, it’s always good with lots of variety.
