Stayed 2 nights

This is long, and I don't usually complain, but there are positives at the end. My W and I stayed 2 nights for the DC Pen show (don't judge). What struck us the most was the overwhelming LACK of common items & amenities found in every other hotel. This was a SUITE with empty cabinets. No pots -pans -forks -bowls -mugs -coffee maker (WHAT!?!?) Yes, no coffee maker. Even seedy hotels have electric kettles & puck coffee with foam cups. No room safe & no hangers in the closet. None. Who travels with hangers? Other reviewers said a lot of what we experienced, The MGMT responded with "Items can be requested so we can provide them clean and ready to use." Wrong answer, MGMT. Items should be in the suite & staff should be trained to make sure items are ready. Now for complaints: Between AC cycles, the unit sounded like a powerwasher on a car right outside our window. All. Night. Long. The mattress was on a wire frame & sounded like a seal on a wet inner tube whenever we moved. The cover came off like other reviews. The 3 thin pillows for 2 people were inadequate. My kitchen sponge is thicker. Bathroom door couldn't open past halfway before sticking to the floor. Stained towels & uncomfortable chairs. Overall like a hotel running down & not replacing items just to save a dollar. Checking in, I had to ask for a second key for my W. Positives: best TV remote I've ever used in a hotel! Responsive, intuitive, & worked every time! Full size fridge was cold. That's it.

Stayed 1 night

The price was great for this area. But this was at the cost of stripping out most creature comforts. Lobby is functional with no welcoming features. Rooms include a kitchenette but no plates, bowls, cups, or utensils. No coffee or tea in the room. Bathroom felt equally spartan. This hotel felt like it was on its way downhill. I don’t know if this reflects the Extended Stay chain or is a one-off occurrence, but would not recommend if you want warmth or comfort.
