On the whole a very pleasant stay. Charming hotel, lovely staff, lovely pretty courtyard area to sit outside, great salsa band in the Saturday night in the outdoor area. Bfast was well stocked and good quality. The eating areas I. The pub were nicely decorated, modern with old charm and character. The only slight downside was that the room felt a bit dark and dated. We were slightly disappointed when we first walked in - I’m not really sure why because some of the fittings were quite modern (eg lights) but it was just a bit lack-lustre. The bathroom door looked very old fashioned and worn (I know this sounds picky), which made the quality of the room feel a bit lesser, HOWEVER, there were plenty of toiletries and nice quality refreshments in the room. The beds were clean and comfy and despite having single glazed windows, the room was very quiet which we really appreciated. It was a good visit and we’d stay again - the dated dark room was literally the only thing to criticise which didn’t spoil anything. Pub is in a great position in centre with other eateries and shops on doorstep. The food coming out to others looked lovely and they have a rustic outdoor pizza oven too, which was popular.

Beautiful property with so much going on, coffee and cake shop, quality restaurant, bars and lovely open space with Pizza oven and live music. The breakfast was amazing, great selections and service excellent. We went as a family of 4 adults and couldn’t fault it.

Lovely room - only didn't score higher for comfort as the pillows on the bed were as hard as rock. Everything spotless. Breakfast was fantastic, food was great. We felt like they could've done with a few more staff on to keep on top of things.

Had to request change of superior room (30). Excessive dust blatantly obvious on headboard & furniture edges. Even worse particularly dusty inside 4 drawer chest & wardrobe. Deep thorough clean needed. No WiFi available on 2 different manufacturers phones in this room.Moved away from the main building to anther building (Bewick) next to the MOT station & workshop on the grounds. Better room but some simple cleaning issues need addressing. WiFi good in this building. Don't expect a peaceful night's sleep. All the doors seem to slam shut with some very inconsiderate guests making little or no effort to close the doors quietly after 2359hrs. Staff were helpful, breakfast buffet excellent but Expedia write up for the superior room includes dressing gowns & slippers. This is not correct. Not Available staff informed us!

The rooms and hallways are in desperate need of a refurbishment. The rooms are not clean. Dirty and grimy television remote and the room in general appears to not be given a deep clean but only a superficial daily clean.

Great location in centre of Market Harborough. Comfortable, warm, clean bedroom. Nice meal in restaurant in evening and good breakfast in morning, would return again and use as base for visiting family.

Overall very pleasant. Excellent breakfast. Large comfortable bed, excellent shower. However , I do not like a shower over a bath. Room very hot, and pillows uncomfortable. Otherwise a good choice.

Nice hotel to stay in. However, the church across the road rings its bells every 15 minutes all through the night. The windows are single pane so very noisy especillaly combined with the traffic. Probably would not stay again on that basis.

Very comfortable room, decent size we upgraded to a premium room. Shower great, had to climb into bath -not so good but there were grab rails. Looks to be recently refurbished apart from tatty bathroom door which didn’t affect us Extractor fan not working in bathroom was the only thing but we didn’t find it a problem to us. Furniture a bit worn and tired in rooms again no huge problem. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was excellent. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant. Would have no hesitation in returning

Sadly very noisy people next door. You cd hear every word. Shouting above loud Abba music. Bedroom doors slam shut. Mattress sadly not very comfortable. Breakfast, sadly mushrooms cold. Told staff, never said a word. Just picked up dish, took to kitchen and replaced

In general we had a good stay, but breakfast was a bit chaotic. At 9:30 on Sunday morning the dining area was very busy. We did have a choice of tables, but most had not been cleared. It became evident that there was only one waitress in attendance and she was in great demand and rushed off her feet. In her haste to clear the table and reset it she forgot about the "tea or coffee?" question. We actually witnessed 4 members of staff - a male visited briefly from downstairs, a female visited from the kitchen to bring clean cutlery to the main area and a third appeared occasionally - she started cleaning the table next to us after we arrived, stopped halfway though leaving the cleaning spray on the table and returned about 30 minutes later to finish the job! I hope the young waitress who served us gets a pay rise - or a medal at least!

Very central. Excellent location. However, service was really poor . Three times approached the reception, and every time had to wait for the receptionists chatting with their colleagues. It mafw me feel as clients were not important or even welcome. Any given amswer was felt as the staff were doing me a favour rather than wishing to help the client. Incredibly disappointed. Never again!

We stayed one night. Quiet room so good nights sleep. Enjoyed a lovely meal in the bistro plus the breakfast. The staff were so helpful as I left my charger and cable behind when we left. They organised safe return which was brilliant and very much appreciated

Easy and efficient check-in. Friendly professional receptionist. Good sized rooms and well equipped. Only negative I can mention was our evening dining experience. Stood for at least 10 minutes waiting to be seated which was hard for my elderly father and as we were only people waiting. All young waiting and bar staff who seemed quite inexperienced. Poor knowledge of the menu, brought out the wrong wine . Were friendly and trying hard, maybe they were short staffed but food wasn't as good as expected for the prices they are charging. I was a chef for 20 years and was disappointed with the lamb. Quite chewy and vegetables were swimming in water. 75 quid for 2 mains and cheapest bottle of wine. Wouldn't go back for dinner but hotel was very good .

Great location in the middle of Market Harborough with parking. Despite being quite a big hotel it has a family feel with some charismatic staff. Overall would recommend as a largely well-run, no-frills hotel in a great location.

This Hotel was perfect for us. It's in the middle of the lovely town of Market Harborough. Lot's of places to eat, shops etc. Easy level walking. We will be returning.

Ideally located in the town centre near local amenities. Parking available but only a ten minute walk from the rail station. An old hotel with plenty of character, sloping floors in places. Rooftops view from my window but well appointed single room with the Roberts digital radio an excellent feature. Evening meal and breakfast both very good with poached eggs to order with the latter. All the staff I met were pleasant and helpful and I would definitely stay again!

This was a nice, quaint hotel, steeped in history. Our room in the conference centre was quite spacious, modern and clean, with what appeared to be a freshly renovated bathroom. Note that there is no air conditioning, so it may be uncomfortably warm in the summer months. The buffet breakfast was modest but decent, and the 2 dinners we enjoyed in the restaurant were excellent. Overall we had a lovely stay.

It was fine, though the room was a little fussy for my liking. Good location. Breakfast was chaos on Sunday morning and there was little food available (not the waiting staff’s fault, they were very apologetic). They watered the flowers above the windows early in the morning and that meant a wake up call of dripping sounds!
