Wonderful stay and the STAFF MAKE IT! The rooms and facilites are lovely. Great airport hotel. We were offered a complimentary welcome beverage with our stay which was our first interaction with the wonderful staff. We met great happy servers in the lounge and shared an appetizer. The front desk staff were all smiles all the time. Always busy but dropped what they were doing to help! The security and support staff were all so lovely. I cannot express how great the staff were!! I did not get all of their names but Mariana and Jefferson from reception and Jesus from the restaurant were awesome. But really they all were. Only things we did not love - menu prices were high. I travel alot and understand restaurant hotels are pricey, but this was a lot. The food is ok. It is not delicious...frozen fries I think, which always makes me sad. Also the pizza...there is better in town! - the lounge has a lovely outdoor seating area but is only open in the evening (pro tip though, if they arent busy the restaurant staff will serve you out there and it is wonderful) - no business centre. As we were preparing to travel we needed some copies and things. that said, front desk staff did help us, but they had to get approval so we could have been without. However. Absolutely would stay again. And look forward to seeing the great staff in the future.

Liked the size of the rooms and liked that the rooms are newly renovated. However our room had a strong manly sweat odor and there was no way of masking it... Our rooms was ready 2 hours later from the time they were supposed to be ready and travelling with kids can be tricky because they need a room to rest. We were offered one of the rooms (we had 2) so at least the kids could rest a little but it was uncomfortable for 5 people in a room waiting on our 2nd room.

Very modern and well kept hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean. Great water pressure and the rain drop shower head was a nice added feature. Friendly staff, you are always greeted when arriving or leaving the hotel. The hotel has a small lounge/bar which was nice. Drinks are limited, but the bartender and servers are friendly. Hotel is in a good location, Zone 10 is safe area to walk around. Many restaurants and malls within walking distance (10-15 minutes in all directions). We felt safe being out at night as there were always people out walking around. If you plan a tour, most will pick up right at this hotel or the one directly across the street. The Oakland Mall is the biggest, most modern mall we have ever seen. I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in this part of the city.

I liked the convenience of the airport being close to this property. I did not like that there was a bad odor coming from the bathroom sink. Also, the AC system does not have proper temperature and speed control. It only blew very cold and was loud and in your face as the vent was above one of the beds in my room.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Clarion Suites Guatemala. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and what they offered. The hotel is starting to show its age and could use an either new carpeting or tile in the common areas. Not a big concern, but an observation.

El A/C no funcionó nunca, lo revisaron 5 veces, lastimosamente la 1ra. Noche fue realmente incómoda y caliente, finalmente ya a las 9 de la noche de la 2da. Noche se compadecieron y nos cambiaron de habitación, fue una estancia con una reservación para piso ejecutivo que terminó en un piso normal y el trabajo de tener q cambiarnos de habitación aún y cuando tienen conocimiento q el a/c no funciona en esa habitación la asignaron porque tenían lleno el hotel. Lástima porque habíamos tenido buena experiencia hospedándonos anteriormente. Lo único que hicieron fue pedir disculpas y nada mas. Por favor no asignen una habitación de la q ya tienen conocimiento que no le funciona el A/C y menos si cobran como servicio de piso ejecutivo

I got there before the 2pm check-in time. They asked me to wait for a room, which I did. After 2.30pm I came back, still no room. They kept delaying it over and over until 3.45pm. In the meantime I saw other guests get theirs... I didnt like that. No explanation other than they were full tje day before. My room was VIP Expedia, paid in advance. Finally... the key was not programmed, so wait a bit more... Room was nice.

Fairly expensive for what is poorly prepared and misinterpreted American cuisine. Would have preferred well prepared Guatemalan cuisine. Service provided was good, can't complain. The one thing that could be better was the quality of food at the restaurant during our dinner, breakfast was excellent. Also there was confusion about the service time at the restaurant, the front desk indicated closing time was at 11:00 PM and restaurant staff told us 10:00 PM; that little confusion made us rush into the selection of our dishes
