The only thing that I didn’t enjoy was the parking I had 3 rooms and no parking the second day there was space but wanted €18 I thought this was too much!!

Wir waren Ende Oktober 2022 zuletzt dort. Bisher wurden immer für einen Parkplatz am Hotel 15 EUR für den gesamten Aufenthalt, egal wie lange, berechnet. Jetzt (Ende März 2023) werden pro Tag 17,50 EUR fällig. Das ist einfach nur unverschämt. Ansonsten gutes Hotel zentral gelegen zur City und Frühstück auch ok. Personal nett. Vielleicht kommen wir wieder, aber parken werden wir dort sicherlich nicht mehr. Es gibt durchaus Parkmöglichkeiten in Alkmaar für 3 EUR am Tag (Nähe Einkaufszentrum).

Staff at check in were really friendly and helpful. The room was nice and bright, basic decoration but fine. An armchair where you could read would be a nice addition, there’s enough space for one. The room was surface level clean, but there are marks on the walls, hair on the taps and needed that next level of cleanliness. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and the room is pretty quiet. A noisy group came back at 03:30am which woke us up, and wouldn’t be expected in this kind of hotel, and obviously isn’t the hotels fault, but something to be aware of. Location is good, however the cost of parking is expensive at the hotel, and there are cheaper options nearby.

Der Frühstücksraum ist zu klein. Man bekommt Termine zum frühstücken angeboten. Sauberkeit und Service waren ziemlich gut. Sonntagmorgen war der Fahrstuhl defekt. Ok, kann passieren. Öffentliche Parkplätze und die paar hoteleigenen Parkplätze sind recht teuer. Zum Glück waren wir mit den Motorrädern da und konnten diese auf dem breiten Gehweg neben dem Hotel parken. Die Lage von dem Hotel ist recht nah an der Innenstadt. In 5 Minuten zu Fuß ist man da. Am Empfang lagen immer leckere Bonbons aus. Für eine Flasche Rotwein habe ich 30 Euro an der Bar bezahlt. Unser Zimmer war mit Balkon und mit Blick aufs Wasser und die City. Nicht alle Zimmer haben einen Balkon. Die Betten waren auch sehr gut. Keiner hat über Rückenschmerzen geklagt. Kommt bei 10 Personen die wir waren auch nicht oft vor. Würde das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

Sehr central zum guten Preis. Zimmer 317 war sehr ruhig gelegen. Frühstück gut und es gab ausreichend Plätze, da auch der angrenzende Barbereich eingedeckt wurde. Hotel müsste in einigen Bereichen modernisiert werden, hat uns aber nicht gestört, z.b. Duschen in der Badewanne und altes Waschbecken ohne Verschluss. Parkplatz ist zu teuer, P+R Bergermeer genutzt, Parken hier umsonst, 20 Minuten Fußweg. Vom Hotel ist alles zu Fuß erreichbar, sehr gelungener Kurzurlaub. Ist zu empfehlen

Einen Morgens passierte es, dass die Servicekraft ins Zimmer kam trotz „nicht stören Schild“. Das sollte eigentlich nicht passieren. Ansonsten ist das Zimmer groß genug, sauber, es gibt kostenlos Tee und Kaffee. TV eingeschränkt.

Het hotel is prima en fijne locatie. Heerlijk buitenzitje. Schoonmaak kan beter vooral onder het bed stofzuigen en in de badkamer is de wasbak flink beschadigd

Vi boede 4 nætter på dette hyggelige hotel med et meget venligt og imødekommende personale. Værelserne blev dagligt rengjort helt tilfredsstillende og sengene var gode. Hotellets placering var ideel for os - tæt på den hyggelige bykerne og tæt ved banegården (vi tog toget til Amsterdam). Vi kommer gerne igen.

Hotel personel great and position of hotel is cantastix for city center. I took the suite 411 the room was clean. But the room was hot wall airco where not working and smaller airco present in the room was not enough. Also what seems to be in the appearance a bubble bath it was not. In the hall way the carpet seemed very old. I think it needs some renovation. In the bedroom needed to sleep with window open

Utmärkt hotell både nära Alkmaar stadskärna och tågstation om man vill ta tåget in till Amsterdam. Stora bekväma rum med stor komfort. Enda som kanske inte var 5/5 var att det kunde bli lite trångt vid frukosten och att internet kunde vara lite halvslött ibland. Hotellets egna parkering var ofta full, men det fanns nästan alltid parkering tillgänglig längs gatan utanför. Riktigt tyst och lugnt.

Great location for non-car travelers - easy walk to station and town centre. Breakfast good but expensive and did run out of items as staff could not keep up with volume. Double bed very odd as it was two singles pushed together - the matresses kept moving apart in the night creating a Grand Canyon in the middle.

Ons verblijf in het Amrath-hotel was in een DeLuxe-kamer, maar ik heb letterlijk tijdens het verblijf nagekeken of dat inderdaad het geval was. Nógal 'basic', geen airconditioning, raam dus open 's nachts aan de straatzijde met veel verkeersgeluid, ieder uur het carillion van de kerk (de romantiek..) en vrij matige bedden. De minibar is leeg en de kledingkast staat in het 'gangetje' tussen de deur en de badkamer, waardoor je er nauwelijks langs kunt. Al met al: DeLuxe is nogal een overkwalificatie, de locatie van het hotel is erg goed, service wat neutraal.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und ist ein guter Startpunkt zum Meer und den umliegenden Städten (Met de fiets). Abends oder bei schlechterem Wetter kann man die schöne Stadt Alkmaar erkunden. Das Hotel ist zu ausgewählten Zeiten relativ günstig. Die Zimmereinrichtung ist einfach / „angemessen“ aber leider etwas überaltert. Die Sauberkeit ist zufriedenstellend. Wir hatten leider zwei Einzelbetten, die ständig auseinander rückten. Die Matratzen empfand ich als extrem weich. Decken und Kopfkissen … na ja. Safe und kleiner Kühlschrank vorhanden. Das Personal war freundlich. Beim Frühstück mussten wir Zeiten „buchen“. Aber war, wenn man sich an diese hielt, kein Problem. Das Frühstück selbst war befriedigend. Zutaten wurden tlw. erst nach Anfrage ergänzt. Das Rührei aus der Flasche war (nach meinem Geschmack) widerlich. Fazit Als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge ein empfehlenswertes Hotel. Man sollte jedoch noch zu hohe Ansprüche stellen.

Excellent location - just a short and pleasant walk (5 minutes) over the canal and you are in old town Alkmaar. Very close to the church in the centre of Alkmaar. Excellent daily breakfast with good coffee and a variety of food options to start your day. Excellent basic rooms that have all you need, and are clean. Breakfast staff were somewhat rude one day (apparently there is a discrepancy between the breakfast hours online and the actual breakfast hours) but other staff were warm and friendly. Saffa, the night-time front desk clerk, was extremely helpful on two occasions. Upon checking in later on our first night, we discovered we’d been given the wrong room. The hotel was fully booked, so no changes could be made. As a result, one of us had to sleep on the floor in a makeshift bed created out of comforters and sheets. The next morning, as compensation for this error, we were offered a free bike rental for the day, which we did not think was adequate. Overall, we would recommend Amrath Hotel in Alkmaar as there are not many places to stay, and this one is functional with a great location.

My wife and I stayed here for 9 nights. They charged us for breakfast twice when we did not eat breakfast a single time there. No apologies for the over charge, still waiting for the refund. We didn’t get a thank you for staying with us, they didn’t ask how our stay was. It was very transactional with them. Not to mention how uncomfortable the beds and pillows were. I saw a sign stating we could ask for a different type of pillow which we did, only to receive the same pillow that looked to belong on a couch rather than a bed. Would not recommend this hotel.

Staff at check in were really friendly and helpful. The room was nice and bright, basic decoration but fine. An armchair where you could read would be a nice addition, there’s enough space for one. The room was surface level clean, but there are marks on the walls, hair on the taps and needed that next level of cleanliness. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and the room is pretty quiet. A noisy group came back at 03:30am which woke us up, and wouldn’t be expected in this kind of hotel, and obviously isn’t the hotels fault, but something to be aware of. Location is good, however the cost of parking is expensive at the hotel, and there are cheaper options nearby.

The staff is exceptional!!! They worked extremely hard too accommodate my schedule. They wear constantly updating me on availability too book more days!i couldn't have asked for a better staff and cleaning ladies. The hotel was spotless! My only complaint was my room was next too the cleaning supply closet so I could hear everything . i was more than thrilled with my stay at AMRATH and would stay there again as well as recommend it too family and friends!

Hervorragend ausgestattetes Zimmer mit zwei komfortablen Betten. Lage zur Besichtigung der Stadt ausgezeichnet. Auch Gehdistanz zum Bahnhof. Das benachbarte Gymnasium war zu unserer Zeit geschlossen. In den von der Strasse abgewandten Zimmern ruhig gewesen. .

Great location for non-car travelers - easy walk to station and town centre. Breakfast good but expensive and did run out of items as staff could not keep up with volume. Double bed very odd as it was two singles pushed together - the matresses kept moving apart in the night creating a Grand Canyon in the middle.

We paid the €21 for a breakfast twice. Get there early for the best choice. Some hot food. The hotel is a 10minute walk to the town centre. It’s a nice little town. We were there to meet up with a relative but did some tourist stuff. The 45 min boat cruise for €6.5 each was well worth it and comes right past the hotel. We managed to get a parking space on site. Icecream shops in town lovely.
