So the place is under construction so there was that. The pool was out the three days we stayed which was one of the reasons we picked this hotel. The bathroom exhaust fan was louder than I have ever heard one before and the waffle maker was broken the whole time. Room clean and nice will look at other hotels when we come back which will be often my wife now see the doctor in Birmingham.

Renovation was going on The staff we’re amazing For $300 a night the standard & quality was low Daniel at the front desk was terrific and the young lady that checked us in too I forgot her name The Restaurant was amazing Ashley our server was Superb Overall our experience with the staff was fantastic The Hotel and the rooms are outdated and need lots of TLC. We would like to free stay on a better room

I always have a peaceful deep sleep at the Embassy. The mattress is magical. The front desk staff and bartender were extremely friendly and professional. You cannot beat the breakfast; no other hotel compares to their breakfast. They now charge for self-parking but it is only $5 a night.

We were disappointed that the pool was closed. We understand that is not any control of the staff. The hotel definitely needs to be updated. We were in a handicapped room. I didn’t pick a handicap room but it was fine. The issue was it smelled musty, the bathroom flooded into the main room when you took a shower. When we went to get breakfast we were early. Instead of the employee saying anything apologetic a put our misunderstanding of the time she was very rude. She stated “Coffee Only!” She was very rude and even argued with another couple that didn’t realize the breakfast times were different on the weekends. Lots of roof leaks during rain. In our room the carpet was pulled from the edging. One TV didn’t work, the front sink wouldn’t turn off completely for several minutes. The shower curtain and window curtains are not wide enough to fit.

Hotel is old and in dire need of updating. Dirty stained furniture…peeling paint…old carpet. $5 charge for parking…don’t understand that since I parked myself and there was no other option to park but in the hotel lot. Staff was friendly. Breakfast food was good. Cocktail time was basically low-end liquor, wine & beer but it was free. Will not stay here again due to old condition of rooms. Also the indoor pool leaves the whole hotel smelling musty and of chlorine.

We were okay with the property itself and the atmosphere. Very open centralized lobby with beautiful live fish and waterfall. Noticed the handicap sign was run into, pushed over (bent) and not fixed. We arrived during rain, and the roundabout door was not functional. Side doors to main entrance were not CLEARLY visible. Once inside, it was clear that renovations were underway for the main desk. The 2 desk attendants were very consumed with 1 guest and a lot of communication via a walkie talkie. Once we were addressed the male subject was very friendly and informative. Our room upon entry, appeared spacious and inviting. Extra bedding was already provided for the sofa bed. The bathroom was well lit but, it also was the most disgusting finds. From a shower which hadn't been cleaned, visible body hair, markings from previous guests bath bottles, an EMPTY shower gel and hair conditioner dispensary, very loose shower faucet (not connected to the tile at all) and a used tissue bunched up under the sink vanity. The room's temperature was an icy frigid temp until we completely turned the unit off. There was no adjusting permitted except when we informed the manager and he said maintenance could enter our rom and turn the heat on in our room for the duration of our stay.The rooms on either side of us were incredibly loud and you could clearly hear every door open/shut, every word spoken or yelled and it was quickly addressed by a security guard for the hotel. Bedding had body odor.

Liked open multistory interior design, large free breakfast and nice eating area on main floor, glassed elevators, nice Ruth Chris eating area and bar inside hotel, room suite design, and close parking at hotel entrance. Also liked when we had room issues twice, the willingness of staff at entrance desk to give us a another room. Disliked room condition - not vacuumed, poop-like substance on shower ceiling, dresser hanging doors removed, phones didn’t work, chairs stacked up just outside our room door when we arrived and for a few hours afterward, and no spare toilet paper. Also disliked returning to room around 5:30 pm and finding night latch blocking door closure, allowing anyone to enter room for what could have been most of the day. Didn’t find anything missing, room smelled, checked bed - didn’t see any signs of anyone else being in our bed, but wife felt uncomfortable in room having room left open.

Property is out dated and nasty. Dead bugs were in the lights in the room, gnats were throughout the room, and loose hair on towels and sheets. Bed was extremely soft and worn. I even had to ask the front desk for replacement bedding which also was not the best looking replacement set. I was very disappointed in my stay.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful! The property is run down and not well maintained. The carpets are badly torn and stained. Closet doors missing. Hair in the bathroom. One of the elevators smelled like urine.

The worst Embassy Suites I ever visited.Dirty carpet with gum, dirty elevator glass. The door to my room was white plastered. The place needs a overhaul. Staff was slow to respond,and manue stains on the pull out bead. So TERRIBLE, IT SHOULD BE CLEAN FOR THE MONEY YOU PAID.

I stayed four days and three nights the room was not cleaned. Even one time had to ask for clean towels. The room smelled like cigarettes. The carpets are piled and dirty. Overall, I’ve stayed in a lot of embassy suites and this one is rundown and the service are terrible.

Everything in the room was broken. The toilet continuously ran throughout the night. There was pot smell throughout the hall way. The pillows were dirty so I’m sure the sheets were. Breakfast was awful burnt grits and it took an hour for an omelet.

Room was not vacuumed, shower curtain was terrible, and refrigerator was frozen solid. Everything was corrected immediately. Really can’t understand why a cleaning person or room manager overlooks these things. This property should be a lot nicer for the amount they are charging per night.

Overall the room was fine to sleep in for a couple of nights. The tv wouldn’t turn on, the shower wouldn’t drain, the shower curtain was ripped in the curtain and there were two bulbs out. Maintenance replaced one of the bulbs during the stay.

Room is spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. But the room beyond this was dreary and dilapidated. Doors to closet had broken off and not been replaced. Lighting was limited and the place felt like a cave. Decor and bathroom were woefully outdated. Air conditioning didn’t work on the first night but was fixed the second day after I advised the front desk. The first day only one of three elevators was working for an eight story hotel. One was fixed the second day but still should have had all three working. I was solo and the location was very convenient for my travel’s during my visit so I was fine but I would never take my wife or family here which is sad because we as a family used to stay here for several Christmases in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Sad how they have let the hotel deteriorate.

I liked the complimentary breakfast. The room wasa bit dated for the price. I wish it was more modern. I aso wish the rooms had queen beds instead of double beds. There was definitely enough space for 2 queen beds. The sofa bed was not very comfortable. I liked the living room area with sink and 2 refrigerators. There was 6 of us and our puppy and it served it purposes.

First room air didnt work, no hotel phone. Cleanliness was sub par found some fake lashes on the sink from the last guest..2nd room we got moved to the balcony door wouldnt open.. The only reason we stayed here was because they had balconies if you know you know. Maintenance isnt here late so the only options are to move you from messed up room to messed up room. I wouldnt stay here again. The only nice thing about the rooms were the size of them.

Front desk was horrible, rude, and lazy. Calling front desk was a waste of time. Line stayed busy I went downstairs to front desk and she was on the phone. I had been calling for an hour. Asked about food that was to be delivered she was annoyed and said no didn’t check or nothing. Checking in I had to asked the the man to stop being rude. First ever I’ve stayed in a hotel and felt no hospitality, absolutely none. Never greater with smile.

I made my reservation on Expedia and when I arrived they said they didn’t have a room. I arrived 4 hours after check in. The reason we booked here is because the room could fit my family of six without having to get two rooms. I was offered two rooms but we were all separated. No main office they had a makeshift check-in in the lobby.

The laid with the long eye lashes, piercing in her noes and super long fingernails was very professional and checked me in quickly. She also apologize for the construction that was taking place offered me passes for free drinks and a ticket for omelette bar. Overall she was great

The manager was absolutely amazing and sweet as she could be when our first room had only 1 working light. She was quick to upgrade us to a better suite and the entirety of the staff were very friendly and helpful and just all around 5⭐️. Thank you for a very memorable anniversary weekend.

Had a horrible experience checking in due to the third party not the hotel the third party forgot to send the funds to the hotel and it took me over three hours just to check in it mess up my whole event everything just end up being a total disaster I am very disappointed wouldn’t recommend ever again

If I could give 0 stars I would. Upon arrival I was charged a large security deposit, this is not mentioned anywhere except a sign on the front desk. When I went to check out the girl at the front desk asked my room number and said “you are good to go!” What she failed to mention is that she charged my card an additional couple hundred dollars (without my consent) for a “room upgrade” — that i did not get or ask for. after going back and forth with the hotel for 3 days about this matter they told me to call Expedia because it was Expedia’s problem (even though it was the hotel who charged the extra money to my card) when the agent from Expedia called the hotel staff just began hanging up the phone on them. After this experience I will never be back and I do not recommend it to anyone else either. If I could get a refund for the whole stay I would, because 4 days after I have checked out I still do not have a refund for the charges that were charged without my authorization or knowledge.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean room. The property itself was a bit hard to find and far enough away from things that it wasn’t conducive to walking anywhere. The parking area was limited and always full, so we usually had to park in back, where it was isolated and not well lit, making safety outside the hotel a bit of a concern. Overall, I would recommend this property. The amenities alone make it worth the stay. Just be aware you have to have transportation to areas of interest.

Very centrally located for business downtown. Service was great. Dining at the in house Ruth's Chris was more than you could ask for. Great food and drinks, was also able to watch the NFL games in the lounge.

Disappointing!! When booked I was told with prime rooms you get drinks and snacks but nothing was in our room. Also, I have never known any Embassy using paper products for breakfast. Usually the breakfast is fantastic but no bacon and food was cold. Very disappointing for an Embassy.

love Embassy Suites. Only problem on this trip, hopefully not all locations recently, but they use flimsy styrofoam plates and cheap plastic utensils. minor inconvenience obviously, but not my favorite. Room was awesome. Free drinks during happy hour and the breakfast is always solid. Staff was super nice and friendly. would definitely stay there again but didn't love the plates and utensils

We arrived on Friday and we checked out Monday and there were multiple excuses why the pool was not open. It was only open on Saturday from 12 to 10. On Sunday at 8PM. We tried to order room service, which was not available - which was advertised as an option. We had changed our prior reservations to this place for the indoor pool so our grandchildren could enjoy it. The vent in the bathroom could not be used because it made such a horrible noise. The refrigerator was the smallest size there is made, and it made a horrible noise. We made arrangements for four, but we were only allowed accommodations for three such as towels and wash claws. There were no sheets, blankets or pillows for the sofa bed - so we will not be returning to this location on our next trip to Birmingham

The room was clean and cozy. The breakfast was amazing. Enjoyed walking around the atrium looking at the fish. The gentleman at the front desk when we first arrived, was not very friendly or helpful. The rest of the staff was amazing.
