The hotel is old and tired. Our room was pretty small. The soap dispenser for the shower was empty and the one for the sink the cover kept falling off. Reception was good and welcoming but we were disappointed to have to pay a £20 security deposit which was refunded later today as we left early. The most annoying charge though was £15 for our little dog. We could understand if a deposit was taken & refunded if the dog caused no problem, as in our case, but to charge that much for nothing is irritating. Most places we have stayed in recently do not charge for a small well behaved dog.

A short overnight stay after spending day at Ashford outlet nearby. Very reasonable price even though room were quite basic but decent TV, coffee and tea was useful. Feels like it's going under some sort of renovation Guy staff at reception was good Waterfront restaurant has decent food but could be pricey for some. Be prepared for the best lift I've experienced Went to Hythe local high street as nice breakfasts food places along there as well as some independent antique/charity shops. View from window for pebble beach at sunrise is a charm in itself

We booked it as it was dog friendly as it was. The bed was very comfortable and the facilitates adequate. The room only had very small windows so there was very little ventilation and it was very difficult to sleep. We found a fan which was of some help however, the dog did get stressed.

Dated building, noisy bar arear at reception. Staff ok. Lift is like the tower of terror. Room very dated but clean and a lovely view of the sea through the bird poo. Could hear the whole family next foor peeing and talking to each other at midnight.

Friendly staff but a very tired hotel in need of decoration. The room smelt stale, which made it unpleasant. We had the family room which was on two levels, with the bathroom on the upper level - this was actually dangerous as the door leading out of the bathroom led almost directly onto a staggered staircase so there was a real risk of stumbling down the stairs. The car park was full of rubbish and unsecured and my car was covered in a sticky liquid (probably lager) when we left in the morning.

We booked this hotel to be close to the leshuttle and were all so pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it was. Right on the beach, with the most incredible views. A fab beach bar restaurant just next door & a 10 minute drive to leshuttle. The hotel itself was clean, fresh and the staff absolutely wonderful. Great bar available with huge selection of wines & other drinks & lovely seating areas both inside and out. Great value for money too. Our room was spacious, very clean & had everything we needed. It was on 2 floors too so brilliant if you’re travelling with children & want separate spaces. It took a while for us to park but when we did it was just outside the hotel & completely free so cannot complain! This morning we walked 10 minutes down the seafront to a place called The Lazy Shack (as recommended by the hotel) for breakfast - absolutely superb 👌 Overall, absolutely superb experience. We’d definitely go back & can highly recommend.

Bed was comfortable, spacious and clean. Was close by the beach, literally a mins walk. Restaurant close by, there is Restaurant within the hotel. Staffs was very friendly n helpful. We will definitely be back again.

No sea view as such but very close to the beach. The hotel looked fine online and upon arrival, staff super friendly and welcoming… However, the room was exceptionally poor. Entrance was via the Indian restaurant…literally walking with my case between tables…not particularly appealing. The room was beyond tired.. almost dead. Carpet dirty and torn, curtains ripped and although a fan of shabby chic, this was only the former. Desk looked as if it had newly arrived from a skip. The bathroom looked clean but I did not try the taps etc. Bed linen looked acceptable but not keen on sleeping in the room. The aroma of damp caravan was very off putting. Incredibly disappointed and after 10 mins in the room, I left to stay at another hotel. It’s a shame, as staff very friendly and I felt terrible for leaving….I would strongly suggest avoiding this establishment.

Incredibly noisy room opposite a nightclub so couldn't open the window despite it being incredibly hot with no air-conditioning. Bed was small and uncomfortable. Peeling paint and exposed wiring. Decor and carpets etc look like they haven't been touched since the 1980's. At least the bed and toilet/shower seemed clean.

Located right on the beach. The hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment. The standard of the completed rooms is very good and highly recommended. The addition of a fridge in the rooms would be handy.

We asked for a quiet room with a sea view but the first room was clearly not going to be quiet so we were given another room which was perfect. It had a huge picture window with great views of the sea. The room was newly decorated, comfortable bed but tired furniture.

It is a good place, the rooms have recently been renewed and the service is nice. The soundproofing isn't the best but we had a nice stay regardless. The staff was excellent.

Hotel was very good in general, staff were nice and location on the beach is lovely. Only downside was no air conditioning in the room, which was stifling. Area is quiet, but with very in the way of restaurants etc.

The hotel is small, but it has a big heart! All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. It seems the property is undergoing some renovation and refurbishment but this did not hinder our stay at all. Bear in mind it is an old building and the rooms are quite small. However, our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was clean and had good water pressure. At the time of our stay there was no breakfast service but this was not an issue because across the street is the Waterfront Restaurant and about 5mins walk away there is a lovely little cafe serving delicious breakfasts and a range of coffees etc. We would highly recommend this lovely, friendly little hotel and will definitely stay here next time we are in Hythe.

From the moment we were checking in, to the moment we left the Hotel, we were greeted by friendly helpful staff and they were pleased to help with all our requests. The location is fantastic and the views are AMAZING! We had a sea view room and I'm so glad that we did as you can just lose yourself watching the world go by on the street and beach below. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and if the beach isn't your thing then it's lovely to just sit and relax, or hire a rowing boat along the canal. We had a wonderful short break staying here and will certainly look forward to returning in the future.

It was fine, our only issue is with the communication, we informed them we were bringing a dog (we didn't in the end, because only my wife went) and never heard anything back. When my wife arrived she was informed she would have been charged an extra £15 if the dog had been there - this is fine, but why was I never told that? She also had to pay a £20 deposit, again I don't see anywhere that told me this would be the case. And also a 1p charge because Expedia don't take the full cost??? I've never heard of this before. However, the room was comfortable and clean and the staff were very good.

Firstly I’ve never ever had to hand over a security deposit of £30 ever. The toilet in my room did not flush and the shower head fell off under water pressure each time it was used. I was lied to when I was told all had been fixed when I returned to my room in the evening. So I had no toilet and a shower that required holding onto when it was being used. Appalling

This is a great hotel to stay in. Right on the beach, parking, lovely staff and clean rooms. As an added bonus we had a fab seaview too. Sue who works on Reception could not have been more helpful and friendly. Great value, great service, great location, great hotel

Really friendly welcome at reception and we quickly got our keys for two twin rooms. The rooms were fine, clean and comfortable. We used the hotel to stay overnight before a Channel Tunnel crossing which was just 10 minutes away. It was the cheapest hotel that I could find in the area and exceeded my expectations. The decor was improved from the hotel's appearance on Channel 4's "4 In A Bed" a few years previous. Slightly disappointed that they don't offer breakfast, but Gingers in Hythe was excellent.

Hotel was very good in general, staff were nice and location on the beach is lovely. Only downside was no air conditioning in the room, which was stifling. Area is quiet, but with very in the way of restaurants etc.

We booked this hotel to be close to the leshuttle and were all so pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it was. Right on the beach, with the most incredible views. A fab beach bar restaurant just next door & a 10 minute drive to leshuttle. The hotel itself was clean, fresh and the staff absolutely wonderful. Great bar available with huge selection of wines & other drinks & lovely seating areas both inside and out. Great value for money too. Our room was spacious, very clean & had everything we needed. It was on 2 floors too so brilliant if you’re travelling with children & want separate spaces. It took a while for us to park but when we did it was just outside the hotel & completely free so cannot complain! This morning we walked 10 minutes down the seafront to a place called The Lazy Shack (as recommended by the hotel) for breakfast - absolutely superb 👌 Overall, absolutely superb experience. We’d definitely go back & can highly recommend.

The hotel is small, but it has a big heart! All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. It seems the property is undergoing some renovation and refurbishment but this did not hinder our stay at all. Bear in mind it is an old building and the rooms are quite small. However, our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was clean and had good water pressure. At the time of our stay there was no breakfast service but this was not an issue because across the street is the Waterfront Restaurant and about 5mins walk away there is a lovely little cafe serving delicious breakfasts and a range of coffees etc. We would highly recommend this lovely, friendly little hotel and will definitely stay here next time we are in Hythe.

A short overnight stay after spending day at Ashford outlet nearby. Very reasonable price even though room were quite basic but decent TV, coffee and tea was useful. Feels like it's going under some sort of renovation Guy staff at reception was good Waterfront restaurant has decent food but could be pricey for some. Be prepared for the best lift I've experienced Went to Hythe local high street as nice breakfasts food places along there as well as some independent antique/charity shops. View from window for pebble beach at sunrise is a charm in itself

Bit of a mixed bag. The bed was a bit lumpy and uncomfortable and I didn't enjoy having to walk through the middle of the restaurant to get to my room. As others have said, it was hard to balance the hot/cold taps to get a consistent temperature for the shower. A very minor issue but it was surprising to see a portable table next to the pillow on the bed (and 2 pillows would have been nice), every time I turned over I could have bashed my head so the table was moved! BUT... the location was amazing, 1 minute from the promenade and with ample parking, the staff were friendly and can't really complain too much for the price paid. The room was adequate for a one night stopover but probably not for a longer period. Hope this helps.

The hotel is a bit tired but has a lot of possibilities. It wouldn’t take a lot to bring it up to scratch. There was no breakfast available 😢 but my room was clean, spacious and comfortable.

Lovely view and clean room. Radiator would not turn off which was not good during the current heat wave. You could not adjust the temperature of the shower and the pressure was barely enough to make it out of the shower head. There was no plug for the bath and the bathroom door could not be opened from inside. Some confusion at check in as they had initially given a twin room and I needed to prove that a double room was booked. Friendly staff.
