Hotel was fine - pool areas always very busy and not enough loungers. Some had reserved names on but no one told us how we could do that. Hotel is over 2 buildings so we had to keep going in lots of different lifts to move around. Room fine quite standard but the air con was quite low and didn’t cool as well as newer venues.

We renamed the hotel ‘The Pergatory’ because we were counting down the days until we left and moved to another hotel. This is a former timeshare property which means they have lots of rooms, which were either self contained apartments or hotel rooms. Either way, they haven’t been modernised since the eighties. The biggest issue by far is the fact that there simply aren’t enough sun beds for guests. Add to the fact that they allow people to ‘reserve’ them from stupid o’clock in the morning means that unless you get up at 7am, there’s no way you will get one. Yes, it’s a bit cheaper than the Maritim hotel across the road but that place is WAY better - I’ve stayed there half a dozen times. The only reason I stayed at the Pergatory is because I left it too late to book

Amazing spa hotel with great facilities, very clean. Every person we had contact with was friendly and professional. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are fantastic. There are 2 outdoor pools which we didn't use as we visited in February. Location of the hotel is perfect if you rely on public transport. Easy access to Gozo as well. Overall very good experience, we'll definitely be back.

We had a standard 2 bedroom apartment and stayed half board from Oct 25th - Nov 3rd 2024. The staff at Pergola are fanatastic. There was one particlar woman, who i think was managing the dinining staff, who was amazing and even brought treats for my 11 year old daughter who suffers a severe milk allergy. We also used the hydro bath massage in the spa, which was complimentary! This was also lovely! We had a lovely stay at Pergola. We did have to flag that we needed toilet roll on a few days and also had to alert staff to clean a neighbouring room food service trays. Also on one day had to flag staff to clean our room. But once alerted, they were incredibly apologetic and sorted it promptly. Again, great staff. My only advice would be to update the gym. The two treadmills are not useable. Also the row machine and bike computers do not work so you cannot set any resistance. The cross trainer did work though and the weights and mats etc are great. Its also a nice space that the gym is located. I hate to say anything negative, as i did enjoy my stay. I LOVED how spacious the apartment was and we enjoyed the food. It is a lovely hotel. Cant comment too much on location as we hired a car. There is a beautiful church near by that is worth visiting and a WWII air shelter. Also as it is in Mellieha, it is well serviced by buses going to lots of places such as Valletta or Cirkewwa (port to Gozo).

Hôtel assez joli mais vieillissant. Très bien placé dans la ville, la mer est a 1.2km à pied mais avec une route bien pentue, ça se mérite. La télé accroché au mur à failli tomber, et le tiroir du meuble de SDB ne va pas tarder. Pas de rangement suffisant dans la chambre pour 3 personnes, et si ont veut faire nettoyer sa serviette de piscine fourni par leur soin il faut payer 5 e par serviette. Coté piscine pas mal, il y a 2 piscines extérieures et une intérieure, par contre celle côté bar qui est la plus grande n'était pas trop propre, eau un peu trouble, et surtout pas mal de cheveux long qui se promène dedans, c'est désagréable. Le petit déjeuner buffet, coté sucré vraiment pas terrible, les jus de fruits ne sont pas bons, c'est plus de l'eau qu'autre chose, par contre pour le salé côté anglais ça allait. Dommage qu au niveau du personnel que personne ne parle français vu qu'il y a beaucoup de clients français. J'ai trouvé que cet hôtel est un peu cher au vu de la prestation.

Hotel was lovely. Poor area was nice and clean. Cave bar was fine but entertainment only on 2 nights. Cocktails seemed to shrink towards the end of our stay in late October. We stayed in an economy room, which had a massive bed but too big for the size of the room and not much space to move round it and storage for clothes lacking with only 2 small drawers. Needed less hanging space, more shelves. Room smelled of damp and mould, although none visible. Dining room staff at times seemed harrassed at breakfast, in the evening rudely banging cups at 7.30pm while setting up for breakfast while people were still arriving for dinner. Not acceptable. Food was good, although cakes/desserts were pretty much the same/similar wacv night. Overall nice hotel pleasant stay. Nice beach at the bottom of the steep hill. You can take a bus uphill, though.

We found a crocoach in the bathroom which was scary. I'll advise the hotel do a thorough fumigation of the hotel and leep their toilet drainage all completely sealed.

We enjoyed a 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious, if a bit tired in terms of decor. Pool areas were great and not over crowded. A great hotel in that it’s not too big and in a fab location. Bars and restaurants in walking distance and bus stop within a 5 minute walk. Would recommend.

The hotel is good overall. The rooms were clean, but the furniture is a bit outdated. The door to the balcony did not close properly. Very small TV without smart functions (no Netflix etc). Paid parking available, but should be reserved in advance. Good selection at breakfast, the orange juice could be better.

Belle découverte avec cet hotel. Accueil rapide et facile pour récupérer la carte de la chambre. L’appartement 7026 avec une chambre au dernier étage donne une vue magnifique sur la mer et la ville. La chambre est confortable, le salon avec la cuisine aussi. Par contre le canapé conviendra seulement à un enfant (confort moyen sinon). La salle de bain est agréable aussi. Il y a 3 piscines: une petite dehors non chauffée à l’intérieur d’une cour, une petite piscine chauffée à l’interieur avec la salle de sport et sauna. Et une piscine un peu plus grande (infinity pool) sur la terrasse exterieure avec une vue magnifique mais non chauffée. Plusieurs possibilités de restauration dans ou autours de l’hotel. Par contre parking payant intérieur, ou stationnement dans la rue autours. Le gros soucis de l’appartement 7026 c’est l’ascenseur A qui est collé à l’appartement et qui fait un bruit infernal toute la journée et une partie de la nuit: dès qu’il est utilisé il fait un bruit qu’on entend dans tout l’appartement. Dès le matin ça réveille de façon désastreuse. C’est dommage sinon c’était un sans faute.

A lovely family stay at the Pergola in Melleha. This is a perfect location to explore Malta, close to shops and lots of great restaurants. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and the ac was a little temperamental and the furnishing dated but it was spacious and great for a family of four. Lovely pool, service and friendly staff.

Not the best for what they advertise, at best a 3 star hotel. They don’t serve any vegetarian food for breakfast, it’s the 21st century, you have to request vegetarian breakfast then they will make it for you. However the food was so poor quality it was not edible. At the end we told them not to worry about making any food for the rest of the stay. Kids struggled with the limited selection of food available. Was very disappointed, the front desk staff could not care, just kept on telling us to contact the restaurant. We would not book again.

I’m not very impressed with this hotel . Firstly I waited 40 mins to check in , only one person on reception . The shower head wouldn’t stay attached to the wall and on the hottest day they never put the AC on in the rooms . The food was ok but very overpriced bottles of wine for what was only cheap local wine . When the AC was on it was leaking water by the entrance door , so I had to put a towel down so as not to slip in the night . There was no separate cafe area , so it was only the very noisy and cramped pool bar . Not very impressed . Wouldn’t stay again especially the over priced room I had which was tiny and no view .

Regarding the staff, a lady named Asmita was highly outstanding and extremely kind, helpful, professionally impeccable, friendly and precise. Even though we didn't speak the same language, she helped us with everything and found a solution for everything. Otherwise, all their employees were appropriate and friendly. Balázs at the reception was also outstanding for me.

Wonderful hotel and amazing staff. I felt pampered from the moment I walked in the door, everyone was smiling and so helpful. My room was beautiful, overlooking the smaller pool and immaculately cleaned. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, shops and the beach. But if you don’t feel like walking there is a bus stop across the bridge from the hotel. Cave bar is a must, lovely cocktails and the view is spectacular.

Hotel in posizione panoramica sulla baia di mellieha e sulla bellissima chiesa. Ha una piscina molto bella. Per arrivare alla spiaggia però bisogna fare un km in salita (serve la macchina o ci sono gli autobus). Abbiamo usufruito della mezza pensione, cena abbastanza buona, solo un po' ripetitiva. Avevamo una camera bella e con buoni materassi tranne quello del divano letto che era pessimo.

Personnel souriant et très accueillant. Chambre de bonne taille, propre, calme, bonne literie. La seule chose gênante était la lumière du balcon qui restait allumée une bonne partie de la nuit et qui filtrait sous le rideau. Repas sous forme de buffet, assez varié. Je trouve que les machines à café et boissons sont mal situées dans l'espace petit-déjeuner car elles se trouvent sur le passage pour se rendre au buffet et en repartir et cela provoque des embouteillages. Prix des boissons au bar très raisonnables, happy hours sur les cocktails de 18h00 à 20h00. Hôtel bien situé, arrêt de bus à 2 minutes à pied, très pratique.

Lovely Stay at the Perogola Hotel during the first week of October. The hotel is situated in a quiet town at the top of the hill, overlooking the bay and large church, we opted for the sea view which was worth paying the extra. Our apartment was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Staff were always friendly and helpful especially the reception who all had local knowledge so could help with planning trips out. It’s well worth getting a weekly bus pass so you can explore the local area, and so that you don’t have to walk up the hill from the beach. The cave bar and pool area were my favourite, always clean and tidy, not to busy when we were there. Good choice of cocktails, snacks and ice creams. We had half board, the food was good but not exceptional, we always found something to eat, breakfast was a little repetitive withe the usual bacon eggs, bread , cheese and fruit. The only negative thing I could say is that if you have poor mobility the hotel does have a lot of steps (lifts are available) not a problem for us

Overall everything was okay, except for no option for very limited options for vegetarians. Hotel advertised as Parking available, but we were charged €13/night for parking our car. Very disappointed.

This was a lovely hotel and the room was perfect with a separate living area with pull out bed for my daughter & her boyfriend. The only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is because the cocktails were awful, but other than that it was lovely.

All good - basic rooms, tiny balconies and a crap view, but clean and functional. Breakfast was nice if a bit choice limited, staff were pleasant and helpful.

Reception staff were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help. Breakfast was lovely (just a shame there weren’t pancakes everyday for the kids). Room really clean, excellent size. Pools and spa facilities spotless. The area is lovely, quieter than the main areas of Malta but still plenty of lovely restaurants nearby and nice beaches. Overall amazing stay.

An amazing stay from start to finish. Minor issues were sorted quickly. Minor gripe was the kitchen in our room could do with refreshment. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good and very reasonably priced.

Spa de qualité, piscine très petite et pas très propre La demi pension aucune boissons d'incluse ,les plats sont bons mais pas droit d'avoir de l'eau même en carafe sur la table,tout est payant si on veut boire .
