The slabs on the steps are all cracked and are not safe, the hole area needs to be repaired for Health and safety reasons. and when the lift stops working it’s no good for people that cannot get upstairs. How? How are people supposed to get upstairs when the lift is down? I was only there a week and the lift went down two or three times and me my wife had disabled people and we struggle to get the stairs.

Super vibrant hotel You could sit in the lobby and watch everyone coming and going it’s a very vibrant hotel nice gym pool Starbucks in the lobby which gives a lovely smell of coffee being ground all day long Sports bar etc

Huge car park, free on weekends. Easy check-in. We arrived really late which wasn’t our plan & no longer serving food but Courtney (I think) was really helpful, grabbed us some plates & cutlery & pointed us in the direction of takeaway food. Room, lovely the bath was a huge bonus. Bed huge & comfy. Stayed at Coventry Village a couple months ago which was also great. Would definitely recommend & stay again.

Additional charges for parking and pool / gym facilities which weren’t detailed on website (explained that as we’d booked via Expedia these weren’t included). Wouldn’t book again for this reason. No AC in room but fan supplied. Sink cracked and tap loose in hole. With window open could hear aqua-aerobics or spin classes.

The village had a good location for visiting family and friends. Our days out included a trip by bus to Birmingham, a visit to the local Dudley museum as well as the glass museum. The waiting on staff at breakfast were great. A particular mention for Matthew and Lynda who looked after us well ensuring we had everything we required. Breakfast was fine, with cooked and continental variants. It was unusual to ask for fried eggs but this meant they were freshly cooked. The room had a comfortable bed and was kept clean. The downside was that only one towel was left each day unless we specifically requested 2. Also they were changed daily when we didn’t need them to be. Paying for parking was unusual in an out of town location, and how that is paid for. The invoice slipped under the door did not match our stay but the person on reception sorted that for us. It should be clearly advertised when you pay for.

I didn’t really get the experience I wanted. I tried to get a quiet nap before my big night. But got woken up and had to evacuate because of fire alarm which annoyed me a lot as it wasn’t a fire alarms just a pranks by group of kids mask and hoddies who were allowed in the hotel in first place. Didn’t feel safe about that. After finding yellow stains on pillows and bedsheets really made my stay uncomfortable.

It was pretty clean, the bed was very comfy. Although the mugs in the room were dirty and at 10 o’clock on our first morning we had house keeping banging on our door shouting at us that check out is at 11 even though we weren’t due to check out on that morning? Other than that, the front desk staff were helpful and we had a nice stay.

We were allocated a disabled room when we had not booked it. Everything thing in the bathroom very low, very little lighting in the bathroom -cannot do make up at all or see anything the mirror. The extractor fan in the bathroom not working and ceiling above shower mouldy. Poor bathroom conditions. We were not expecting this low level of standard from a village hotel that was not cheap. Very disappointed.

Nice modern clean room with coffee and tea facilities, TV worked which is rare! Bathroom clean with walk in shower that was nice and powerful. Sleep was great, bed and 2 pillows each was very comfortable and no late night noise :-)

Bedroom was ok. Cleanliness was average with hair in sink bowl and grimy plug socket but otherwise clean. Bed was comfortable bathroom with bath. Dinner options for vegetarians were awful particularly for a brand that associates with health spa gym etc. 2 options: vegetarian burger or vegetarian pizza. Very poor choice and nothing remotely healthy. Surrounding area all similar McDonald's, KFC, pizza hut etc

Sunny weather meant the rooms were very hot. No air conditioning, windows have safety restraints so windows only open a little. Too hot to sleep. Pool is open until 9pm but children must leave by 6.30pm and not allowed in until 9am. This is not a resort hotel so, after being out all day in Birmingham we didn’t arrive until 5.30-6pm. Meant children only had a few minutes to cool down and play in the pool.

I have stayed at the village several times over the past year and overall the hotel is clean, staff are extremely helpful, the gym is good although sometimes it gets a little busy, better tongonearlybor late, however this time i stayed the rooms were just too hot, as the climate changes the village hotel may have to look at air conditioning, already that is now one of the first things im looking foe when booking. Its not good when your working away, your facing clients and uiu have had no sleep because of the heat, a shame because everything else is spot on..

Windows absolutely useless, noise from road was horrendous. Power went off at 10.30pm, still not on next morning, had to call reception from own line as no tele in room. Signs were obvious when there is security in reception

Hotel was decent. But alas our stay was horrific. The windows dont cancel any sound and theur were cars dijng donuts outside until 3am. There was a party on at the hotel which went on until 1am so again we couldnt sleep due to the bass coming through from that (avoid the first floor!). Thirdly, and no fault of the hotels but again in the floor above us there was a rampant bable elephant rearanging its room until 1am. Thay was the last straw and called the reception. The said they would check but it didnt stop the noise. Would have beed a great stay if we could have slept. My girlfriend had to work in the AM so was worse for her.

Our room was at the front of the hotel which made it really noisy. Traffic, guests arguing & Starbucks getting a stock delivery around midnight did not make it easy to sleep. The room was too hot but unable to open the windows because of the noise. Perhaps better if you have a room at the back.

No air conditioning. Our room was hotter than the 7th circle of hell. The staff did replace the broken desk fan in our room when we asked but it did little apart from move the hot air around. Also the windows only open 1cm. Wish we had booked the premier inn opposite.

Had a lovely stay once they sorted out our room, first room the gave us was occupied and had the other guest belongings in, good job we are honest people. Because we could have just helped ourselves if we were that way inclined. Hence to say we didn’t leave any of our belongings in the room when we went out and about.

Electronic check-in after a long day is soulless and unwelcoming. I stay in hotels a lot and electronic check-ins are becoming more and more common To be fair the reception lady did try hard to provide a welcome.

We LOVE staying at this hotel. The staff are all amazing- from the hospitality to the fitness team. Everybody is so friendly and welcoming and the hotel is clean with a lively homely feel. The gym and pool area are great too, and we will definitely be returning. Big shout out to Nathan who is so helpful and a genuinely lovely member of the team.

My great , then again I have stayed here twice and both trips were terrible.. first time was the food was overcooked and the room was challenging to find.. 2nd stay the room was way to warm, the fan was broken and randomly member of staff without knocking walked into my room and never even bothered to apologise.. not worth the money it’s only the location that makes it necessary!

We stayed at the hotel for a night for a wedding, we received a very warm and friendly welcome the staff on reception was very helpful. The bar staff and the staff that served us during the wedding breakfast were very professional and polite and really accomadating. The room was really clean and tidy and we had a very pleasant stay we would definitely recommend the hotel and we would love to stay again in the future.

The property in it self is OK but definately in need of refurbishment. Only bad word is we arrived late on the Friday and the reception staff were un helpful and basically handed us the door key and turned her back and went in her office. Not to happy on that one

I had a short, but nice stay at the Village Hotel. The room was nice and clean and the staff was extremely nice. I flew in from the US and brought the wrong type of voltage adapter with me. The gentleman at the front desk was kind enough to lend me a cell phone charger, which really saved the day. Great hotel!

Very friendly and efficient staff at check-in. Room and bed very comfortable and quiet. The hotel offers very good facilities (onsite gym etc), and a functional bar/dining area (a little too 'busy' for our taste, but seemed to provide all that was needed). Unfortunately our room had a power failure as we were preparing to leave, which we did report. Would have liked a Quiet area where we could just read and chill. Would recommend for business stays, or brief visits. Very well situated for town and nearby attractions (Black County Museum notably)

We were unaware that we needed to put out the orange card for room service, which was disappointing. I was impressed that there was an espresso machine in the room and the breakfast was impressive, although I found it particularly rude to begin removing pastries, juices et cetera while we were still eating on our last morning. The hotel is in walking distance of the main attractions, and it has a good pool area although the water in the hot tubs was not hot! Locally farmed sausages would be an improvement with higher meat content and the orange juice wasn’t great. Lovely patisserie items and great coffee!

Premier inn standard rooms. Bar food no better than Wetherspoons, but sold at Hilton prices. Have to check yourself in, and even print your own room key. No personal touch at all. Staff were friendly enough when one could be found. Got ripped off, nearly £20 for a large coke and 2 pints. Better booking a nice pub with cosy rooms.

Unfortunately, on arrival I was given a room near the main road, which wouldn't have been a problem but due to the poor seal on the windows which meant the room was very noisy. I did ask to change rooms and I was given another in a quieter part of the hotel. In the room the light switches were out of sync with different switches needing to be turned on/ off in order for others to works. The housing around the main switch was damaged as the plastic had been chipped. We ordered food for 4 people which included starters. The starters were delivered after the main courses, and the main courses were lukewarm. When advising the lady who delivered the food she didn't seem interested and just said that she wasn't told that the starter dishes were meant to come out first, despite being starters??? The quality of the food was poor and the chicken wings weren't edible. Not one member of staff asked if our food was OK, even when clearing the table. I wouldn't suggest eating in the restaurant.

Decent hotel. Room a little small with no view. Breakfast had decent choice but no hash browns and scrambled egg choice. Coffee ok and juice. Self serve was ok.
