The first impression we had once we did arrive at the hotel was very good. It was walking into a secret gem in the middle of Morelia. The staff was very kind and helpful to get us to the room. If you want to relax, this is a place to be! What can be improved though is the available amenities. We did pay for a luxury room but there are on a few basics in it. No coffee maker or a microwave available, even to get hot water for a hot bottle was a difficult challenge. There is no business center or a gym available, Overall, looking at the hotel, it is a very nice place.

I’m very pleased with my stay here. I felt safe the entire time with the 24 hr security. It was quiet and ambience was very beautiful. The only thing I would complain about is my shower water never got hot. Only the faucet water did. Other than that, great stay and would come again.

Hotel De la Soledad is amazing! From the moment you step in, you step into another world. The courtyard is beyond beautiful and it’s architecture takes you back to the 18th century. This property pays attention to details and they hit on everything just as advertised! The rooms are also clean, big, and comfortable! The valet parking is also huge plus and worry free. And last but not least, their on-site restaurant is very convenient and the food is delicious! A big thank you to all of the staff at Hotel de la Soledad for making our stay a memorable one! I will definitely come back soon!

It’s hard to explain in words how amazing this property is. The staff is exceptional and staying here was the pinnacle of our trip. The beauty in visiting Morelia lies in La Soledad. The restaurant was amazing. The security makes the property feel safe and will be always at your service. There’s only 1 place in Morelia to stay if you want to have an amazing time. Beyond grateful.

I love this hotel. Probably my favorite hotel in all of Morelia. However my last stay was pretty bad. I asked for an early check in and while I know it’s not mandatory for it to be given, I got a lot of attitude from the receptionist, Celia. She kept on just giving me the go around and basically ignoring my request unless I returned, and her excuse was that they were sanitizing our room. Long story short, she gave me very bad attitude, the manager just gave an about face excuse, and in the end the room had dirty slippers and blankets. And no one was willing to replace them. Very bad experience.

Pricing is at the higher end for Morelia hotels, but definitely worth it. The grounds were lovely and provided a great ambiance for a magnificent stay. Our room was very spacious and clean and had a great sitting area. Although the room windows faced the street, we could hear no noise from the outside. Non hotel guests are limited to the ground floor where restaurant is located. We appreciated this as non hotel guests couldn’t roam freely all over property as we experienced in other hotels. We would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again in future trips.

La ubicación es buena, el colchón es supremo. La limpieza impecable. Pero todo se echa a perder con todo el ruido que hace el staff desde las 7 de la mañana. Se ponen a gritar y hacer ruido sin considerar el descanso de los huéspedes. Nos tocó la habitación 303 y justo enfrente está la bodega de limpieza. Cuando nos retiramos le hicimos el comentario a recepción y nos dijeron “nos hubieran dicho para cambiarlos de cuarto”… no cambiar la actitud del staff, sino cambiarnos de cuarto. (?) es un sitio de descanso, no un cafecito para ponerse a socializar.

Spectacular courtyard setting as two couples arrived at 1pm after a 5 hour journey. We were abruptly told that our rooms were not ready with check in time at 3pm. That has happened to us as we travel lots. We were offered a small cocktail as we waited patiently for news of an opening before that time. We were offered an early check in for p$400 per room. I chose this hotel as it was the most expensive hotel as it was a special celebration. Not one other guest checked in as we waited for an hour then we requested feedback. Nothing. We waited until exactly 3pm until we asked again. They did not even call us one minute early. They should re-visit their policy as their kind cocktail offer encouraged us to stay within the hotel lobby when we could have made the most of our day by exploring Morelia for 2 hours. This made us feel unwelcome and as a result we avoided further spending in the hotel during our 2 day stay there.

Beautiful Hotel with very friendly staff! The bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing. The service in the restaurant was a little slow and the food wasn't amazing, but the ambiance was great. The steak was too salty and the Caesar salad was very fishy tasting and it had mustard mixed into the dressing. The drinks were very good. We had the mezcal cocktail and it was so good!

I've been to Morelia so many times before and had never had the pleasure at staying at such a beautiful property. Not is only the hotel full of history and charm, but the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. The rooms are beautiful and clean. My only regret was not extending my stay or knowing about this place sooner. Oh, and the restaurant on site is delicious!

Beautiful hotel. Soledad suite was gorgeous. Restaurant was almost perfect, yet I found a hair on my plate. Server did not seem to care. He just took my plate and charged our bill right away. Was upset but couldn’t find it in my heart to give it less than 5 stars. Hopefully it never happens again.

The property is beautiful and exquisitely decorated though a little on the expensive side. I never thought we had a VIP room, as ours faced the street and it felt a little noisy at night, but it was tolerable. Breakfast was not included, but as the only meal we would be having at the hotel, we thought it was a good idea to try the food there and it was good. Again, a bit expensive but understandable for a hotel of this category. Social areas are a bit reduced and don't allow for a small gathering of people trying to enjoy the beautiful central patio with all it's plants, particularly because non guests are not allowed beyond certain area, this feels very restricted. The only thing I really consider important mentioning is that people at the reception, both at night during checkin and in the morning for checkout were not as warm and friendly as I would have expected. I had the feeling that they were looking down on us since we were not fancily dressed (traveling all day). Perhaps this is just my appreciation, but I didn't feel well treated, and that can affect the whole stay. Please consider it.

Everything was perfection beginning with the special attentions of Lic. Becerra in reservations to a gorgeous room with L'Occitane products, a fabulous dinner, lovely cocktail service and stylish and delicious breakfasts in a beautiful garden setting. My sister and a mutual friend spent 3 nights in 2 stunning rooms and wished it had been a week! It is a destination hotel!
