Clean and tidy place situated on the High Street with a few parking slots. Had to park on the road outside on second night and be up for 8:00 am to move the car due to parking restrictions. Had one issue while staying; the shower tray in the room filled quicker than it could drain and started to spill onto floor after less than 2 minutes. I reported the issue but was told it’s an issue in all rooms due to the old plumbing! Staff very friendly and welcoming

The hotel has gone down much since we stayed there last. The breakfast was good and the staff were excellent but apart from that its now a shoddy pub with no signs of management .I hope it improves.

We had to change rooms to a smaller cheaper room as the one we were given had a shower which wouldn’t turn off and was leaking. Whilst it was good they could move us we were not offered any kind of recompense for us having to move to a smaller cheaper room, after we had paid extra for the one we booked! Even a free drink or breakfast would have been accepted but nothing …. Which was a shame!

Excellent value for money with large rooms at a realistic price. Staff were pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. Evening meals were typical of a pub meal and breakfast were very good. The bar was amenable with the chance to sit out in the evening sunshine. Beer was a reasonable ok rice and good quality. Good parking to rear and although not secure, the area is quiet and feels safe. There were 15 motorbikes in the car park without incidents of any tampering overnight. The only negative is some plumbing issues relating to showers with it being a very old heritage building but staff are helpful to resolve any concerns. I would stay there again as it is excellent value for tourists want to lay their head.
