Hotel was lovely, staff friendly. We took our two dogs and they were welcome in most parts of hotel. Small patch of grass available for them to use. Food really nice, usual pub food. Our room was on very top floor - narrow steep staircase between mid and top floor. No lifts so everything had to be carried. Room was spacious and some lovely touches to welcome us although a mini fridge would have been great.

What a lovely hotel, the staff are very friendly and professional and can’t do enough for you. The hotel is very traditional and homely and the rooms are spacious with a lovely big bathroom and nice shower. It’s a quiet hotel apart from the early morning wake up call of glass collection at 6am and some sort of immersion heater kicking in shortly after, good job I’m an early bird! I would definitely stay there again, the food was very tasty and the bar area was lovely and snug. It’s very handy right in the middle of town so we could drop bags off as we went along and the car park is ample. Very enjoyable stay.

Hotel is situated right in the centre of Conwy so great for walking to all of the sights. A beautiful old building with lots of character and very nice bar and restaurant. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean with stunning antique decor .There is also parking at the back with plenty of spaces and also across the road, parking for hotel guests too. The staff were all lovely and helpful and we absolutely loved our stay at the Castle and will definitely be back !

Staff very friendly and efficient, always had time to talk. Breakfast excellent. Room comfortable with good toiletries and coffee. We were on the second floor so a bit of a climb could do with a lift! Parking excellent we didn’t move our car during our stay.

Beautiful property within walking distance of the castle. Parking was free, in the back of the hotel, although it required driving through a very narrow passageway. Our room was gorgeous.

Very nice hotel some rooms at the front are a little noisy because of the original windows this would probably only affect you if you're a light sleeper, no lift so ask for help with your luggage.

The Castle hotel has a great location, and parking at the hotel. We had a room with a view of Castell Conwy. The historic hotel had great atmosphere, food, and drink. If I ever go back, I would stay there again. Wonderful staff, too!

Excellent overall. It's an old 'historic' hotel, so expect weird shaped rooms and stuff shoehorned into corners. Which I liked. Also good team and coffee making facilities - and (very important for business trip) a workable desk in the room. The food was good at the restaurant (esp the mussels in beer batter). Nice bar serving selection of draft beer. Free car parking. Also a good central location in Conwy.

We saw some parts of the hotel were not as clean as it could have been. There was a boiler failure si we were not as warm as we would have liked. It was very difficult to dress my hair or put my makeup on because the mirror in bathroom was very dark and there were no mirrors in the bedroom to style my hair.

We had a lovely stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was a little dusty, there was toothpaste on the tiles in the bathroom still and the plug for the coffee machine was half way across the room so had to move that to be able to use, hence then spotting the ring of dust around the machine we had moved. The TV also didn’t have particularly good signal so keep cutting off. The room was cosy though and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely toiletries available in the room.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Castle Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and eager to help. This hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of Conwy close to all the main attractions. We arrived early and our room was ready which was massively appreciated after a long drive in. Parking was easy, free and onsite. The room itself was clean and tidy for the most part but had an overwhelming damp smell so we had the windows open the whole of our stay. The bathroom also smelled very damp and the basin was blocked so didn’t drain well. There were also bird droppings on the door and on the radiator which was unpleasant. The bed was huge and very comfortable and there were some nice additions like free water bottles, a variety of hot drinks and biscuits. We had dinner in the restaurant on our last night, I was very pleased with mine but my husband had muscles and he said they were bland and stringy so not too fresh (odd for a seaside hotel). What made this hotel was the staff. From the moment we entered we were warmly welcomed, Dave in The Snug was great fun and Rachel in the restaurant was so friendly and attentive, some of the best service we’ve received and a real asset to the hotel.

The whole weekend was a success from the accommodation to the service. The staff couldnt do enough for you. The food was excellent and all freshly cooked offering a good selection. The staff were freindly, helpful and made sure we were comfortable. The castle is well situated for all the attractions that you would want to see in Conwy. The room was a good size and very clean. I would definitely recommend

We were able to park behind the building, but big vehicles might not be able to. A tour bus used the lot in front of the building, so it wasn't available to us. Hotel has a very convenient location for looking at the harbor and going to the castle and Plas Mawr. Relatively quiet. Very spacious suite. The problem we had was that it was pretty hot outside and there wasn't AC. There was a fan, which helped us sleep. But we couldn't open the bedroom window in the evening because of smells from the kitchen below. Otherwise, I liked the hotel.

The Castle Hotel Conwy is a great place to stay. Staff are some of the friendliest I have encountered in many years and many hotel stays. Room is spacious and comfortable. The beds and bedding a dream. And the food is quite superb. The home made pies are special and the steak tasty and tender.

Stayed in the Narnia suite, requested the specific room in advance out of the two suites and was allocated the room we wanted with no hassle. The room is really cool and we loved the Narnia room with a view of the castle and church and you can even see the sea when the tide is in too! Parked without issue but if you have a large car like me then it’s good to take a swing into the tunnel so that you can try and get in as straight as possible - we also realised after there’s a few spaces opposite the hotel too which you can also use - I think about 8 spaces on a small carpark right opposite the hotel if you don’t want to risk the tunnel! Reception staff seemed very under the kosh but understandable for a busy bank holiday weekend! And one bar man huffed and seemed very put out when I asked for a cocktail at the bar, made very obvious he didn’t want to make it and huffed and sighed loudly at every action which I found slightly uncomfortable but overall it was good.

Had a nice stay. The Hotel is a little on the dated side but this was to be expected due to the age of the building. The room was very hot and the small fan provided a little inadequate. It was rather noisy too at times. Overall we would stay there again all things considered

We had an enjoyable stay for two nights in the castle hotel in a superior double room. The room overlooked the street and had two large sash windows and might be considered a little noisy but it wasn't too bad and earplugs are provided! The bathroom (which also had a large window) was modern and spacious and functioned very well. It had a bath which was a treat. The windows opened (always a bonus) but needed a proper to support them.The bed was very comfortable and there was hanging space for clothes. There was a coffee machine and kettle for making drinks, complimentary water every day and biscuits. The room wasn't big but did have a couple of chairs and a desk. There was plenty of variety available at breakfast and service there was very good.

This hotel defied my expectations. After staying in brand hotels for the majority of my week long stay in the UK, this hotel was a breath of fresh air. Great parking considering the area, warm service, and excellent room design and cleanliness that felt like staying at grandma's house in the best of ways, the only exception being the wonderfully modernized bathrooms. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the wonderful little spot that Conwy is.

I was hugely impressed by this hotel. Physically it's a characterful building. It's well looked-after, it's got a really good restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful without tipping over into being intrusive. Hotel is situated right in the centre of Conwy so great for walking to all of the sights. A beautiful old building with lots of character and very nice bar and restaurant. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean with stunning antique decor .There is also parking at the back with plenty of spaces and also across the road, parking for hotel guests too. The staff were all lovely and helpful and we absolutely loved our stay at the Castle and will definitely be back !

The whole weekend was a success from the accommodation to the service. The staff couldnt do enough for you. The food was excellent and all freshly cooked offering a good selection. The staff were freindly, helpful and made sure we were comfortable. The castle is well situated for all the attractions that you would want to see in Conwy. The room was a good size and very clean. I would definitely recommend

The property was very well situated in the heart of Conwy, easy access to everything. The only issues we had was due to scaffolding outside our bedroom window and work being carried out for the two days we were there. Directly outside of our window we were woken at 6:30am with banging , unable to sleep this happened the two mornings we were there and were unable to open our curtains due to workmen outside. No apologies for any inconvenience were given . The second day the whole hotel had machinery in cleaning all the carpets and floors, at no stage we were pre warned of this situation . We ordered a pacific drink the first night , the barmen made the drink , we ordered another one with dinner . Second night requested the drink and the girl flatly refused and said you only order from the list given at the bar. When I mentioned that we had this last night she wasn’t even going to help so therefore ordered a different drink . No apologies at all. The day we checked out we noticed on our billing we were charged 10% on the restaurant bill as a tip. No indication this was even asked just taken. I mentioned to management regarding working on the scaffold and he never once said , sorry for any inconvenience caused. Very disappointed.

We were able to park behind the building, but big vehicles might not be able to. A tour bus used the lot in front of the building, so it wasn't available to us. Hotel has a very convenient location for looking at the harbor and going to the castle and Plas Mawr. Relatively quiet. Very spacious suite. The problem we had was that it was pretty hot outside and there wasn't AC. There was a fan, which helped us sleep. But we couldn't open the bedroom window in the evening because of smells from the kitchen below. Otherwise, I liked the hotel.

This hotel is in the perfect location within the city center, and just a few minutes from the beach and the castle and the train station. The room could not be cuter. When I walked into my room, there was a radio that was playing some very soothing music on my nightstand, and the lamp was turned on so that the room looked warm and inviting. There’s a chandelier in the room. The TV is perfect size and the bathroom looks gorgeous. The staff is super friendly. I liked it here so much that I decided to stay an extra night and they were able to accommodate me. My room had actually been rented out, but they moved things around so that I could stay in the same room. I would come back in a heartbeat.

The Castle hotel has a great location, and parking at the hotel. We had a room with a view of Castell Conwy. The historic hotel had great atmosphere, food, and drink. If I ever go back, I would stay there again. Wonderful staff, too!

Great location in the middle of Conwy. The hotel has on site parking but the main area behind the hotel is accessed via a very narrow alley. Not suitable for larger vehicles. The rooms are really very comfortable. Breakfast options are good and the dinner service is excellent.

Lovley old original property, our room had a nice view of the castle. Dinner was superb but we couldn’t reccomend the breakfast , The buffet ran out completely ( orange juice toast etc ) and wasn’t replenished for over half an hour in spite of us asking . We waited over an hour for our cooked breakfast to arrive . When it did arrive there was one rasher of bacon, one sausage, half a mushroom and one fried egg. I’m not a greedy person but it didn’t seem like a lot for £15. After waiting so long for our breakfast it would have been nice if the member of staff serving us had at least apologised for the long wait but unfortunately she didn’t.

Hotel very central with parking at rear. Staff are helpful and hotel has plenty of character. Room was small but comfortable and tastefully furnished and bathroom was huge!
