The hotel was perfect for a one night stopover on the way to Cardigan Bay. Hotel directions were very helpful & description was accurate. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome (including water & biscuits for our dog). We had our evening meal & breakfast with our dog in the very pleasant conservatory overlooking the terrace. The grounds around the hotel were great for a stroll (torch provided for night time walks), highly recommended.

This hotel is in an idyllic setting which is quite bucolic. The sheep graze on the hills in the distance and the magnificent garden is filled with healthy bunnies. Numerous walks around the hotel are inviting. The hotel itself is a brilliant manor house with strong solid bones, but she looks tired. We had the St David’s room and the furnishings were tired and the room musky until we aired it. There is a balance between an old building and its quirks, and a building needing some TLC. The public areas (bar and lounge) were elegantly furnished and filled with character. We hope this potentially gorgeous old building can be restored more closely to its former glory.

Positives: Nice spacious and clean room. great set of toilleteries, in room robes. Fantastic views of the property, Hreat to take a short stroll or wander into the countryside. excellent breakfast. very helpful and friendly staff. Negatives: Really Outdated decor. Property not well maintained. Carpets not cleant and smelt musty. Even entrance door mat dirty. Lift did not work for 2 people and we were on the 2nd floor Beds too soft.
