Super experience. Free parking, friendly person behind desk Easy access late at night as attendant on at all times. Beds very comfy. We didnt have breakfast, but not sure what there is. Great stay.

Comfortable basic accommodation.. but very adequate for our one night stay Friendly welcome and easy check in.. free car park around the rear of the property.. The room contained everything we needed needed .. .. only draw back.. two single beds pushed together to make a double..my mattress was ok but the other was to soft and lumpy.. Room although clean and comfortable it would benefit from a little TLC but not complaining for the price Breakfast was included.. described as a grab and go..it was ideal and a great way to start the day I guess I would describe it as cheap and cheerful and great value for money

Needed a place for one night near to Heathrow. This did the trick! If you want to park in the free parking then make sure you're there before about 8pm, when we arrived it was full so we needed to find street parking.

Everything was quite ordinary. In view of the refurbishment claimed to be taken place, no restaurant service was provided. We were crumped into the sofas and a few high chairs with a small table in the lobby area to take breakfast. I do hope the restaurant will be completed next time I visit.

Room was basic but clean. Mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. The corridors and passageways through the hotel where in desperate need of modernising. Some stairwells had no bannisters at all. Breakfast wasn't too bad. Cooked breakfast was hot. coffee was good.

The room given was quite small . No cupboard only hooks on the wall . As we are 70 year plus the room was given was on 2nd floor with no lift . Most of the staircase there was nothing to hold . Very accident prone . Was very scared to go on the stairs . Will not book this again .

This was a 1-night stay for work, parking available at rear of premises but not enough spaces for the amount of rooms at hotel. I was in room 32 at rear of premises so got noise in the room from the car park at the rear. The room was very basic but functional. The heating was on high and controlled centrally. I had asked in the booking for decaf tea and coffee but there was none, so went asked lady on reception and got some decaf coffee. At the moment their restaurant is being refurbished so breakfast (included in room price) is in the reception foyer. The wifi was poor. I managed to get on it with one device when I arrived (about 3pm) but later in the evening could not get on at all. The venue is walkable into the town centre with a lot of choices for evening meals.

The hotel is easy to find, and there's plenty of off-road parking. The staff were helpful and polite. The hotel though is kind of dilapidated and due a makeover - but the rooms and bedding were clean, there was a generous kettle and tea/coffee supply, large mugs. The bathroom well lit and a had good shower. The room was reasonably quiet, and the TV worked (most of the time). Breakfast was a Bacon Butty, or a few cellophane packed items, but unlimited and practical. I would stay there again as it was a bargain price and nothing was wrong/offensive, just a bit run down. If it was all tip-top I would expect it would be more expensive, so it suited me on a low budget this trip.

Horrible old, dirty b&b. Staff was not helpful at all. Had top floor room where the ceiling and one wall was completely wet. The bathroom had mould all over the ceiling. Was offered other room, even there the ceiling was mouldy. All dirty and old. You could here all the other rooms clearly, very thin walls. The manager was laughing in the morning when I was trying to talk to him. Avoid at all cost!

Really poor, room was tiny with ta tiny tv propped up against the wall not even on a stand. Everything felt unclean, lampshade hanging off, blind had holes in it and bed not comfortable. The only good thing was how close it was to walk to town centre

Exceptionally clean, rooms perfect for short stay and for the money great value. It's an old building so you will get noise from other guests but nothing untoward. On site carpark, good coffee in the morning and a bacon roll included. What's not to like?

I was warmly greeted with a lovely smile by Lily. She was informative and clear with instructions. I saw Lily more than just at my check in and she was always the same, sweet and warm. Jariah - was funny and warm also. My room was clean-ish, here is a list of what needs to be updated and maintained Bins needs cleaning, Toilet brush was not clean, Very dusty behind the toilet, Dusty behind the furniture, Dusty skirting boards, Loose door handle, Need more handing space and hangers for clothes, Cracks in some of the ceiling, spiderwebs and a little mold. The duvet had stains on it after I stripped the bed for the sheets to be washed. I would stay again but i would definitely need these things to be changed for my rating to go up.

The bedroom window was cracked and mould around windows. Tv was very small. Hairs in the bed, Location was quite but you can hear all the other guest, breakfast was bizarre bacon rolls and a few pastries. Would not stay again.

The location is good and the staff are mostly lovely. Unfortunately, the rooms and property in general is incredibly outdated. Furniture was old and worn; the blinds didn't stay rolled up easily; and the lighting was dim giving the whole place a dull look. It was tidy and relatively clean, but when I walked around, my socks were dusty and a bit dirty afterwards. I had to clean the floor myself. Breakfast was a complete joke. Highly processed mini packet croissants; a few apples and oranges; a big tub of plain yoghurt; mini jams; tea and coffee and watered down juice. No cereal, no granola, nothing to have with the yogurt. No bread or toaster to at least have a very basic breakfast of toast. The juice and milk were in open jugs, so I saw small bits fall into the juice and didn't touch it. I ended up having to buy breakfast on pretty much all the days I stayed. Absolutely not worth the £250 for 4 days! Especially high price considering it's not peak season. Save your money or spend a bit more and stay elsewhere.

Perfect location, gentle walk into town, lots of restaurants to eat at within minutes. Room big enough and certainly warm, clean and presentable. The shower was amazingly powerful, and hot water didn't take an age to come through. Nice car park round the back, with on street if that was full. For what we required is fitted the bill exactly.

The Abby if fine for contractors on a short stay. Hot shower, comfy beds and the TV works. Short walk into town for pubs and eats. But the hotel seems to be very noisy and you can hear above, below and to the sides whenever anybody walks around or opens draws etc.

The location of abbey lodge was great, only a few minutes walk into town. Handy for restaurants and shopping. It was a short drive to get to the rural areas which we enjoyed walking. We booked a twin room which was much bigger than the doubles we saw. It was bang for your buck!

This was my second time at this hotel. I stayed in June. This is a nice reasonable place for the price and location to London. You can tell the carpeting can use an upgrade. The breakfast was nice. What really made my stay and why I came back again was the staff. One night time desk employee by the name of John was a pleasure talking to. An afternoon employee with glasses and blond hair also helped me with getting a cab previously. It’s a good basic place and when I come back to England, I would stay here again.

Property was ok. Door was hard to open. The desk clerk was very helpful at check-in but her substitute was wearing headphones and always on the phone and speaking very loudly and we could hear him in our room which was about 20 feet from the check-in desk. Comfortable basic accommodation.. but very adequate for our one night stay Friendly welcome and easy check in.. free car park around the rear of the property.. The room contained everything we needed needed .. .. only draw back.. two single beds pushed together to make a double..my mattress was ok but the other was to soft and lumpy.. Room although clean and comfortable it would benefit from a little TLC but not complaining for the price Breakfast was included.. described as a grab and go..it was ideal and a great way to start the day I guess I would describe it as cheap and cheerful and great value for money

I was warmly greeted with a lovely smile by Lily. She was informative and clear with instructions. I saw Lily more than just at my check in and she was always the same, sweet and warm. Jariah - was funny and warm also. My room was clean-ish, here is a list of what needs to be updated and maintained Bins needs cleaning, Toilet brush was not clean, Very dusty behind the toilet, Dusty behind the furniture, Dusty skirting boards, Loose door handle, Need more handing space and hangers for clothes, Cracks in some of the ceiling, spiderwebs and a little mold. The duvet had stains on it after I stripped the bed for the sheets to be washed. I would stay again but i would definitely need these things to be changed for my rating to go up.

I arrived very late at night and the front door was locked. I am the bell which was prompted answered. The man who answered the door was not rude but was not at all friendly or welcoming. I was given my room key and directed to my room. My room itself was comfortable but very plain with no decoration and lots of dust on the surfaces. The blind at the window was dirty and stained and the room absolutely stunk of cigarettes. I am glad I only had to stay one night.

The room was cheap and adequate for the price. It was clean. It was handy there was a 24/7 reception and the station is close by. The restaurant was still undergoing refurbishment so if bacon butties are not your thing it would be a struggle. I also could have done with shampoo and done without a cleaner entering the room without warning at 8:20am. The main issue though was the lack of heating from the evening through to the following morning and that there was no hot water in the morning. The guy at reception was apologetic, was trying to get it fixed and offered a discount for my next stay. I suppose these things happen but it was minus three degrees and I entered up wearing two sweaters in bed, the duvet had to be doubled over and with a coat on top. Certainly memorable!

The location is great, the parking is good, the breakfast is lovely and the customer service is amazing. Lily at the reception was awesome. She gave us a welcoming experience that I never received elsewhere in hotels. However, in the corridors and rooms there is no any wow factor. The Owner should consider a bit of modernisation.

Really enjoyed the convenience of how close it was to the train station and Eden area that's where all the restaurants are... Walking distance to sights like the Wycombe Museum and also coffee shops down the road and eateries. Perhaps can variate the free breakfast daily as it got a bit boring after Day3. We stayed 6 nights so... It just got boring after a while. Upside although it is an old hotel with old furniture it was clean. Oh also the pillows were a bit too thin so we stacked it up to create a good height. It was a restful and quiet place to rest after a long day of walking around.

Needed a place for one night near to Heathrow. This did the trick! If you want to park in the free parking then make sure you're there before about 8pm, when we arrived it was full so we needed to find street parking.

Perfect location, gentle walk into town, lots of restaurants to eat at within minutes. Room big enough and certainly warm, clean and presentable. The shower was amazingly powerful, and hot water didn't take an age to come through. Nice car park round the back, with on street if that was full. For what we required is fitted the bill exactly.

The location of abbey lodge was great, only a few minutes walk into town. Handy for restaurants and shopping. It was a short drive to get to the rural areas which we enjoyed walking. We booked a twin room which was much bigger than the doubles we saw. It was bang for your buck!

Abbey Lodge is very much a budget hotel but for what it was in terms of the price we couldn't fault it. The staff were courteous and friendly. The room was very clean and we welcomed a full size bath as well as a shower. The breakfast was plentiful and met all our needs. We do normally book higher end hotels but this one is so near the railway station and only five minutes walk to the centre, which is what we were looking for on this occasion.

Breakfast appalling - would be better just having a coffee machine and letting guests bring own breakfast. It's like old tired and stained student accommodation. But it's reasonable cost and you just about get what you pay for. Forget previous posts about great breakfasts they no longer do them due to costs.

Exceptionally clean, rooms perfect for short stay and for the money great value. It's an old building so you will get noise from other guests but nothing untoward. On site carpark, good coffee in the morning and a bacon roll included. What's not to like?

Everything was quite ordinary. In view of the refurbishment claimed to be taken place, no restaurant service was provided. We were crumped into the sofas and a few high chairs with a small table in the lobby area to take breakfast. I do hope the restaurant will be completed next time I visit.

Stayed there 2 years ago, breakfast was excellent. This visit ended with a breakfast consisting of bread rolls and bacon ! What happened to the egg,sausages, black pudding and mushrooms etc, also no cereal. Will never stay there again !!

The location is good and the staff are mostly lovely. Unfortunately, the rooms and property in general is incredibly outdated. Furniture was old and worn; the blinds didn't stay rolled up easily; and the lighting was dim giving the whole place a dull look. It was tidy and relatively clean, but when I walked around, my socks were dusty and a bit dirty afterwards. I had to clean the floor myself. Breakfast was a complete joke. Highly processed mini packet croissants; a few apples and oranges; a big tub of plain yoghurt; mini jams; tea and coffee and watered down juice. No cereal, no granola, nothing to have with the yogurt. No bread or toaster to at least have a very basic breakfast of toast. The juice and milk were in open jugs, so I saw small bits fall into the juice and didn't touch it. I ended up having to buy breakfast on pretty much all the days I stayed. Absolutely not worth the £250 for 4 days! Especially high price considering it's not peak season. Save your money or spend a bit more and stay elsewhere.

For the price you pay don’t expect the Ritz. It was very basic and did the job as just an overnight stay.property was clean. External noise was atrocious with other hotel residents sitting on the benches outside the entrance, drinking, shouting, singing and swearing until early hours. There was also floodlights pointing up into the bedroom windows leaving the room in near daylight even with the thin roller blind drawn. Yes it’s cheap but a very poor nights sleep caused by factors well within the hotels control.

Yeah, I was a bit dirty when the shower was broke . I’ll stay at this hotel from a four years old enough working in London since I’ve changed management the Alto was declined. The breakfast is awful. Bacon wasn’t even cooked. I won’t be staying here again.
