Really loved the hotel and the surrounding area. Staff has a tough job keeping the street traffic out of their private, residence only garden and it was a bit hard to enjoy a quiet afternoon with so many day-visiting tourists walking around us. Otherwise, the food and hospitality is top-notch and everyone’s very friendly.

The hotel was fine but it's not worth the price. Staff were helpful when you could get one but the front desk was often unstaffed for long periods. Parking was a problem. We had to leave and eat somewhere else before checking in later that night. There isn't enough parking for the size of the hotel so I assume that you might never get to park there. Room was a bit worn i.e. tiles in shower were pink but one had clearly broken and been replaced with a green one.

The hotel was nice but the only way to our room was by 2 flights of stairs which made getting our bags to our room was a pain and would have been impossible for some. Staff at the desk was nice and freindly but the wait staff never smiled. Town is nice but i would stay in another town next time.

Gorgeous experience! Perfect location to walk all around town. Restaurant on site or walking distance. We had one of the very spacious cottages. The 1st floor is a living room and going up the winding stairs to the bedroom and bathroom. Parking is onsite and whoever gets there first. Right across the street is a wonderful walk along the water that is filled with swans and ducks. Cute bar and outside patio with beautiful flowers. Staff are great especially Maria who is always everywhere being helpful with a beautiful smiling face! We really enjoyed our vacation time from the USA - thank you!

The hotel is in the best possible location for Bibury and exploring nearby villages. Super friendly welcome for us and our dog. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea there. Lots of quality bits from the Nespresso, to the Milton Brown goodies in the bathroom. Breakfast was tasty with a continental buffet pre hot food. Only downside is our room was like a furnace despite turning the radiators down - opened the windows and it was then fine. I can see how parking would be a challenge in peak time (summer) but in winter it was fine.

The staff were wonderful from booking in to to dining at the property to checking out. I was very happy with the experience. The cleanliness in the room was very good, but in the shower I noticed black mold in a few places on the grout. I personally am not allergic to the mold but many people are. Perhaps the shower area should be inspected on a weekly basis?

Ok hotel in a good location. Service was very poor. Bar staff complaining amongst themselves about management was very un professional. Food was expensive and mediocre. Room was nice with big bathroom but bed comfort was barely ok.

Amazing location and great service. One or two things amiss at dinner (forgot a couple of things) but made amends. Also check the bill! We were given someone else’s at check-out. Human error an certainly not a deal-breaker. The cottage rooms are lively but do lack some amenities: there is no fridge and no hanging space for clothes. Also there is a gap in the front garden hedge of Trumpeter cottage that a small dog (like our cockapoo) could escape through. We informed them and should be an easy fix.

Hotel room was great and the reception service was good. However, the main dining service at the restaurant of the Hotel is terrifying. Poor service and my steak literally came out cold. I ended up ordering UberEats because I didn’t even have time to reorder and the staff at the restaurant are not professional at all. Other hotels would’ve easily waived my wife’s food bill as I couldn’t even dine with her!

Wonderful experience! My husband and I did a last minute trip to the Cotswold and found this gem a few days before. Completely in love with the property and the staff was so incredibly welcoming and kind. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Staying at The Swan Hotel is truly like stepping foot into a fairy tale. It really does look as beautiful as in the pictures. All of the staff from the front desk to the bartender to the waiters in the restaurant were welcoming and made us feel at home. I wish I could have stayed longer and I will be dreaming of the day I can return.

Lots of quality bits from the Nespresso, to the Milton Brown goodies in the bathroom. Breakfast was tasty with a continental buffet pre hot food. Only downside is our room was like a furnace despite turning the radiators down - opened the windows and it was then fine. I can see how parking would be a challenge in peak time (summer) but in winter it was fine.

Ok hotel in a good location. Service was very poor. Bar staff complaining amongst themselves about management was very un professional. Food was expensive and mediocre. Room was nice with big bathroom but bed comfort was barely ok.

Hotel room was great and the reception service was good. However, the main dining service at the restaurant of the Hotel is terrifying. Poor service and my steak literally came out cold. I ended up ordering UberEats because I didn’t even have time to reorder and the staff at the restaurant are not professional at all. Other hotels would’ve easily waived my wife’s food bill as I couldn’t even dine with her!

From the moment we stepped into reception the courtesy & friendliness was second to none. The only improvement we would like to see would be a bar menu for the evening when a 3 course meal would be too much. A ploughman’s or sandwich would be ideal.
