Disappointed this time. After 5 hour drive took an hour to get a parking spot. Pool was closed for 2 of the 3 days we were there. Never refilled coffee in the room. Rooms were very run down.

Front desk staff was very friendly. Parking at the hotel is paid public parking so no guarantee of a spot...but...staff let me know of a public garage that was only a block away...and the garage was free on the weekends. Very helpful. The restaurant on-site was great...the atmosphere and the food. It overlooks the waterfront and there is tons of outdoor seating for the summer.

Property was within walking distance of a variety of stores. The paid parking is something thag needs to be addressed, because they charge per night whether you have a spot to park or not. That’s a problem. Otherwise it was an okay stay, there’s no hot tub and the gym equipment is lacking.

The water in the pool was quite cold, and it was too deep for children to use safely. Also, there weren’t enough seats available during breakfast, which made it a bit uncomfortable. Despite these issues, I still recommend this place for its great location.

Breakfast was a big disappointment. No real cutlery and the only fruit was a banana. There was as juice thank goodness. I felt mislead when told buffet breakfast and really it was as just one step above continental. Staff were polite and very nice. Pool closed for repairs.

Parking was insufficient and not monitored. The hotel charged a fee to park but couldn’t guaranteed that a spot was available. There were more guests than parking available. The front desk told us to go search for a spot and if there wasn’t one, use an overflow lot off the property but stilled CHARGED. The parking was crazy, cars waiting, then racing to a spot, people trolling waiting for a long time for a spot to open, pedestrians standing in open spots while drivers raced to get the spot, it was nuts and totally lacked order or adequate accommodation for guest. Staff inside didn’t care and offered no help. And of course, they stilled charged for parking. Never seen anything like it.

The pool was cold. The hotel description states the pool is heated. My child loves swimming and she couldn’t enjoy the pool, we only stayed a few minutes. All of the other people in the pool area were complaining about how cold it was as well.

Looked like most/all suite entry doors were patch painted with wrong color. Gym/weight room is mediocre and tiny. Tv in gym not working. One of the two elliptical was broken making weird noise. Very clean and great staff though.

Looked forward to out 2 night stay. Carpets stained in the room. Beds comfortable. Front desk staff cordial. Loud party in room next door so asked to be moved. Put us in basement lower level. Room obviously had not been used for awhile. Very dusty. Centipede in bathroom. Breakfast below average so did not eat there. Very disappointed and will not return.

The hotel room was filthy with chewing gum stuck to the chairs and floor, along with body hair on surfaces. The pool was horrific with body hair all over the pool deck and on the pool chairs. The Hotel is not clean and we did not stay the night due to the uncleanliness of the Hotel. We stayed a 3 hours and left. When we spoke to reception at check-in he was not professional and hardly acknowledge us and our questions about the pool location and wifi. When we spoke to the same receptionist that we were checking out he stated good, and go speak to my manager.

Not clean...sheets stained, bed covers stained , carpet stained and dirty, telephone was just gross with a dead bug on it as it is in the picture. Breakfast... very poor choices Paid for parking $22 extra when we got there..

The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the location can't be beat. However, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. The bathtub appeared like someone had shaved in it and it was not cleaned, and one of the two towels was stained. I would not say not to stay here, but definitely inspect the room before settling in.

Upon checkin and after routine inspection we found chips underneath the ottoman, left over candy in the drawer and most importantly a bug under the bedsheets. Front desked got us a new room but the concern is how did this room get released to guests

Stayed here once a year on annual vacation for many years. Possibly the best stay yet! The housekeeping staff were excellent at keeping everything clean and tidy while not banging around super early.

The location right next to Lake Ontario is excellent and is probably the best thing about this hotel. Also very close to shops and restaurants around downtown Burlington. The rooms look like they're in need of an upgrade (stained carpets, a chair with peeling upholstery, cracked toilet bowl). The walls were not particularly sound-proof and unfortunately, we were woken up in the middle of the night by noise coming from the room next to us. The receptionists that we came in contact with were not particularly warm, but everyone was respectful. We checked out a day early.

The blinds in the room were well beyond repair and would need to be replaced. The same for the office chair in the room. Otherwise, the room and hotel in general was fine. Note that the parking is not included. The parking costs 22$/night.

Only negatives was the lighting in the room. One bedside lamp was out and we thought just a bulb but when my husbands switched bulbs it would not work so an electrical issue. There gave us a lamp to use but still the room needed more light. TV had a snowy picture….frustrating.

This hotel is getting very tired and needs a refresh. The blackout blind was tattered and torn in our room and the desk chair was also tattered and torn. The bathroom needs a serious upgrade. The shower curtain was grubby and the drain in the tub of the shower was rusty and severely chipped. The hallway corridor is very beaten and the finishes were poor. The heating/air conditioning unit in the room is old, seemed dusty and didnt have digital display so you had no idea what temperature you were setting your room to. The bed was confortable enough and clean enough. Your only other choice for that very convenient location in the heart of downtown Burlington close to restaurants and bars and the view of Lake Ontario is the new hotel next door which is twice the price of this hotel.

I booked a room for my wedding coordinator and called to confirm they noted her name on the booking, also confirmed early check in. She got there and they wouldn’t give her a room. She had to call me in the middle of my first look to get into her room. They also told her they couldn’t give her early check in and she missed the wedding ceremony. Awful service, extremely disappointed.

I discovered that the deadbolt on my door was broken on my first night. I called the front desk to ask for another room, and they said they’d send someone the following morning to fix it. Sadly, they were unable to move me since the hotel was fully booked and said there was nothing else they could do. I was gone for most of my second day for business and returned to my room at 9pm to find that the lock still wasn’t fixed. No apologies or explanation. I didn’t sleep well either night, and felt unsafe. I’m utterly disappointed and do not recommend the Waterfront Hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Burlington, Ontario.

When we went to lock our room at night we found duck tape and our peep hole blocked. We immediately felt unsafe and took it to the front desk. The girl at the front desk was not concerned at all and brushed it off, telling us the manager would be in the next morning. The more we talked about this we really did not feel safe in our room so we asked to switch and after a lot of back and forth we finally got the “last” room and had to switch at 1am. The next morning we checked out and asked to speak to the manager and the new girl at the front desk was very rude and pushed us away. For feeling like someone was tampering with our room and safety, we were treated like we were in the wrong. It was terrible. No compensation or sympathy what so ever.

Worst experience. Rude staff. On check on they commit different things and later on they shout and get rude. 0 customer service and no patience to listen to customer. Paula on front desk was really rude. Management of hotel can check the camera aa well. Or i have the video yo share.

Horrible service. Mix up with rooms and key cards. We were given keys to rooms that were occupied and we were sent back and forth and they wanted to force us to pay even though the room had already been paid and booked. Ended up having to go to a different hotel. Manager says we need to fight with Expedia to get refund.

Always enjoy this property as it overlooks Lake Ontario and Burlington skyway bridge. The waterfront promenade is delightful to walk along both during daytime and in the evening. The hotel property has a lovely dining room and patio overlooking the waterfront. The included breakfast is better than most.

The room was large, clean, and well provisioned with a coffee machine, fridge, and microwave. Bed was excellent and the view was amazing even from the 1st floor (US 2nd for). Bar was lovely with a good selection of beers at similar prices to pubs downtown, restaurant food was amazing.

Check-in was smooth and easy since I prepaid online. The room was nice and clean, mostly updated except for the old bathtub. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. My biggest complaint is the parking — there’s no reserved parking for hotel guests, so I had to leave my car two blocks away and roll my luggage back to the hotel. Breakfast was also frustrating. It sat empty for a good 20 minutes, and once it was finally restocked there was a long line, only for things to run out again. On the plus side, the location can’t be beat. Being able to walk right out to the waterfront made the stay worthwhile.

Everything was good except the restaurant the port house .we waited half hour and still didn't get anyone to come and serve us .then we asked about happy hour since we arrived there at 515 .the sign in the front says happy hour daily 3 to 6 .they said no but the couple beside us got it.the manager owner said they can do anything about it .there was 6 of us and told him we didn't get anyone to serve us .we left and all he could say was sorry and they were not busy.just talking alot
