This hotel has always been a great hotel, in a beautiful, historic area of the St. John's harbor, with a beautiful atrium that sets it apart from other hotels in the area. Unfortunately, we were anticipating a relaxing time in the pool and hot tub. The pool was cold and the hot tub was NOT hot and the jacuzzi jets were not functioning. On another note, I was fully expecting a wonderful gala for New Year's Eve celebrations (as in the past). Other than a buffet at the restaurant, there was nothing.

The property was clean, staff were pleasant and helpful but the entrance turnstile was closed off. The parking lot was confusing as construction was taking place the whole week I was there. It was difficult to know where to park; the paving staff are the ones that advised us of where not to park for the next morning as they were re-sealing the pavement. There were many barricades and the security gate was left open due to changes in their card system.

The staff at the front desk were lovely and accommodating. I was annoyed the room was 300$ a night, and i was then charged an additional $25!! For parking. During our stay we wanted to swim and hot tub. There was a wedding happening that evening and we had to walk through the wedding party, in our robes and swim suits, to get to the pool. It would have been nice if there were an area sectioned off for hotel guests to access the pool and hot tub without walking through the wedding. (I literally had to ask the bride to excuse me while i walked behind her in my wet bathing suit)

Had to ask for a parking pass. The rates to come and go from the hotel was outrageous. Then trying to sign in to the wifi was crazy tried to get 5$ from every device trying to sign in. The pool was down. The guy at check in was not that friendly . The guy that checked me out so much nicer. They also need new pillows they were lumpy. The cleanest rooms though.

Wonderful & friendly service at front desk. Flew to St John’s on a red eye and staff allowed early check in. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Great pool & workout facility. Restaurant & bar on site. Our stay could not have been better

Rooms were very basic, beds hard. No fan in bathroom, could hear everything in the hallways. All the money spent on this hotel went to the loby and greenery area, which was closed off for a wedding while we were there. The pool was very small and disappointing. The staff were very nice at all times, including the many interpretations needed from the broken parking gate. Location was good, view was a roof and a building- completely blocking whar could have been a stellar view of signal hill

There has to be more cleaning. That’s all I will say. I know they “disclose” that they don’t vacuum or change sheets unless notified. However, even when notified, anything cleaning was done minimally. Around the pool was constantly dirty. My first room they didn’t even clean, even when I requested the sheet change. My next room had a better cleaner but even she missed things from previous tenants. The front of the house staff was friendly but the back of the house staff was a mixed bag. Some employees couldn’t even bother saying hello or smiling in return. It is a great location and we went for the pool but we definitely washed ourselves after thoroughly. So I hope they up the cleaning. Otherwise, rooms were nice. Beds were comfortable. Thin walls though.

First, the room was not ready upon our arrival at 4:30pm despite check in being 3pm. It was ready by 5pm and we were given lounge access by front desk manager David to make up for the delay which was nice. Unfortunately the espresso maker in the lounge didnt work the whole time we were there, and there was never any decaf coffee either. David helped me out with that too,he was a real gem! The hotel justwas not up to the standard I expect of the Sheraton brand at all. Eg. The chair and carpet in the room were dirty, and stained. The pool floor was covered with dirt and hairs, and the lounge had a constant leak with a disgusting bucket to catch the filthy water that was dripping into it the whole 3 days we were there. While the room did get made up each day of our stay, there was always something missing...one day we didnt get any washclothes, one day no toilet paper, etc. Also the phone in the room didn’t work so I had to look up the hotel phone number on my cell phone to call the front desk for the missing items. The worst thing was I found what appeared to be blood stains, a few small patches, on one of the bed sheets. I removed that sheet and left it on the side table with the stains showing so the maid would not only change the sheets but clearly see that this one needed further attention/sanitizing. Upon returning to our room after our day's activities the stained sheet was still on the table exactly as I had left it, while the rest of the room had been made up.

I was there for five nights, during my stay nobody changes the bed sheets!!!! Also, for one of the days, I wanted to have the breakfast and they said it’s fully booked and after 25 mins waiting, I could have the breakfast at the hotel restaurant (I believe that the guests have to be their priority)

This Sheraton hotel has a fantastic location and breath-taking view of the harbour view. The staff is warm and very helpful. However, the room is not in a good condition - old carpet, terribly done plumbing work (both faucet facing backwards), very loud air conditioning. This hotel is not at the level the Sheraton-chained hotels should be. It needs a renovation badly.

The housekeeping was the worst we have ever experienced. We had to ask 5 times to have the room cleaned the first day and it never got done. The sheets were not changed for the entire 5 day stay. Toiletries were not replenished. Garbage from the room was left on the desk. The room was not cleaned at all. This stay was the first I have ever given a bad review. There are better options in St. John’s.

When my husband went in to get the key to our room the young girl working was so friendly and she had a wheelchair available for me and helped me until my husband came back in with our bags . I asked if they had a fan and within minutes she had a fan for the room for me. I’m not sure what her name is but she had long dark hair and glasses and from Another country and she is by far the friendliest we have came across. The hotel was so nice and roomy and the bed was the absolute best we had a great night sleep.

Great staff, they were all so polite, friendly and accomadating. The hotel was clean and spotless. We were very impressed with the overall appearance of rhe hotel ans the service provided by all the staff members. As a veteran I appreciated the assistance provided to me, my spouse and my service dog. Overall I was very impressed, I would definitely stay again and recommend the hotel to all my family and friends.

Check in was a nightmare, first they down graded my room without telling me but was changing me for the higher priced room. (King bed room). She stated they had none left, yet there was even some still showing. Then after 15-20mins she finally says ok we can do a king room. Then we proceeded to the second room, the key cards didn’t work! Twice. Then to top it off we had to go back down because she inputted my information wrong and I couldn’t connect to wifi. She was rude, never explained anything about the menu or QR code. Parking was limited, and lacked security. Best part of the stay was clean room, and the maintenance man was so polite. I ran into the maintenance man twice on our stay both times it was a pleasure. We have never been so disappointed in a Marriott stay before in our lives to date, till this one. Hospitality, and kindness goes a long way!

The hotel lobby is strikingly beautiful when you first enter. They have a two-space restaurant and a club lounge. I had access to the lounge which was extra luxurious with snacks, hot and cold drinks, breakfast and dinner appies. When the lounge was closed one day, I received a voucher for the restaurant's buffet. The doors locked in the evening so you needed your key to enter. It felt very safe. The hotel is located at the end of all the action and it was about a 25 minute walk to the other end of downtown, but easy to uber/taxi (5 mins). I would highly recommend the Sheraton and would stay here again!

Really great location you can walk left or right and get to something you want to see. They have a concierge too. No Uber but Taxies are readily available there are hills. Nice staff very clean. Bed is comfortable. We had a big round window that looked over the shipping port. Very interesting. A little pricey. Parking is not free. Two nice places for breakfast across the street that open early.

Great view of the harbour, quiet and clean rooms, close to downtown very good stay overall. Pre Paid for the breakfast was not impressed with it unfortunately, was a very typical continental breakfast but was a bit overpriced for what you get.

Vending machine would not accept bills and the card tip option was broken as well. Suggest providing a way to turn bills into coins.. A machine ir at the desk? Food at restaurant was beautifully presented but for the price- flavour was lacking. Staff was a amazing: friendly, helpful, well spoken.

The hotel is beautiful, nice set up for weddings. The only downfall was the restaurant closing at 8 pm and they never answered the room service number. We left a message as it said with our room number and they never did call us back. We had to order skip instead. The pool is also very cold. But the front desk staff were really nice and the porters.
