Coppid Beech

The room is great but the facilities such as the pool jacuzzi area is in need of refurbishment.prices of drinks are a bit on the hiked side so may be an idea to carry a bottle for your room and water . Staff supwr friendly. No jacuzzi as advertised

Pool closed for the day. The sports bar also closed for a private function. I choose the hotel to take my kids swimming while there and to use the sports bar for dinner and to watch my team play football that evening.

The Hotel looks amazing inside and out. The Fish Tanks are a super centre piece throughout the floors and my daughter loved the Piranha tank. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, i wanted to take the bed home. The Bathroom again great, the shower just the right power. The free toiletries and in room tea/biscuits as expected. The staff super friendly and helpful. The Pool could have been bigger as it was quiet busy when we arrived but still adequate for our pleasure. Breakfast was very nice and a great buffet style range of choices from cereals to a full english breakfast yum yum Parking in abundance. Only gripe is the onsite Nightclub which closed at 2.30am directly below our room which was noisey and hotel guests running around the hall ways playing silly buggers after kickout time! Would however, most definitely stay again but maybe request a room away from the night club or a higer floor (we were on the 2nd floor)

The hotel itself was fantastic, the bars and restaurants were very good and the staff were very polite and helpful. I was disappointed by the pool and gym areas as I was unaware that these areas were also member accessible from outside the hotel. As a result the gyms was very busy, there were swimming lessons in the pool and the general area felt a little run down. The sauna was packed and the hot tub was not even remotely hot. I attempted this area once and not again which was disappointing as I only chose this hotel because of the gym and pool.

Return visit to this hotel and as before nice room, good service and food and EV charging.

I regularly stay in Coppid Beech for work as the staff are always very welcoming from the front desk through to the restaurant staff and the cleaning team. The gym facilities are extremely dated but do the job they are there to do. I’ve not used the wet facilities when on site as it’s normally quite busy. The room was excellently presented and bed was comfortable. The amenities in the room were suitable for my needs. The iron for the room I used wasn’t brilliant but I could blame my technique as much as the apparatus itself.

Room was spacious and very clean. Staff were amazing, pool was great for the kids, would stay again. The fish tanks were a big hit for the little ones.

I have stayed at the Coppid Beech many times in the last year. The rules about room servicing have changed and no one told me so I was upset when my room was not serviced during my two night stay This also meant that the room supplies were not replenished so no drinking water

Room was not what we paid for via hotels.com- wrong no of beds, no balcony! After 90mins argue was offered to arrange a 20% refund the next day when managers were in and offered to bring up an extra bed (I paid for a room that sleeps 6, was given only room that sleeps 4!) we tried to settle into the room and bath our toddler to get ready for going out for dinner (after 90 minutes delay of arguing that the room allocated by the hotel was not the room I paid for online) I found the bathroom in a disgusting state with hair and dried on splatter up the shower screen and around the bathtub. The jacuzzi seat was covered in dried on products/human bodily fluids and long black hair all over the bathtub and wrapped around the bath mat. After another complaint and half hour waiting in the reception we were offered a different room (still not what I paid for or was advertised online). So after a long day at legoland, leaving legoland early (4pm) to get to the hotel to relax and bath the kids before going to dinner we had a 2+ hour delay before we could even get to a clean room and get ourselves sorted for dinner and ended up ordering dinner at 9pm (elsewhere!!). It really was a horrible stressful stay. To make matters worse- I was fobbed off by the new receptionist that they couldn’t refund me anything because I’d booked though a third party and not themselves! I’d only booked with hotels.com because of a NHS discount offer and only booked this hotel because of the balcony!

Good for parking, neat, tidy and professional reception area, bedrooms rather dated, sheets not made properly, dirty mattress, shower not hot enough, pool area and facilities were ok.

The room was modern and comfortable. The only issue was housekeeping only left 1 towel between 2 people. Extra towels were requested and delivered but they disappeared next day. You have to request for your room to be serviced rather than it being the default

Nice big room big bath all clean

Stay was good, but the carpet was not well vacuumed. Previous visitor's cookie crumbs still on the floor and there were no bottled water for guests. The bed was excellent - felt refreshed in the morning!

Room was slightly dated compared to others that had been modernised. But was very clean. Staff in leisure facilities were brilliant

We stayed in a family suite at Coppid beech and it was very spacious, with a separate room with a King-sized bed. The aquarium feature was lovely to see. We had an issue with the shower and the receptionist dealt with it professionally. We were given the double room beside our room, so we could use the shower whilst the shower in our room was being repaired. One star down for the noise from an annual dance event in the hotel, thankfully it stopped around 1am or 2am. There was a lovely balcony attached to our suite but unfortunately, it was dirty, so we couldn't sit out there. The cleaning of the rooms and bathrooms could do with some improvement. Breakfast was lovely but there was a very long queue on our final day. We still had all options available at Breakfast despite the number of guests that morning. Free parking was a bonus, as most hotels now annoyingly charge for parking.

Room was clean and tidy and checked in machine was straight forward and efficient.

Clean, large room. Comfy bed, nice Lobby with bar area. Good for an overnight stay. Didn’t use club or pool, but heard they were fine.

2nd time staying here. Previous stay i had a lovely modern room. This time i had a very tired room in need of an update. The bed was nice and comfortable though.

We have stayed at the Coppid Beech previously. We really like it. Not only is the overall hotel experience very good, but the restaurants that are part of the same complex provide excellent evening meals; and the breakfast is always plentiful with a wide choice. So why haven't we given it 5 stars across the board? For one simple (and minor, but important!) reason - the pillows. One might expect uncomfortable pillows at hotels with less star-ratings, but of the 4 pillows we had, 3 were really poor, hard and, unsurprisingly, uncomfortable to the point of being unusable. This will not dissuade us from coming to the Coppid Beech, but please, please can the pillows be such that they give customers a realistic chance of a decent night's sleep? It was particularly frustrating as everything else about the experience was absolutely great - particular praise goes to the chef who prepared the Rump of Lamb!

We stayed in a family room on the 3rd floor. We were right next to the lift, which didn’t bode well at numerous times in the early hours when people congregated outside our room. Sadly, it wasn’t the best night’s sleep over the 2 nights.

Great family stay before lapland UK visit. Great pool, friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Lovely big family room, very comfortable.

Had a room with a balcony that overlooked a petrol station and didn’t have any seats outside - was not worth paying the extra for a balcony room. The double bed was two single mattresses which needed a thick double topper on top otherwise you couldn’t sleep in the middle without discomfort or falling down the crack - ok if you want a reason not to cuddle your other half or if you tend to sleep at the edge of the bed

A night club underneath a staff party venue .and guests who dont care if your or your kids are trying to sleep in and out off rooms partying till all hrs

Very nice hotel, and good value for money. Room was large, bright, very comfortable and clean. Food was good, and service excellent (although my colleague was asked to pay extra at breakfast for a decaf. cappuccino, which I thought was a bit stingy). My only complaint was the noise and vibration from the night club, that went on through the early hours of the morning.

Our room was spacious and had all amenities we could have wanted. The bed was comfortable and lovely thick curtains that blocked out all light. It was clean and no signs of neglect. Beautiful fish tanks in the centre of the hotel. Reception staff were professional but could have been a little friendlier and more welcoming. The bar was very noisy as it was a Saturday night. I’m not sure if there’s a quieter bar anywhere to enjoy a relaxing night cap. Breakfast was extremely busy and we had to join a queue of guests waiting for tables to be free. I could see empty tables but were told they’d been booked. We hadn’t been given an option to book a breakfast table so requested they release some of them to prevent people having to take their breakfast into the reception area. Thankfully they did this and we were able to sit in the dining room. There was a queue for food but the serving platters were filled regularly with fresh, hot food. Milk and juices had run out but on request were refilled quickly. All in all, a comfy nights sleep other than noisy guests returning to their rooms. It was convenient to the location where we’d enjoyed a birthday celebration. I don’t think we’d go there for a weekend break though unless we were much younger and wanted the ‘party scene’

Requested a twin but got a double. Told that no options but when we went on line there were twins and family rooms to buy! Only one towel in the room despite booking for two people. Got the impression that reception just couldn’t be bothered to help.

On arrival I checked in online but I still had to check in at the desk. Not a big deal but I got an email the day before to check in online as it would save time but had to fill out details twice. The reception lounge area is lovely and makes a fab first impression. The suite was a fabulous size. It is in some desperate need of refurbishment though. Really dated, chipped furnisher, walls etc. In the notes during booking, I mentioned that it was a birthday and asked if the hotel could provide anything in the room the mark the ocassion as it was a suprise but the request was ignore and not mentioned at all even in check in. The service in Rowan restaurant was brilliant. On par with all the 5 stars hotels I have visited. The waiting staff deserve a special mention. It was a shame that at the end I was given the wrong bill which was almost £70 more! I paid as I didn't look at the receipt until the last minute. The staff member was really apologetic and I received a refund. I dont normally look at receipt thoroughly but because this seemed quite excessive, I am glad I looked. The waiting staff are forgiven though because they were so lovely beforehand😊. On check out I thought it would be nice to ask how our stay was like other hotels. The hotel has the potential to be amazing but just a few detail's lets it down. Overall I would return.

It was superb and I thank all the staff involved on arrival staff were cheerful and polite when entering the rooms very impressed we had dinner and a snack in the restaurant and the food was excellent along with the service I come to the PGA every year with my wife and family and it could not have been better A big thank you and see you next year

I regret booking at the property and not choosing the Hilton one. Receptionist called Sophie was rude to my husband about early check in, and suggest we hang around for one hour, even if we requested early check in upon booking the stay. We are grateful for the asian lady in the reception, who was accommodating enough to swap around rooms to grant our request so we can check in early. DISASTER at 3 AM We ( everyone in the hotel ) had to evacuated at 2/3 am in the morning because of fire/fire alarm in one of the clubs and fire brigade came. With this event, we didn’t have a restful sleep. Apparently, this is was not the first time. In the morning, we were refused to extend check out by a blonde lady in the reception, considering the fiasco we experienced in early hours in the morning. Most staff, I’d say, are not very friendly. I will be writing this feedback to the management. The photos of the facilities does not match the actual amenities such as spa/swimming. It is pretty ran-down and not well maintained. I will not book a stay again.

Good hotel in central location

Good hotel, rooms clean, comfy and well appointed. Breakfast, is tasty but fairly limited.

The hotel looks great and the amenities are all very good. A nice sized room, comfy bed, modern bathroom, kettle in the room. I attended a work conference which went really well, the event room was perfect and used again in the evening for the party. Staff are attentive, friendly & professional. However, the hotel is hugely let down by the restaurant. Whilst the waiting staff are great, the food really is not! The evening before the event, my husband and I ordered a starter and main for our meal and both were brought to the table at the same time. We sent the main meal back as we wanted to eat our starter first and didn't want the main to get cold. We ordered cheese fondue for the starter but it was not a fondue. Instead it was a baked camembert style cheese which had been left too long to bring to the table so it was cold, we had to use a knife to get the cheese out. We also had to return this and ask for it to be cooked properly so it was runny for our bread and meats to be dipped into. When it was brought back, it felt as though it had been microwaved, it was warmer and we could dip for a short while but it went cold again quickly. This should not be advertised as a fondue, it was nothing like a fondue, no flame to keep the cheese warm. Our main meal was just pizza with onion rings which was okay. Breakfast on the Saturday was not great but better on the Sunday. I would return if I was in the area but I would not choose to eat here.

the hotel and staff were excellent modern & clean as well as great parking its only let down for me was the breakfast at £15 pp there was no little cakes no continental ie ham cheese etc as for the cooked breakfast fried eggs hard and plastic looking as for bacon was fatty and cold as was the rest of the cooked it was just cold orange juice was just so diluted you get a lot more for a lot less at other restaurants.I wouldn't have the breakfast there again but would be more than happy to stay

The hotel decor throughout was amazing. The views etc are great and there is lots on offer, whether you just need a place to lay your head, you're looking for entertainment or a bit of pampering. What let the trip down was the level of noise (walls are very thin), the breakfast service was poor; staff were unable to cope with the number of guests, food and beverages and crockery were not being topped of replaced in a timely manner. It was so shambolic that I didn't eat more than a bowl of fruit and ende up requesting a refund. To top it all off, I was charged twice for the room, despite having pre-paid. This was rectified but the front desk staff were pretty blasé about it. The spa facilities and treatment were great, but was slightly disrupted by noise from a domestic dispute better other guests (with some pretty colourful language!) I do appreciate the therapist trying to cover my ears though... All in all, a bit of a mixed experience.

Stayed on Friday night and on first appearances the hotel looks amazing. This does not disappoint elsewhere, it’s the clean and the rooms are comfortable and well kitted out. Swimming pool is great to use during the stay also. However, food is average but the prices that they charge is overly priced. Couldn’t go wrong with the burger my partner and eldest son had and the child’s pizza my youngest had, however I had the belly pork and when it came out it was cold and the mash was I believe powdered mash. We paid the bill when leaving to later be rang in our room at 9pm after putting the kids to bed to be asked if we could go down to reception to pay for a child’s meal that they forgot to charge us for in the first place. Absolutely not after we were all in bed, why could this not wait until the morning? Got home and realised that I had a pending card transaction for £60 from the hotel. Rang them and they didn’t know what it was for, so did reverse it but please check your accounts after this stay. All in all lovely hotel but food let it down and aspects of customer service

The hotel is great, parking easy, staff all very helpful and friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. The only issue I had was with the breakfast. With my booking I paid £15 for a breakfast which was buffet style. I went for breakfast about 7.30am, it wasn't particularly busy but many of the breakfast items were missing. No white bread for toast, on the hot buffet their were no sausages or eggs and the bacon looked uncooked. Also he beans were cold
