The hot tub and sauna were closed. The breakfasts were great. Some of the other guests were noisy. Not close to town but there is a bus stop right there. Cute swiss chalet:German theme.

We took my 2 nieces on a weekend getaway and stayed at the Ramada in Campbell River. The swimming pool was indoor and clean, free mini golf onsite, and free breakfast!! The staff were friendly, polite and helpful, they were amazing!! The room was a little older but it was clean and the beds were comfy. We’d stay again and will be rebooking next year! Thank you!

I was surprised to find no air conditioning, just a noisy fan, no screen on the sliding door, we had animals so couldn’t keep door open for air, and we were very disappointed to find no sauna or hot tub after we got suited up just for that. To be told it was built forever ago so isn’t able to update parts etc. so just closed off. Rooms were around $300/night so does not justify not updating the property, and it was advertised to have the sauna/hot tub-maybe time to adjust that info given. Bed was comfy, shower was great, bathroom was decent and animal friendly.

Amazing location to water and easy drive to shops. Rooms are very old and in desperate need of refurbishment. Beds are comfy but bring your own pillow. Room has a microwave, fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast included (waffles, eggs, bacon or sausages, cereal, tea/coffee, cereals etc) Indoor pool, gym, mini golf, vending machines and self serve laundry. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We've stayed here many times and it's been our go-to hotel while we're in town however it seems to be going downhill. The room felt neglected, and while the bedding was clean the room overall didn't feel very clean. We typically love the breakfast here and this time it was absolutely horrible, we couldn't eat it. There also used to be a hot tub, sauna and pool but now there is just the pool left and it also feels quite run down. I wouldn't expect it to be open much longer either. This place needs some TLC. Great location though right across the water.

They advertise that they have a Sauna and Hot tub. But both have been broken for over a year, and they do not plan on fixing them. I do not believe that they should be allowed to advertise having certain amenities that aren't available. Expedia needs to mandate that they change their ad, and reimburse a % of the cost!

Front and kitchen staff were great. The room and facilities were pretty gruesome though. There was so much dust, debris, spider webs. Either have a professional cleaner train the staff and hire professional cleaners to do a deep clean. It's time. The housekeeping staff were nice and helpful.

The bathroom had hair everywhere. The carpets in the room were dirty and looked like dog fur everywhere. I called for a vacuum and cleaned it as best I could myself. I was drying the floor the next morning and the white towel turned brown. I brought it to the front desk and all they said was it's hard to keep their floors clean. I did get a discount on my stay, but I think they could have done a much better job on cleaning.

The room was very dated and smelled funky, like it hadn't been aired out for a while or a wet dog rolled all over the carpet. The sofa was saggy to sit on. I couldn't imagine what it might have been like to sleep on. There was no plug for the sink, and the towel bar was loose. The most positive thing was that the bed was comfortable.

There was no elevator so I had to cancel my stay as medical issues I couldn't do stairs to the third floor and then the beds were in a loft . The washroom was below the bedroom so would have to go down again. No enough information when on the site about the hotel

First the good: the staff were very friendly and helpful and did their best. The bed was comfortable. The bedding was clean. The bathroom had plentiful nice white towels. Now the bad: this hotel is old and tired. The common areas and hallways are in desperate need of sprucing up: the walls were badly scuffed and dirty, the carpet dirty, stained and frayed. Our room was the same: the couch sagged, the floors sagged, the bathroom heat register was covered in dust and hair. The bathtub surround had been repaired with a coreplast plastic sheet that was been caulked into place! Breakfast was mediocre but adequate. Our room had two floors (bed in a loft). No elevator in the building. Had to carry bags up to third floor. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. The hotel is on a busy highway across from the beach. Rooms face the highway. There is a lot of traffic noise in the room. We ran a fan all night to help block the traffic noise but it still kept my husband awake. Would not stay here again.

Breakfast menu fresh, and good, but we are fussy abt. bread. View from balcony was heavenly and hotel across the street from the ocean front - Quadra island x the strait, and cruiseships coming thru. not our first or last trip to this hotel - location covers lots of problems for the upkeep.

Dark and dreary room, very little lighting especially the bathroom. Clean enough but badly needs a refresh. Good breakfast and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Blinds or net curtains would be great on the ground floor windows. I expected more from Ramada.

Not a bad little spot, it was nice to be able to see the water from our room. The breakfast was nice, simple but tasty, maybe some different cereal options would have been good as they were all mostly the same except for Froot Loops, haha. The hotel was quiet though walls were thin as it's an older building, but we didn't find it too disturbing. Good for an affordable overnight and the staff was very friendly and welcoming!

In general, carpets look dirty and old. We had a great view of the strait, but the glass doors didn’t work very well; definitely they need to be replaced. The little decks weren’t very cleaned. Bathroom was clean but it had a strong smell. Room was okay, bed was comfortable. This hotel needs a lot of upgrades, it looks run down. Location is great, breakfast was good and well run by the lady in charge. Staff was very polite and friendly.

Dated hotel with an excellent oceanfront location. Kids liked the loft style room and easy access to the beach. Breakfast was excellent. We were disappointed in the lack of air conditioning and the fact that our patio door was so hard to open we couldn’t use it to enjoy the view.

It was a great stay. The rooms was comfortable. However, it needs some renovations, the room was dark. Maybe changing the red carpet to a clean color would bring more vibrancy to the room. The curtains are little dirty as well.

We stayed at this hotel every year for 15 years until the start of Covid. We always enjoyed our stay. This was our first visit since 2019. We were disappointed in the condition of the hotel. The property was run down and in poor repair. It felt like nothing has been done in 5 years! In addition, the plumbing is in bad condition. On top of the poor condition, the one staff person we had any contact with was unwelcoming and rude on our arrival.
We stayed at this hotel every year for 15 years until the start of Covid. We always enjoyed our stay. This was our first visit since 2019. We were disappointed in the condition of the hotel. The property was run down and in poor repair. It felt like nothing has been done in 5 years! In addition, the plumbing is in bad condition. The staff was great, very good service. Breakfast in the morning is a nice touch always too. However, the hot tub and sauna were both out of commission. I think there should be a discount when this happens as these features were one of the reasons I booked my stay here.

Two night stay. Began great, ending terrible. Second morning trying to check out, no clerk around, had Head of Cleaning staff (Tonie) do up our bill. why do you add a $100 damage deposit and not advise customer of same. Second morning cook apparently sick, thus no breakfast no credit, no nothing. Customers could not even get a cup of coffee in office, WHY! NO manager. Sorry I am a due A $100 CREDIT.

The cleaning staff and front desk staff do a very good job, that’s where it ends. It seems there is no building maintenance done. All the automatic door closers in the hallways do not work and slam the doors. I have stayed in several different rooms and the plumbing fixtures all need servicing, even some of the flush handles on the toilet. None of the patio doors that I have seen work. This is a very poor representation of Ramada Inns. It is also disappointing to find out the whole place except the third level is used as a dog kennel now. I stay there because of the location, good convenient breakfast and mainly the pool, but the sauna and hot tub seem to have been permanently abandoned but not cleaned out. Gotta give up I guess!

First the good: the staff were very friendly and helpful and did their best. The bed was comfortable. The bedding was clean. The bathroom had plentiful nice white towels. Now the bad: this hotel is old and tired. The common areas and hallways are in desperate need of sprucing up: the walls were badly scuffed and dirty, the carpet dirty, stained and frayed. Our room was the same: the couch sagged, the floors sagged, the bathroom heat register was covered in dust and hair. The bathtub surround had been repaired with a coreplast plastic sheet that was been caulked into place! Breakfast was mediocre but adequate. Our room had two floors (bed in a loft). No elevator in the building. Had to carry bags up to third floor. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. The hotel is on a busy highway across from the beach. Rooms face the highway. There is a lot of traffic noise in the room. We ran a fan all night to help block the traffic noise but it still kept my husband awake. Would not stay here again.

It was fairly quiet given right next store to an extremely popular restaurant, somebody, probably drunk, kept trying to get into my room; and the plumbing needs some work BUT the best was amazing, sunrise incredible and it was right across from the ocean with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Pros: Beautiful location with scenic views. Pool, mini golf, and ping pong for entertainment. Cons: Outdated rooms with no a/c. Pool is closed on Sundays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. for maintenance (I find this choice of day/time to be quite odd to schedule maintenance). There is supposed to be breakfast included with the stay however the chef called in sick and they cancelled breakfast for both days (Saturday and Sunday). I think a couple of packs of doughnuts would have gone a long way with all of the disappointed guests. Overall it would be ok for a night or 2 but would not book longer than that.
