We have been staying at this hotel annually since 2007, back when it was the Camino Real. My husband and I even got married here in 2010. It was and is a beautiful hotel, one of the best in Tuxtla. That being said I am disappointed that on this last visit we noticed the property has really gone down hill. While the breakfast buffet is still one of the best I have ever had, almost everything else seems a bit run down: no towels at the pool, not even on request, not enough clean towels for our room every day, towels received were old and dingy, waterfall and water slide in the pool were not functioning, black marks all over the outside of the hotel, empty fountains in restaurant, broken and inadequate chairs around the pool, dirty windows, escalators not working, shower tile needs regrouting, etc. This is still a great hotel and I would still recommend, however it appears that it is not managed or kept to the same standards as well as it was when it was a Camino Real. I was disappointed with the way it looked and will consider other hotels for future visits.

Que mejoren su desayuno. Todo frío. Alberca helada. Entiendo el clima pero no justifica la temperatura del agua. No hay personal continuo en servicio de alimentos en la alberca.

Great service, great room, amazing breakfast, pool, building. Nice hot shower. Everytjing was good. Sometimes the lifts were not working but the stairs were fine. The pool is very cold w of the location/ architecture the sun never gets to it but if you don’t mind a cold seim it’s beautiful.

Había muy pocos camastros en el área de alberca (menos de 10) y los pocos que había permanecían apartados en todo momento. Pasan a tocar todos los días a las 8am para preguntar por lavandería, cosa innecesaria ya que uno debería pedirlo directo. Fuera de eso, el hotel muy muy bonito y la atención de todo el personal fue excelente.

Había muy pocos camastros en el área de alberca (menos de 10) y los pocos que había permanecían apartados en todo momento. Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, excellent restaurant. The pool looks great but it is not heated. It would have been good to know that in advance. I understand that heating the big pool is not efficient, maybe just one of the pools would have made our stay perfect.

The bathroom was full of mold even the rod that holds the shower curtain was black with mold. This is not something the housekeeping should have to deal with. Waters leaking between the walls of the bathtub. tiles with mold in the junctures. Towels were stained and frayed at the edges. Some had half of the edges.

El.hotel es grande y se nota que le falta mantenimiento la hab 423 que me dieron olia espantosa la alfombra Un olor a viejo y sucio. El.baño muy deteriorado, la cortina del baño sucia y partes de esquinas con mugre de hace años. La verdad le urge una remodelada a ese hotel.

Personal amable, hubo un chico en recepción por las tardes/noches Javier muy atento y servicial. Las habitaciones bien, pero no cuentan con minibar. Para entrar a la alberca, no es fácil para una persona mayo meterse, ya que los escalones son tipo piedra y no tienen barandal, pero está muy bonita y limpia. En general tuvimos una agradable estancia, ya que los detalles son menores.

Muy mal servicio al hacer doble cargo al pagar… dos días después de estar hospedada me vuelven a cobrar la misma cantidad llevo 2 semanas esperando me regresen mi dinero y el genrenete de Tuxtla pésimo para resolver este tema. Cómo no es su dinero le vale un comino.

Es la peor experiencia que he tenido en un hotel, no lo vale, toda la noche se escuchó musica de rock fuertisimo dentro de la habitación, dado en la calle hay bares con la música altísima nada recomendable para descansar jamás volvería

Very nice hotel, excellent breakfast buffet, very varied dinner options and room service in reasonable time, its a good option to stay in the center. I'm sorry for the noise in a nightclub from 1:00 am to 4:00 am

Please tip housekeepers, they do an awesome job! This place is conveniently located near Parque de la marimba n other nearby attractions. Transportation is easy, although I would suggest Uber instead of taxis or any other public transportation. Five stars for this hotel. Rooms are a bit outdated but overall is a beautiful hotel, nice pool to kill the heat

Great service, great room, amazing breakfast, pool, building. Nice hot shower. Everytjing was good. Sometimes the lifts were not working but the stairs were fine. The pool is very cold w of the location/ architecture the sun never gets to it but if you don’t mind a cold seim it’s beautiful.

This place is beat — half the elevators don’t work, our AC broke and flooded the room, half the pool features are broken (and there’s stagnant water pooling), the floor in the restaurant has holes worn through. Not up to Marriott standards. Go somewhere else.

CLEAN ROOM:The only problem is that when the person does the cleaning, they don't check that the hair conditioner is empty, and when they clean the room they don't refill it, they don't change the towels, and the trash cans don't have liners. SPA: The two people who attended to us were very professional, respectful, had a positive attitude, listened to our requests, and gave us massages according to how our bodies felt.
