We had the most incredible stay here! Room and entire hotel is full of character and was thoughtfully decorated! If you love art, you'll adore this place. We also dined at the Avery restaurant and it was absolutely impeccable and delicious! For dessert we went to the Tiner's Bar attached to the hotel and again so wonderful. Stellar service, food and drinks! We will be back!

They no longer have Valet parking which makes this Hotel very inconvenient to stay in. Location is downtown and guests must find their own parking. Big miss by the Avery.

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Avery. The property is a historic building, beautifully restored with clean, comfortable rooms. The restaurant and bar were great amenities as well. The downtown location has excellent walkability to nearby shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful historic hotel but unless you use the valet parking you will find yourself dragging luggage through the back, the bar, by the kitchen to get to the elevator. Very strange and a bit awkward. Nice room and great shower.

Not worth the price. This hotel was more expensive than the Grove and Hotel 500 with WAY less amenities. First of all, they no longer have valet parking no onsite parking. So you have to park in one of the public garages downtown several blocks away. No complementary breakfast (was $75 for two of us) and the room is tiny. No view as it is blocked in by other buildings. There is also no hotel lobby, just the bar area. Definitely stay at another hotel that has free onsite parking, free breakfast and a better view. Won't be staying here again.

Excellent hotel, beautiful down to every detail, including artwork on the walls. Location was excellent, walkable to plenty of restaurants and the venue we were in town for, safe and clean. We chose to valet park the car for an additional fee so we didn’t have to try and find street parking. Would return again.

Booked a 4 night stay on a business trip. I travel about 4x a month. The check in (front desk) experience is unbelievably poor. They don’t have a computer and use a binder with paper to try to stay organized. In my opinion, the hotel has mold. Had to leave after the 2nd night (although I pre paid for 4 nights) because the mildew smell in my room was so bad and it was affecting my health. The back and forth with the front desk team was ridiculous. The design and decor is cute. They don’t have fans in the bathroom which is probably why they have a mold issue. I felt claustrophobic in the room as the windows open up to a brick wall. There are so many other places to stay in Boise, just skip the Avery.

Beautiful hotel in a prime downtown location. The restaurant/bar in the hotel was excellent. My room was perfect, bedding & linens were high quality and the bathroom was perfect including the high water pressure and giant shower head. Every detail was considered for guest comfort!

This would have been a perfect score with the exception that I did not have my room cleaned at all during my stay. There was no refresh on the water or coffee and this was in sprite of me requesting both days to have service. Otherwise, the hotel is quaint, the restaurant is amazing and the staff at the front desk and in the restaurant really went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of.

The basic room was so small we had to climb on the bed to pass each other. The luggage trolley wouldn’t fit in the room so we had to unload and load it in the hallway. Very uncomfortable room. The bright spot, and the reason I gave it a 3 rating, is the staff! Everyone is friendly from the valet to the front desk to the bartenders. Friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the brassiere was forgettable. Poor coffee, tasteless food, and poorly prepared.

Clean, Good Staff.. Room 404 no view a window overlooking exhaust shaft. Included Breakfast was to run until 9am but 99% gone when one of us arrived at 8:10 only 2 tater tots 1strip of bacon, a few scoops of eggs and dry toast. When second person arrived at 8:20 am only a scoop of eggs and toast available. I was told they that had a big crowd… all guests told breakfast is included, and should be provided, no excuses

Had a room on the second floor. The room was fairly small, but I was a solo traveler so that was OK. Honestly, the noise from the bar and the restaurant down below was the worst part. It got to the point where I could not stand the base from the songs anymore and it sounded like they were playing the same song over and over on a loop Anyway when I left, nobody even asked me how my stay was so that just made me angrier the hotels nice I think it would be really fun for a romantic weekend. The rooms were clean. Bathroom was spotless but yeah, just weird feelings amongst the people who work there just didn’t feel cohesive .

Beautiful hotel. Staff was fantastic. As were the late-night bartenders! The not-so-good: the food at the Brassiere was expensive and average to poor. Poorly prepared and fairly tasteless. We got their ‘basic’ room. What a mistake. It was so small we couldn’t get the luggage trolley inside. We had to load and unload in the hallway. There was no closet so they put in a huge armoire. It took up so much space we couldn’t pass each other without one of us climbing on the bed. Super expensive hotel for what you receive.

We like staying in hotel that have character. This one fits that bill. It was charming. The pictures of the type of room however was somewhat deceiving. Our room was very compact. There wasn’t a lot of room to walk around. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. The coffee maker used Lilly coffee which was good to wake up to in the morning. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay her again. It was within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and shopping.

My first room had some issues with the tv, outlets, and room temperature. I made the staff aware, they were very accommodating, polite and offered me a room upgrade at no extra cost. I accepted the upgrade reluctantly, as not to be a bother, and it was wonderful. They checked in to make sure the upgrade accommodations were satisfactory, as the staff wished me to be comfortable and happy with my stay. I do not recall the gentleman’s name that worked with me, but he was very professional, kind, made me feel welcome and valued as a customer. I would happily stay there again and have recommend it to others. Thank you for the hospitality. Excellent place to stay, loved the bar vibe, and look forward to visiting again soon.
