This is a really nice hotel. I booked it at short notice. The room was huge (208). Very comfortable bed and room was quiet. Fantastic pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and there is also an ice room (Brr, not for me). We decided to have an evening meal and both enjoyed it. I had the steak which was really nice. They do a sauce called Axle Jack. That is just out of this world. All in all very nice stay and a hotel thatbI would certainly go back to.

We had one of the best rooms in the place, so much space and a big comfortable bed. Air conditioning was helpful and great walk in shower. Staff were helpful but not overly smiley. Leisure facilities (pool, sauna, steam room etc) all excellent and modern.

This is a nice hotel with nice staff and a good spa gym however there is an obvious lack of maintenance. In my standard room, there was a plastic tub chair which had loads of patches of plastic missing some had fallen on the floor and had not been cleaned up. there was a bulb out in the ceiling light and the bedside light did not work. In the spa, the steam room was not working some of the functions in the outdoor spa pool did not work the clothes dryer spinners in the male and female changing rooms did not work some of the auto-locking lockers did not work.. I would stay here again but I would not have high expectations of a high-quality experience more of an OK experience. Breakfast was nice but the basics were not undertaken well such as cooking the eggs freshly they were overcooked and a bit rubbery and the bacon was nice but a bit hard.and over baked.. Overall this is quite a nice hotel.

The hotel offered good value for money with its affordable yet comfortable rooms. Especially good at spa and pool. Very good size pool. Staff super nice. Add on breakfast at £10/@ ; £6/kid. Very good deal, Food refill quick. Quite area . Plenty parking space on site

Spa area brilliant. Outdoor pool, great saunas and ice room. Main pool very large but you have to book a timed slot. Food is good quality and variety, very reasonable priced and kids menu also good. Better than expected for the price

Nice hotel at a fair price great breakfast pool and spa are very good but lacking maintenance in some areas not everything working as it should eg some spar pool features not working some electronic lockers not working (need battery replacement),spin costume dryer not working and has not been for my last 3 visits. Staff say replacement costume spin dryers are on order and have been for a long time with no date for replacement . Overall well worth a visit

The hotel was beautiful and the spa was great. The only downside was that the pool shut at 6pm on the Saturday and we had to get out after just 45 mins. It would be great if it could stay open a little later.

Very old bathroom furniture. Toilet didn’t flush properly, sink very slow draining. Furniture in room 102 was very dated & scuffed. Fire alarm went off 3 times midnight-3am-5:30. On checking out the receptionists said “oh sorry but you would want it to work if there was a fire “ There were 3 rooms checking out at the same time & we asked for compensation as we did not get much sleep…. No chance !!! She just said sorry !!!

Overall from the outside & grounds we were pleased with our choice. The inside was dated & quite tired. The bedroom was also tired, with a previous leak on the ceiling showing flaking paint & stain patches the bathroom is showing wear, dirt & appliance wear.

The staff and the grounds were lovley. Spa was excellent. The rooms in hotel however were probably worst Ive been in my whole life. Rooms appear to have been decorated around 30 years ago. Bathroom felt so dirty that it was hard to use. Insects were running around the bathroom. Inexcusable. If you cant keep a bedroom in hotel clean and modern its probably best to close it. Cleaners clearly did their best with what are very run down guest rooms. Its a shame as surroundings staff and spa were excellent.

Standard family room was below average condition for price paid, but the spa and pool made up for this. Breakfast we paid £10 pp but was average standard buffet with horrible coffee. Hotel grounds and hallways, spa and pool area were high standard. Room let down experience, ripped curtains, stained pillows, old dated furniture, no conditioner,, shower over bath and very narrow with little power.

We never normally comment but it was so bad we feel we had to. Very dirty room, dust, spiders, cobwebs, stained bedding, old broken furniture, poor old shower, toilet didnt flush properly, black mould around bath, cheap thin toilet paper, holes in wall, light bulbs not working. A thorough inspection by management is required followed by a deep clean.

Room was very spacious and clean. Very insulated and warm. The reception was stunning as we came in, the Christmas decorations are beautiful. The grounds are equally beautiful. Breakfast had a nice selection and staff were very friendly.

We sadly got a room that hadn’t been redecorated for about 50 years. It was unlike any photo on Expedia, so was misleading. We didn’t pay a lot of money for the room but it was still not good value for money nor looked like the photo I clicked when I booked. The bathroom was dated and there was mould with a funny old smell to it. The corridors and the rest of the property had been refurbished and are very good. I assume that many rooms have been refurbished and are to a good standard. The facilities and location are very good. Our room however was in a poor state and it wouldn’t take much to make better. When I arrived I had an online business call. The WiFi wasn’t good enough for a video call. My phone reception in the room wasn’t brilliant either. Having said all this, we didn’t pay loads for the room £88. Although probably only worth £60-£65 for the room we got. It did however do the job for 1 night.

The beds were extremely comfortably and the room huge, a little dated but clean. We found the staff friendly. The hotel was quiet for sleeping, the only negative was the tiny car park which was full on check in and then again when we returned at night. Huge ground so no idea why this can’t be extended. The grounds and golf course sounds excellent

The property is perfectly located for Cadwell park circuit with easy links to Louth for dinner etc. however the hotel is tired not all rooms have air conditioning or a fan to help. The water pressure in the shower is weak and makes it difficult to get all the soap off.

Fabulous overnight stay with my grandson, loved the room and pool. My only gripe was that although the food was exceptional when it did arrive, we had a very long wait for it, even though it was a late 8.30 pm booking and restaurant was empty apart from 2 other customers.

Check in was poor as couple of guys in front hadn’t been booked in for B&B so took a while to get sorted . Room 219 lovely nice size decorations fresh etc Problem came when I went to the bar for food ordered a pint and steak and chips was told they were full and go outside to podium to ask if they could fit me in !! There were 7 empty tables I spoke to restaurant manager who asked why I hadn’t booked?? Told me to take a seat and he would sort I sat for 20 minutes before I had to ask when? He has stood talking to staff and had seen me so soon wasn’t good enough. I left but called at reception asking why they didn’t notify me on check in you need to book - think the lady thought it was funny .

The facilities here are excellent the spa and gym area are fabulous, the rooms are starting to become tired. The rooms also have paper thin walls so if you're a light sleeper like me it's not ideal! When checking out in the morning there were no staff present so after 5 minutes left our room card and paper on the desk as we had already settled our bill. We found the same with staff disappearing for large periods from the bar in the previous evening, one poor lady stood over ten minutes and walked off. The restaurant staff were attentive.

The property & grounds were beautiful. There was a wedding on during our arrival, and as we entered the bar, we were in the middle of the guests gathering. Very unorganised and not a nice feeling - felt like we were interrupting a wedding instead of enjoying time away. The bar staff were rude, ignorant and stood talking about their personal life’s when people were stood waiting to be served. Breakfast, the food was lovely. However, again, the wedding party were mixed between a room, and the bar/conservatory room where the breakfast was served. Hearing them complain it wasn’t personal, again made us feel unwelcome and crashing the breakfast! This made us rush and want to leave to allow them to enjoy there morning after.

The grounds are lovely. The staff and food at the restaurant were excellent. Loved the pool, nice a warm. The spa area looked good but we didn’t try it as we had a child with us. The room was a let down. It’s very dated. The furniture looks like it’s from the 80’s the shower was incredibly old looking but was nice and powerful. There was a wedding going on in the function room and we couldn’t hear the music in our room which was great.

I have stayed at this resort many times and it always serves me well. Set in beautiful grounds on a lovely golf course with splendor of wildlife, landscape and flora, even the hardest to please couldn't crack a frown at this retreat. The building is charmed in character, the staff at utmost professional and efficient, the spa, pool and gym facilities are second to none. As for the rooms, they are spacious, nicely decorated and furnished to high standards with full AC and blacked out curtains, the restaurant is lovely and the bar and adjoining garden area where you can also eat is well manicured and has a fantastic vista. You will not be disappointed and the vfm is incredible.

Loved the spa facility. Ice room was ace. New refreshing experience. The water cannon was also a must for my stiff neck and although a buffet breakfast it was top drawer, love to just choose what you would like and eat. Set me up for the day.👏🐝

The rooms were excellent, beds and the amenities were great. The hotel reception staff were fantastic and very friendly. Only downsides were that the sink was clogging from the start in our en suite sink and the restaurant staff were rather rude. We went to the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the next day. During dinner we had the sit extremely long for our drinks and even longer for our food. The mocktails we were given were very small even though the staff blamed our long wait time on these mocktails! Breakfast isn’t worth the £10 as the food is stale and lukewarm.
