The guy who was "hosting" the breakfast on 12/18 was out of this world. Amazing service and he should get kudos. The front desk lady at check-in kept telling me my card was declined as I rifled through card after card only to say it was a "system thing" and fix it once she realized whatever it was after thorough embarrassment. The hotel was fine. Clean. Tucked away in a dark area behind the Ramada. We went mainly for the pool and it was freezing cold. The attendant told us it was the last night for the pool (not sure what this means as it seems like to close for the season and it is indoors) but it was pretty much unusable. We sat around and ate Thai Village of Liverpool which was great.

When we arrived, my kids were very disappointed that the pool was not working. We chose the hotel for the pool (we were in town for a basketball free throw shooting contest but would have lots of time to spend at the pool over the weekend). My girls were devastated on Friday evening. By Sunday morning, they told me to "give this hotel 5 stars" about ten times. Everyone we met was so nice. Like, they were the kindest people at breakfast that we've ever met at a hotel. (And this was our third weekend in a row staying in different hotels). Gabe made my kids feel special. Everyone made sure my nonverbal son with special needs was ok and has everything he needed. It was a great hotel because of the people and I hope we can stay there again!

None of the washer and dryers worked properly. They left my clothes in a pile of water and just stopped working. Everything was dirty, looked dirty, smelled dirty, crumbs in the microwave. The staff is lazy and does not clean. I asked them to at least come take away the trash, she seemed annoyed by this request. I guess I was supposed to let it pile up for an entire week while I was there. Oh and last but not least my 8 year old son and I could have gotten high off the weed smell in the hallway, and it was there all day everyday for the entire week!

We were so impressed to hear that the hotel offered dinner and breakfast. We had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and each day they offer a different breakfast menu. The staff were lovely but the first room we stayed in was not vacuumed and the room we were transferred to had uncleaned stains on the couch (which we cleaned ourselves), on the carpet, as well as crusted on particles in the bathroom and kitchen, which we cleaned ourselves. The place was a little run down but that would have been workable if not for the terrible clean issues.

Spotless. We loved our room. Big, plush bedding and a sectional couch. That’s a big plus. Well appointed stocked kitchen. Even had a 2 burner stove. Full breakfast-scrambled eggs, toppings, sausage.good coffee, juice, fresh fruit. The breakfast attendant made sure we were pleased. She even took our dirty plates. She worked hard to keep the area clean and stocked. She deserves a pay raise.

The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful & patient during a chaotic graduation weekend. The location is convenient to Syracuse University. The hotel itself was dirty, with stained carpets and visible dirt, etc. on floors everywhere. Room was moderately clean, but I wouldn't sit on the furniture!

The hotel is very convenient to the interstate. It was easy to find and to park. The front desk clerk was very friendly and efficient. I asked for an extra blanket and she brought it up to the room very quickly. The room is comfortable and roomy for all five of us. My wife and I stayed here Saturday through Monday (memorial day weekend). When checking in, the guy at the front desk was very pleasant and welcoming. The room was huge and clean. Plenty of room to spread out and not be cramped. Breakfast on Sunday morning was good, and the lady that was running that area was constantly on the go and still found time to check on everyone. Breakfast on Sunday had eggs, sausage, French toast, fresh fruit to make your own parfait. And then there was your typical waffle maker, cereal, oatmeal bagel/toast and fruit. The coffee was good and fresh. Breakfast on Monday had ham instead of sausage and hash browns instead of French toast. Overall a good breakfast. The only complaints I had was regarding the tub and the bed. The tub was very very slippery and I nearly fell a few times. The bed... Easily, The worst part of the room. The bed was so squeaky/creaky and the most uncomfortable bed I've ever had tried to sleep on. Kinda firm (which I prefer) but felt like sleeping on a rock if that makes sense . For someone that has a bad back, that bed was not for me and I ended up staying on the couch, which was decent. The hotel is pet friendly. They say 100% smoke free but someone either next to us or below us was smoking weed. The hotel was very easy to get to and close to a Speedway, fast food and a grocery store. I'd maybe consider staying again, as long as I can be assured the bed would be different.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Serious Safety and Management Issues I stay in hotels frequently, especially the ones that have that "home away from away from home" vibe and have never had a negative experience until I encountered Staybridge Suites Syracuse/ Liverpool. The most alarming incident occurred when another guest scanned their key and walked directly into my hotel room. The woman was just as shocked to see me as I was to see her. Shortly after, the front desk called to explain that when I checked in, they failed to officially assign me to the room I was given, resulting in two guests being checked into the same room. Instead of relocating me or properly resolving the situation, they simply added my name to the room and reissued keys, after the safety breach had already occurred. This was completely unacceptable. The issues didn’t stop there. Wi-Fi Problems: The Wi-Fi barely worked during my stay. Initially, I couldn’t even log in because the system required a last name and room number, which makes sense, considering I was never properly added to the room in the first place. 🙄 After going to the front desk, I was informed there was also an access code required, which I was never provided at check-in. Once added, the Wi-Fi worked sporadically at best. Checkout & Billing Issues: Given the experience, I made sure to check out at the front desk personally. I was told my receipt would be emailed to me, it never arrived. I

Poor customer care. No one was ever at the front desk. The rooms were poorly taken care of. My son scratched his leg with some sort of metal that was under the bed. Paint was chipping off the bathroom vanity. Everything was old here. The refrigerator was like from the 80’s a conference room chair was there to use at the desk in room. There was no ice, no breakfast, restaurant on site was never open. Not a clean hotel at all. I would not recommend. I would not stay at this place again.

Staff customer service was not good. Elevator had spilled coffee/dirty floor w/ sign over it for over 24 hours. We called for xtra pillows and had to call back 4 hours later to ask again because they didn’t come. But the worst part happened when checking in. Front desk took my credit card, we paid in full $936. When they asked if we wanted a card on file for incidental charges.. another member in our party said to use theirs. So after the suite was paid for in full with my card, another credit card was swiped/put on file (she was told the hold for incidentals gets released in a few days). After check out on Sunday, we noticed the error with both cards showing the total room charges as pending for $936 On Monday, we called to say we think there was an error. Manager was very rude, condescending stated we should understand there’s a difference w/ hold versus charges. I explained the room was in my name.. my Mastercard was swiped first and I signed authorization for $936. Visa only added on for incidentals ( she didn’t sign/authorize the $936 charged). He assured us he’d fix the error, but again rude. No apology offered. Took 4 days for the holds to be released only to find they never fixed the error.. Visa card used for FULL room charges. We ended up using Venmo to pay back our guest rather than allow her to dispute the charges w/ her credit card company.

Mary, who works helping with breakfast during the weekends, was an absolute JOY!! Looked forward to seeing her in the morning. The room was very nicely laid out. The hotel location was weird though. It is behind the closed Sheraton hotel. Just strikes you as very odd.
