This hotel was easy to find off the highway and close to shopping. The building is in very good condition. The breakfast is good and there is a large seating area. The free weights in the weight room ranged from 5 lbs to 50 lbs and there are 3 cardio machines. The pool area is just a pool and unfortunately the pool heater was not working when I was there. The bedroom had lots of space. There is a microwave and fridge which I appreciated. The only complaint I would have made about the bathroom was the grout areas around the tub could have been cleaned better. However, I would stay here again.

I really loved my stay at the holiday inn express& suites at Huntsville with my friends on a weekday. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we got there to check in the pool was out of order. And we had planned to go swimming so staff member named Zack called the hotel beside and let us use their pool. That was a very nice gesture. Also the complimentary breakfast has a lot of choices such as pancakes, types of cereal, types of sausages, also fresh juice. They even had a 24hr gymnasium which was very clean and open. Overall I would give 9/10 for everything. Hopefully I’ll get to visit the place soon. Until next time Huntsville!

Understaffed and unprepared, prepare to be dissapointed. Room was not ready by 4pm, some in our party could not enter their room until 7pm. Pool closed due to unsafe condition. Elevator was out of order. Desk staff did the best they could, but I will avoid this hotel in future.

My stay was very comfortable and the breakfast was the best variety to choose from. Only thing that was disappointing was the pool was way too cold, specially since it’s an indoor pool. I picked this location for the breakfast and the pool. Now down o the breakfast..

The staff were very pleasant. The gym was basic but nice to use. There was a minor problem with the control of the shower but the staff will likely have this fixed promptly. This was a good hotel

Room was very stuffy/old carpet/old wallpaper falling off walls - updated rooms badly needed. Staff at breakfast made you feel like you were eating too much as they would just stand there and stare at you. Other staff was so much more friendlier. If this is a pet friendly place - carpet should not be on the floors in the room.

Check in was quick and easy, and we also requested late checkout with no issues. Staff were very friendly and kind. Our room could have used some TLC, as things were a bit dated, and there was mold/mildew stains in the shower. A bear was also creating quite the mess in the parking lot with the dumpster— although not the hotels fault. Overall would likely stay here again if they gave the showers a good bleach.

Have stayed here numerous times and choose this location in Huntsville specifically for the great staff we have encountered as well as their commitment to cleanliness. You always notice people cleaning both the lobbies and hallways and it gets noticed by guests. Big kudos to the staff here.

The rooms were okay but the furniture was beat. The bathtub didn’t drain. Fingerprints all over the elevator, was afraid to touch anything. Breakfast was good and people were friendly.

The room was nice and big for us. We did notice that the toilet seat could be changed as it was stained. There were also some sunflower seeds on the carpet from the previous guests. Loved the breakfast and their staff!

Stay was ok. Room was fairly clean however I did not realize that my door did not close properly. If you pulled it hard enough when you left the room it would close and latch. If you slammed it from the inside it would not. The only thing that kept people from coming in my room when I was there was the little flip bar on the door. Bathroom door also did not stay closed. Could not change rooms as there was a cross country skiing race going on in town and the hotel was full. The hotel seems a little old and in need of an update.

The lobby and breakfast area was updated and really pleasant. Rooms are out of date, bathroom was clean but stained, same with the carpet. Beds were clean. Breakfast was okay - same thing you find in any HIE. Well located near restaurants, gas stations, and highway access.

They intentionally gave us the room with broken room lock , when i went to reception the staff told me to stay in the same room without locking it . Then after some argument he changed the room .

Although staff is very friendly, the check in left a lot to be desired. It took us about an hour because the keys wouldn't work - 3 x. They finally came up and when we got in the room, the floor was soaked. We requested to move to a new room and the keys didn't work there either. There was a problem with the key system that they required someone to come and fix. It happens, it was just unfortunate because it took so long just to get into a room. The breakfast was well done and good. The bed is comfortable and the room clean enough - some long term stains there that could use replacing (couch). Main issue is that we paid on Expedia and then upon leaving they charged us again. We thought it was a deposit that we would get back later but no, it was a charge for the room. We didn't revel in the check in and now the check out is an issue. Most likely won't stay here again.

The property was easily accessible. Enjoyed the breakfast with other guests. We had to park at the building next door which wasn’t plowed & our car got stuck. Our room keys didn’t work. Hotel only owns one shovel. Our shower didn’t drain so we bailed the water out into the toilet for 30 minutes for the next shower. Then they charged us for two bottles of water for the road- but they had to figure out how to do it first.

While the building as a whole was nice, the outside seemed a bit dated. The lobby was constantly noisy when one may want some quiteness. The worst thing was the check in process. It took nearly 2 hours of sitting/standing in the lobby. we arrived before, maybe 10 minuets, check in time and we were told that the room wasn't ready and wouldn't be ready for about an hour. So we left to drive around town for a bit and when we came back, it was worse then before. It took about another 30-60 min before we finally got into our room. The lady at the desk said to come back to her in the morning but never said what for nor did she talk anymore about it? So what was she gonna do...refund our stay...doubtful.

We stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Huntsville most years before we head out on a canoe trip in Algonquin. It is clean and very convenient with restaurants and shopping nearby as we take care of any last minute needs. The staff are excellent.

The room was fine although you wonder how clean the carpeting is. We could only take the breakfast 2 of our 3 days. Healthy choices are lacking and it’s disturbing to see all the paper and plastic thrown in the garbage. No effort at recycling is made.
