At Hartsfield Manor, guests frequently highlight the welcoming staff, attractive historic manor and expansive grounds with convenient parking, though several note that weddings can dominate bar and lounge areas, strain parking, and occasionally bring noise to otherwise peaceful stays.

It wasn't made clear to us at the point of booking that we will be in a completely different building (The Lodge) so far from the main house. I feel we didn't manage to enjoy all the Manor had got to offer simply because we were so far away. We still enjoyed our visit but felt like second class citizens.

Arrived after very long journey. Staff very helpful with luggage. Room small but adequate for a one person’s needs. Ate a bar snack of fish and chips in bar area. Almost inedible. Batter on fish thick and rubbery, chips dry and tasteless. Not impressed. Slept badly. Noisy guests outside woke me at 2am. Following day was a wedding which I was told about two weeks before my stay so no time to rebook elsewhere. Music playing until midnight which was very audible from my room which despite being told otherwise was close to the venue. Slept badly. Left at 6.30am to start my 250 mile journey home. Will not be revisiting.

I really enjoyed my stay, we book for a 4am drive to Gatwick. The staff were lovely, no lift so don’t bring a heavy case (although one of the porters took it up the stairs for us). Sitting out in the grounds was beautiful. We had an evening meal, which was outstanding Traditional manor, no air con, fan in the rooms but that was enough for us.
