Stayed two nights. Was able to park our rental car in the hotel’s small lot behind the hotel — 1500 yen per day. The hotel is close to the station and downtown, so it’s easy to walk to a variety of nice restaurants. Coin laundry on the second floor. Would gladly stay at this hotel again.

Excellent sized room. Very comfortable bed. Good size bathroom. Free coffee machine including hot chocolate in lobby with biscuits, lollies. There was a mix of about six different teas. Help yourself whenever. Really great after walking in -3 weather.

We stayed the night at this hotel during a longer trip and chose it for its proximity to Nagano Train Station. We saw the hotel from the train when we arrived into Nagano so it gave us our bearings to walk there from the station with the aid of Google maps. The room was comfortable and a good size. The bonus was the massage chair which my young son loved to use. This hotel has excellent facilities for travellers like the coin operated laundry facilities on the 2nd floor and the microwave oven for heating food. In the lobby, there’s a refreshment station and toiletries for guests to take. The staff are lovely and helpful and speak good English for those of us who don’t speak Japanese. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a quality hotel close to Nagano station.

Staff was friendly and welcoming, which is pretty standard for hotels in Japan. 5/5. Hotel room was clean and spacious (especially compared to the hotel we stayed at in Tokyo), and also QUIET. Didn't hear a peep from our neighbors. 5/5. - We didn't ask for it when I booked, but we were put into a room on the 11th floor (top two or three floors were "grand" floors). 12th floor is the restaurant. I guess I lucked out in my booking. Laundry was coin-op on the 2nd floor. 400 Yen to wash, 100 Yen to dry for 20 minutes (I think? Maybe it was 100 Yen to dry for 50 minutes...I honestly can't recall, but it wasn't expensive). Hotel was only about a 5-10 minute walk (depending on how fast you walk) to Nagano Station, so its proximity to public transit was super convenient. There's also a Lawson on the way to/from Nagano station, so bonus points there. Breakfast was good, we only took advantage of it once. You need to buy a ticket and pay for it at the front desk by 7pm or 9pm the day before, so you'll need to somewhat plan ahead. Offered both Western and Japanese breakfasts. All around great value for the location and amenities offered. We would definitely stay at Chisun Grand Nagano again.

Great hotel about a 6 minute walk from Nagano train station. You can hear the trains from the rooms on the side of the hotel facing the tracks, but it is very muffled. Tiny rooms like all Japanese hotels in the affordable range. But very functional, great staff with decent (for Japan) English. My room had a killer massage chair, love the place just for that. Extremely clean, good neighborhood and a great value for the price range.

We took a junior suite as that was the only room with two beds available. It was big, had two double beds, and a sofa, plus a massage chair - much welcomed after a day's walking. Decor was dated but well maintained and functional. Only oddity was that there was no safety box in the room. Room was clean, staff - both front deskers and housekeeping were efficient and friendly. Ah yes, we could have additional pillows, and the choice between simmons and tempur. it was nice to sleep with four pillows for each of us. Don't know about breakfast as we didn't book that.

The property is nice. Check in staff were trying however communication was difficult with them just speaking at you until they tried to goggle translate. Clean and well maintained. Breakfast staff were very rude to everybody.

We stayed 3 nights and were very happy with this hotel. Located within a short walking distance from the Nagano train station made getting in and out quite easy. It is also located close to many small restaurants offering a variety of cuisines.

Stayed a couple of nights. Nice size comfortable room with a good view over Nagano to the mountains. Lovely breakfast room on the top floor with large windows and good views. Breakfast had a large selections of food which was very good, The hotel is close to the train station, but the rooms are not noisy from the trains. Easy town to walk around from the hotel.

An excellent property that is conveniently located to public transport. The Nagano station is only a 5-minute walk away. There are numerous places to eat all within a comfortable 15-minute stroll. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were amazing! Rooms are large and very well appointed. Excellent value.

We needed to walk a distance to find the hotel. The buffet breakfast selections are limited compared to other hotels. The waitress kept walking to and fro around our table and reminded us to hurry up to complete our breakfast.

A short walk from the station with comfortable well equipped rooms. The breakfast was the best we have had in three weeks touring Japan lots of local specialities (soba, tempura grape leaves, interesting egg and tofu dishes etc) freshly prepared and of very good quality served in a top floor dining room looking out over the surrounding hills.
