Very much enjoyed our two night stay at New Year. Nice restaurant with great breakfast. Very well organised New Year event which was good fun. Decent size pool with sauna and steam room, we didn't try out the other spa facilities though. The hotel itself is deep in the countryside so it's a 5 minute drive to Haslemere for other dining options. Some lovely walks around the hotel, there's a nearby farm with horses. Only negative is part of the car park has big potholes, could do with resurfacing.

Stayed 2 occasions here. Perfect for the short and relaxed break with 9 years old. Good food (both dinner and breakfast) Only to improve is Water temperature of swimming pool is a little low. Visit twice and both too cold

The restaurant was closed so the choice was pizza or chips, 2 lengthy fire alarms at 3:00 and 3:30 due to a malfunction, half the stuff doesn’t work in the rooms , water either boiling or cold, sauna not working. Staff are extremely friendly but little they can do with such shabby managemebt

Tried to get a bar meal in the evening, was told only food is in main restaurant, I wanted quick comfort food and not silver service, so went somewhere else for all 3 nights, spoke to some other guys there who all did the same. Would’ve been happy to use pizzeria if it was open. Breakfast was good, but again I wanted something quicker as pushed for time as restaurant doesn’t open until 7am, not sure £18:50 for breakfast is good value. Above or near my room (205) there is a pump (or similar) that runs for a few seconds repeatedly day and night. Gym was well equipped

The hotel is very attractive, situated on a country road but not inHaslemere. It’s about a 2 mile walk. It’s well appointed & has beautiful grounds & an adequate swimming pool & gym.The staff are very friendly.

Beautiful hotel, great for a short break. Would be lovely for a wedding venue. Lovely clean, modern room with chic bathroom. Nice pool and spa area. Facial treatment with Theresa was one of the best I've ever had. Food great, especially breakfast. Only minor irritation was that we asked twice, once on booking and again at the table, for one person to have no cheese or butter on their Afternoon Tea, but it still came up with butter on..... And also we had to ask for plates (!) and sugar for the coffee....... Overall, a great stay.

Great location for local area. Bar staff need training in how to communicate effectively and clearly. No availability in main restaurant and the pizza restaurant wasn’t even open, but it took them twenty minutes to tell us this after we’d asked for a table. Parking is very limited near main buildings and overflow felt less than secure.

Didn't miss the turn into entrance. Parking was easy. Recommend overflow , left near the pizzeria, lovely polite looking view. Reception easy to find and fast informed desk. Stayed in main block, well numbered. No lift/elevator I don't think (needs confirming)....work renovation at entrance of block was a little off putting but room very spacious, clean looking, towels , irons, kettles ect all in good order.. window view not up to much but Surrey area obviously has nice views all over... Breakfast was a little confusing if paid with room and also a bit extra unnecessary cost but a good continental (get there before 9am) full breakfast was light on doubling up on eggs sausage type thing though....WiFi and location was ideal.. bar is quaint with fire place. All staff smilingly getting on with there shifts... Some making more efforts than others. Steam Room and poolside in condition for its age..bright large window views..warm water..bubble bath continuous meaning no jumping up or out to reset it again... Sauna was out of order unfortunately. Changing rooms clean, reception girl at spa polite and informative, well tidy, the walk to spa from hotel was mainly gravel so maybe a path or hardened waypoint would be advised. Check out easy too. Kind regards.

The staff are polite and the rooms clean. Unfortunately, we were given a room with a disabled shower room and toilet. If you’ve ever tried washing your face in a sink that sits at knee level, it’s not a great look and bad for your back and forehead. The sauna/gym/pool are good. It was a shame that you couldn’t sit outside for a drink and to eat as there appears to a known wasp issue and short of wearing protective head gear and carrying a can of Raid, this was impossible. Otherwise, good locality to Goodwood, for which I’m grateful.

Everything was great, other than a bit of a damp, fusty smell in the room. It was fine but could do with some attention. Comfy bed, everything we needed, lovely breakfast but don’t leave it too late, things didn’t get restocked ie orange juice, pastries, sourdough. Overall a good stay

Our main complaint was a very poorly prepared room. No toilet paper, tissues. Light next to bed didn’t work bathroom door didn’t shut properly. TV didn’t tune in to BBC and to top it of no phone to ask for things to be rectified so had to walk outside to reception in pouring rain, down unlit slippery steps. I found the strong smell of paint not good. Spa was fine but had to ask for steam room, sauna not working. Food was good as was bar and catering service.

We stayed overnight as we were visiting my brother and his family in nearby Petworth. We didnt have time to try out the spa facilities but the receptionist offered it to us and unfortunately we had to decline, but will definitely try out the spa and pool next time we stay. Everything was great with the exception of the heating in our room. It was very warm. We tried to adjust the room stat, but eventually we turned down the TRV stat on the radiator. The room was very clean with large tv. The bathroom facilities were clean and modern. There was tea and coffee and kettle in the room with plentiful supplies. All in all, excellent value for money and will definitely stay again.

Charged me again for the room when I got there and then tried to charge us in the morning as we left. Shower flooded the bathroom and their were bugs in the drain. Dinner wasn't worth what we paid and neither was breakfast.

Upon check in, I requested a room in the ground floor because my companion is not able to go up the stairs and reception managed to move our room from 2nd floor to the ground floor. Thank you! The room was spacious, very clean and very modernly designed. Breakfast is a buffet with lots of choices and everything delicious. Restaurant dining experience was also great with a bar just next door. Haven’t checked the pool and spa which I missed. Staff are accommodating, friendly and hardworking. Very convenient with the wedding venue and reception only a minute away which was decorated amazingly beautiful. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay and I highly recommend it.

We arrived for a one night stay on 4th February to outstanding views and a beautiful location. Checked in to reception with friendly staff. Unfortunately it all went downhill when we arrived in our room. A very large cobweb greeted us on the ceiling which had clearly been there for a long time. Bath panel left on floor and shower unusable as hose was broken. Walls very grubby!!! We were there for a function and as they are having renovation work done in the function room the toilets were outside up a ramp in the dark. I have emailed hotel and still waiting for a reply!!! We paid £225 for the night but we would have had better facilities in a premier inn for cheaper!!!

Nice property convenient for Haslemere. The first room I was given wasn't very practical for my needs as I had a lot of luggage working away and had to negotiate numerous flights of steps. It also proved to be very noisy however, I moved to a quieter room for the rest of my stay which was excellent. Super friendly staff and nice location. Made use of the gym which is good although sweat towels would be appreciated. Lovely breakfast but sadly didn't make it to the spa. Fridges in the rooms are a huge must especially as it was so hot along with a tidy up of the back parking area but all in all, a nice stay and I would definitely return.

We stayed for 3 nights in a Lodge suite, the room was new and clean, however some signs of neglect around the shower room floor and cobwebs in the skylight windows, but overall good condition throughout, very quiet due to the position of the bedroom, no immediate neighbours either side, which was amazing given we were travelling with a toddler and were probably a bit noisy very early in the morning. The hotel has been refurbished fairly recently. All staff was friendly, the breakfast was very good, we ordered room service on one of the nights and the food was alright but it was a bit unclear how/to whom you order, more clarity would help. The pool area was good, pool water temperature was warm, the spa was fully booked, so we didn’t try it but it seemed busy. Waitrose 4 min drive away, convenient for some shopping. Plenty of parking. Some little issues like our room was never added to the breakfast list, so we had to explain every day, the room service instructions as mentioned above and some cleaning issues, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed easily, overall I would stay again.

Amazing place, great service however our room flooded with sewage so had to be moved. Member of staff who arranged this was quick and curious however did feel a little let down as 'it was well known' to happen in this room

The hotel is currently going through a renovation. I stayed in a newly refurbished room and it was lovely. I have stayed here a few times in the past also prior to this. I can say that the updates are looking great and I’m looking forward to staying again in the future.

Firstly I would like to say that the staff are working extremely hard but are understaffed or had sickness during our visit. Our check in was 45 minutes late, the room looked nice (502) but bed was uncomfortable, there was no soundproofing in the room at all therefore heard neighbours coughing, talking, walking around and flushing the toilet all throughout the stay and the night. The spa is very dated with need for refurbishment. The jacuzzi was cold and the poolside muddy. The restaurant service was slow due to lack of staff, although the staff were incredible. Some small improvements could really take this hotel up to standard.

Lovely location, great staff

Room was nice even though it wasn’t finished eg holes in ceiling, no plug socket near kettle. The walls are very thin in the Tudor building. Worst part was the unfriendly and unprofessional staff. The girl at check in did not provide a warm welcome after our two hour drive to get there, she was extremely stuck up and rude. Treated us like peasants. They give you a map to go and find your room. We were in 501 and they hide the sign behind a door frame. The Eastern European women at the Tudor restaurant was also rude, unprofessional and looked down at us, and again no warm welcome, cold natured with a natural inability to crack a smile. But worst was the divering old pensioner they have at breakfast time, before you get seated for breakfast you have to stand in the dining room amongst the guests having there breakfasts waiting for him to finish his chats with the other pensioners then he’ll shuffle over to you and ask how many for breakfast, then he’ll wander off to tell off a waitress, then shuffle back to you and ask how many for breakfast then before showing you to your seats he’ll point and explain what all the food is and where it is then you can sit down, then as it’s a buffet, get back up and try and navigate through the tiny dining room. You’ll have to wait in line for everything, tea, toaster, hot food etc. Probably will try this place again as the over half liked it but in a few years so all the current disinterested staff have moved on or been sacked.

I only really slept in the hotel. The reception staff were lovely and most helpful. Breakfast was first class and the view out to the lake was beautiful

This is a recently opened hotel but based in converted buildings. Its great. Lovely spacious rooms (we had a suite) and fully equipped. Housekeeping was first class and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only little niggle was the lack of selection for vegetarian/vegans. We werr staying 3 nights and my wife had only two meals to choose from. That said, we mentionex it to the waiter and tje chef immediately came up with a delicious meal not on the menu. Thats service.

Spent a couple of nights here after getting married nearby. We were upgraded to the King suite i think, was incredible & made a special couple of nights even more amazing. All the staff were friendly, polite & helpful. Absolutely no complaints

Breakfast was ok, but the toasting conveyor belt was poor & my toast got trapped, I mentioned it to the staff but nothing was done about it. Poor signage to the Reception upon arrival & to additional car parking. Lovely scenic garden from the conservatory.

I only really slept in the hotel. The reception staff were lovely and most helpful. Breakfast was first class and the view out to the lake was beautiful

The best part about this stay was the complimentary gym and pool with sauna…the room was a little small but clean. The restaurant for dinner was a very small and expensive menu with no light options and no flexibility on making amends to dishes. Breakfast was disappointing with no yoghurt and compote for most days and I was only asked if I preferred my eggs other than scrambled on the last day.

Lovely hotel that we have stayed in several times. We are pleased the price is reasonable as this matches its current way. Good points- tranquil and gorgeous grounds, lovely rooms and friendly check in, can use spa on the day of check out which is great. Negative points- breakfast buffet was almost empty and needed a major refill which took quite a while, very limited gluten free offering at breakfast. Spa needs a refresh.

We had an enjoyable time here but the hotel is just coming into new directors which I think it needs. The spa area was lovely but needs a bit of refreshing. The grounds are stunning. Our room was wonderful! The bed was super comfy and I loved having the option for a bath. The real let down was the breakfast for me as I’m gluten free. It was very limited options for me! I had a full English (minus the hash brown and sausage as they had gluten). However, there was no gluten free bread so I couldn’t have toast which is poor. There was also no gf cereal, cakes or pastries. It was disappointing. We would come back if it’s a reasonable price and the breakfast offering improves.
