It was okay. The room was small, I hate the 1st floor but apparently I couldn’t move, and it was right next to the stairs so I heard people walking all night long. I also thought there was a pool because it showed one on the website but no pool. I made the best of it but definitely could have been better and I’m sure they cld have moved my room.

All staff were professional and friendly. Very clean comfortable room. Breakfast was ok. I booked about 7 months in advance so I was a little disappointed to find out the indoor pool was no longer there.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites was a decent bargain hotel for a quick stopover. The hotel is located directly off of a main road, and traffic could be heard through the windows throughout the night. Air conditioning is through a unit beneath the window which tends to be a bit noisy as it cuts off and on throughout the night. Walking down the 2nd floor hallway you could hear the floorboards creak, and the ceilings in room 215 creaked when the guest above moved around the room. If you are a light sleeper, this might be an issue, but we were able to sleep soundly despite the noises. Amenities were okay - breakfast was normal fare including pre-made hot options. All the basic essentials were provided, and there was plenty to eat. We stayed over the 4th of July weekend, and the hotel was ready to accommodate the holiday guests. We opted to use the stairs so as not to have to wait for the elevator; we noticed several dozen mosquitos in the stair wells as well as spider webs. Fortunately the rooms appeared devoid of insects. Overall, not a bad experience for a bargain hotel where we really just needed a safe comfortable place to sleep on our way to the beach.

The only complaint we had was the shower. It went from hot to hotter and it was weak. Tried adjusting the options on the shower head and the head started coming off. Suggest eating breakfast out. Other than that it was a nice room and we were as comfortable as you can expect in a hotel.

Very nice hotel! Clean and comfortable and the young lady at the front desk was EXCELLENT! My only issue was the noise. I DO NOT like the first floor. Too noisy, window right in the parking lot and the loud sound of traffic was annoying. It felt like other people were right in the room with us.

i liked the flexibility of check in and check out was noon so that was good. they should invest in pillowtop mattresses. my mattress was very hard, the breakfast was nothing special very blan reheated packaged foods loved the friendliness and cleanleness except the back area should be swept occasionally.

This was our first stay on a longer road-trip. We arrived for check in around 8 pm and were met by a friendly and attentive front desk attendant (August 14, 2025 - sorry didn't get her name!). Easy check-in process. We had to ask for another pillow and set of sheets for the pull-out couch, and the attendant made sure it was in our room for when we got back from picking up some take-out. The attendant even left us some extra towels! The pullout couch was a narrow single bed and was a bit short for our needs, but it worked for our one-night stay. The bathroom was clean and stocked with all necessities. The room was large and easily accommodated 3 adults. The air conditioner worked amazing, which was appreciated after the excruciating heat and humidity that day. The eggs at the breakfast were not good - they seemed overcooked and dried out. However, there were lots of other options, including bread, bagels, muffins, packaged allergy friendly egg options, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, jams/jellies, and peanut butter. Lots of take-away options too, for those who don't have time to sit down and eat. Overall I would recommend this hotel and if I were in the Dover area, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriot Dover in Dover DE is EXCELLENT! Spotlessly clean and fresh in every space with a delicious breakfast and safe parking right outside the front door in a lot. I was upgraded to a King Suite upon arrival without even asking. The front desk clerk actually even printed out a document I needed for my morning meeting when I was having trouble signing in on their computer. I will definitely stay there again! It's also convenient to lots of shopping and restaurants, as well as the casino and the air force base.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and very accommodating. The walk in shower with shampoo and body wash was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was plentiful, fresh with something for everyone. Will return on our next trip north.
