Excellent location -- across the street from the Festival theatre and easy walking distance to the centre of NOTL. Hotel lacks an on-site exercise facility and rooms have a particular cleaning product odor. But otherwise a pleasant place to stay.

Lovely hotel, great location, at the end of the Main Street. We booked it as it was within walking distance of Peller but were advised on check in that the hotel ran a complimentary shuttle service. Would stay again.

The Shaw Club is a wonderful place to stay. It is conveniently located across the street from the Shaw Festival Theatre. It’s an easy walk to Fort George as well as lots of shopping dining. The wineries are only a few minutes drive away or you can take a shuttle. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also clean the rooms daily unlike many hotels that do not. Uniquely, they have small aquariums of beta fish that you can take to your room if you would like a little pet during your stay. “Fin Diesel” was my favorite. Parking is very easy. They have their own lot in the back. It is free and convenient. Parking is a premium at Niagara-on-the-Lake so this is a big plus. The town is walkable so we never had to use our car during our stay. The Shaw has rooms in the main building and also in a side building above a restaurant. We stayed in the side building and it was very quiet and pleasant. Highly recommend.

It was great being just on the edge of the main strip. A quick walk to the many shops, restaurants and bars for whatever we were looking for. We also used the courtesy shuttle to the two sisters/Peller Estates wineries and it was quick and convenient. I would highly recommend staying here.

Very clean. Close to theater. Easy parking. The only negative thing was that our room was in the extension part of hotel which you needed to go up stairs to get into room. Not good for people that have mobility issues. But we were fine.

We decided to stay here because we were going to the Shaw Festival theater. It was our 36th anniversary. I decided to pay for a better/larger room with a Jacuzzi because I thought it would be a nice room. I was wrong!! The room was very dirty. It looked like it was cleaned but not well. There were spots on the sink, "splash" around the sink and dirty run marks on the sink cabinet door. The room was dusty(very dusty) and there stuff under the bed that should have been vacuumed long ago. This tarnished our anniversary stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The rest of our trip was good but we would have to think twice about spending the money we did. On that note, the front desk said because we paid through Expedia they could not compensate us. I received no response from a manager at the hotel . I emailed pictures and then 2 days later I got an "apology email" saying I could get a discount to return ............ to an unclean room?!? I think not.

Pretty from far but far from pretty. We were in a club room and when you’re paying ~$400/night, there is an expectation for cleanliness and the quality of the property. There was something peeling behind the vanity, I don’t think they’ve ever cleaned between the vanity and the wall (which has a 3” gap). The bedside table had a lower shelf that I could draw in the dust. The location is great, the off street parking is a huge plus, but don’t think it’s worth the price.

Zees is fabulous. Staff are helpful. Room is run down and needs a makeover. Room was dusty and the bartroom needed a cleaning.

The rooms were rather small, which I was expecting since the buildings are old. But the cleanliness could’ve been better. There were stains on the walls and curtains, the shower had a decent amount of grime, and the wallpaper and ceiling had points that appeared to be pealing. The bed itself was a hard mattress which is difficult for me to sleep in. The staff was always friendly and accommodating, and the property was well maintained. You can’t beat the location as well. Overall, I’d expect a little more for the price we’re paying as it’s a premium for being so close to the main stip and the label of Niagara on the Lakes finest. The be

Staff were first class. Room was nice but a little dated. Television was so old, awful picture quality and could not stream or cast. For $300/night it was disappointing trying to watch the World Series.

Disappointing compared to past stays. Nice rooms and restaurant, fast charger for our EV but... Bored teenager greeting us at check-in, insufficient AC at night and no more brunch on Sunday!

Have stayed here a couple of times now but will have to reconsider going forward. I feel this hotel falls short on some of the basics - no HD tv - loud air conditioner- the window blinds were not working properly and about 1/3 of the window to our room was exposed.

Room was very ordinary. Internet did not work. Could not reach tech support. Pillows were poor. Towels and shower condiments were poor , relative to hotel price.

The Shaw Club is well located but it needs a little update. Our room was in the annex and it seems that they need to update the plumbing and A/C (very noisy). The staff was not very helpful. However we had a great time at their restaurant. Food and service were great!

Check-in was easy and the staff were courteous and friendly. The hotel lobby was very pleasant and well decorated. Our room was in an annexe building attached to the hotel. The entrance was through a door from the car park, and we then had to negotiate a steep flight of stairs with our luggage, which was quite a feat. The room was pleasant enough, but strangely had a quite dated looking jacuzzi in the corner of the bedroom. The bathroom, with shower and toilet, was quite small, and needed some updating. Maybe more space could be utilised, by losing the jacuzzi and making the bathroom a little larger. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and we slept very well. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location, with a large car park at the rear, next to the centre of the beautiful, picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, where there are lots of restaurants, bars and independent stores Would we stay here again? Yes, definitely in NOTL, but, sadly, not in this hotel. I think in it’s day, this property would have been ideal, but maybe it is living on it’s past reputation, rather than investing in more modern facilities for it’s guests. Just an opinion.

Rooms were comfortable and roomy. Staff was excellent. On complaint is the pillows were too big and not comfortable. Everything else was perfect.

I have paid much less money for a much better hotel room in my life, but that being said, every hotel (and restaurant ) in Niagara on the Lake is overpriced. The property is dated and our room needs renovating badly. There was no hot water in the shower in the morning. The under window air conditioning unit was extremely loud. The mini fridge in the room made a trickling sound all night long. There are zero USB ports in the room, so bring a few cubes if you want to charge your devices. The pillows on the bed were way too hard. I’m not normally a complainer, but for almost $350 a night, I’d expect much, much better than this. It’s a great location if you’re going to see a show at the Festival Theatre, and the front desk staff were lovely.

Great place to stay if you want to visit Niagara Falls but avoid the lights and crowds. We loved Niagara on the Lake - some lovely shops and good places to eat. Balzac’s is the place for your morning coffee! Only negative about the hotel is the aircon units in the rooms away from the main block - very noisy and very old plus ours looked like it very much needed a filter clean.

They charged me an extra $50 for checking in early when the room was available and ready. In all of my travels around the world I have never been asked to pay extra when the room was ready and available. This is a money grab in my opinion. Plus the rooms need a refresh.

Upon greeting at the lobby we were handed over the keys from a young lady like it was a motel 8. No friendliness or info about the hotel or the amenities. The washroom was untouched from likely the 90's, old toilet, shower didn't even drain properly and room looked dated, tired and dark. Not worth the premium rate charge.

The staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. After 1 day remembered the morning room service coffee order. The waitstaff was equally accommodating. Well informed about the menu and ready to offer suggestions when asked. Luggage was dealt with graciously when help was needed. Desk staff went out of their way to acknowledge entries with a pleasant comment or two.

Room was great in the main building. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend. We're coming back in August with friends.

The Shaw Club was wonderful. Close enough to walk to shops and restaurants at Niagara on the Lake. Also quiet enough to relax and enjoy a night away. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Onsite parking made things very easy. Would definitely stay here again.

The woman at main reception told us we needed to wait until 3pm to check in. 3pm came and then we were told the room was still not ready. We had reservations and were late. Very disappointed

The restaurant serves good food but their service is EXTREMELY slow! Hotel is in a great location. Rooms are small but nice.

Clean room, modern and up to date, staff is excellent. We had dins at Zees and it was very good, amazing waitstaff.

Room featured a strong and unpleasant odour we eventually attributed to air conditioning unit. Went to the bar / restaurant for a drink at 5pm and without any prompting from us were told “we can’t serve you food” (this despite a nearby table being served a meal). Went for breakfast the next morning and were told we’d “better hurry”. Never again. Awful place with unfounded pretensions.

Friendly staff, beautiful room. Convenient parking, especially when on street parking is hard to find. We also had a great meal at the on site restaurant, Zee Zee’s.

We had a fantastic anniversary weekend at the Shaw club. The property is immaculate, rooms, lovely, very clean, and very walkable! The restaurant was delicious both times we ate there with our server, Sandro being a highlight. We loved the lavender and other flowers alongside the exterior of the building as well. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again during our next visit!
