A lovely B&B in the heart of the national park. Great location to access lots of hiking routes. Very clean room with new modern bathroom. Beautiful view from the windows. Parking spaces available. Very happy with breakfast selection and service. We would stay there again.

Fantastic location, plenty of parking, very attentive and lovely polite owner and staff,rooms were spotless and clean, lovely cooked breakfast, and the downstairs rooms being wheel chair accessable around the room, both sides of the bed and bathroom none of which was any trouble, would definitely visit again, thankyou for your warm welcome to you all.

Visiting Merthyr to visit friends our our way home from a road trip around England, Scotland & Wales. Large comfortable rooms, very friendly staff, great location. 200 year old house, well cared for, modernised and equipped to a very high standard. My Mother had poor mobility and was accommodated very well with a spacious ground floor room. Our room on the first floor was very comfortable too. Full size and very deep bath. Plenty of pillows and towels available, no need to ask for anything. Lovely communal areas if you wanted to sit with others. Breakfast was fantastic, plenty and good selection. Thank you Moira and your team.

Lovely accommodation, with friendly staff who were very polite and helpful. The room was very tidy and clean, the only con would be the mattress was slightly uncomfortable with old springs. We overlooked that as the property was perfect for us.

We liked the self in service, it allowed us to be flexible about arrival times & we could come & go as we wanted Room was a good size & clean. It had everything we needed Breakfast was cooked fresh & staff very friendly & helpful. Guesthouse was in a lovely quiet & pretty area We would definitely stay there again

this was our 4th visit to this B&B, sadly it was fully booked earlier in the year and we stayed at a Travelodge,( which we would rather not do again.) this B&B is always spotlessly clean ,staff are beyond lovely, we stay here to take the strain of family having to put us up when visiting .

Nice clean large room. The fridge was a big bonus. Excellent shower which was much appreciated after a long day walking. We were led to believe from the hotel.com web site that there is Wifi only in public areas but in fact there was wifi all over the the guest house including the rooms. And it was super fast wifi. I was able watched Netflix on my ipad and all the football matches I wanted to watch. Moyra (the owner), is a lovely friendly lady, as her staff. Breakfast was fabulous, continental and cooked what ever you choose or both. We will definitely come back as we have few more walks to complete in the area. Thank you Moyra for a lovley weekend. Day before had phone call from owner informing me that the room we were allocated has a toilet problem and we might have to be re allocated a downstairs room if the problem not sorted, luckily it was. Shower and sink in room kept loosing water and were not warm. Mentioned to owner the following morning and was told they would be sorted. Arrived back after day out to a written note on how to keep water running and warm, but it still wasn’t warm and was water was stopping mid use. Mentioned again at breakfast to owner for any other guests. Owner mentioned that staff levels were down. Breakfast was really nice and fulfilling, staff were very friendly and chatty.

Reviewed bearing the price point in mind. Likes: This located very close to the Brecon peaks including Pen Y Fan, so it's an ideal hikers stopover. More than adequate rooms including fridge, hairdryer and ironing board plus good storage and a bath for a soak after your day's walking. Friendly staff. Dislikes: Old building so condensation is an issue (in our room 3 at least). The Internet was down when we arrived, due to a road accident the night before. Admittedly this was not the fault of the B&B but, as neither of us had mobile signal, this made planning our next day impossible. This is pretty trivial for most people but, if the proprietor had informed us we could have chosen to stay elsewhere and avoid not having one of the amenities that we paid for. Business travellers rely on hotel Internet access, so this could have been critical.

Everything that was said on the comments was true owner couldn’t do more for us, extremely helpful service very good, rooms were good and spacious, with a good knowledge of the area we saw what we went to see. Excellent recommendation.

A lovely old-fashioned hotel in a stunning setting. Comfortable, clean, cozy. On arrival we were surprised to find nobody there even though we'd waited for reception opening time. Our keys were in a plastic bag pinned to a cork board. Explanations were confusing. Breakfast was an epic adventure. The gas stove had broken down and a tremendous effort was made by staff to provide us with a very good Welsh breakfast that was well worth waiting nearly an hour for. The lady who waited on us was very friendly and, at our request, talked about the region and how to get to our next destination. I'd like to thank her for all her kindness. I was a little sad to hear the owner, I presume, telling her off for spending so much time talking. We really think this personal touch by staff is what distinguishes a good guest house like 'Llwyn Onn' from bland uninteresting hotels. Please don t discourage your staff from being so welcoming.

Easy check in—keys and instructions left for me, so since I arrived before the office opened, I could let myself in and settle in. The location, on a loop road just off the main road, is quiet and safe from traffic, and affords lovely views toward the Llwyn On reservoir, a short walk away, and along the ridge behind the house. Easy access to trails, and by car or bus to places further away (Brecon, notably). There's a bus stop right at the road. Classic and generous breakfast options (incl. vegan). Very comfy bed, nice bathroom, and everything one needs en suite for tea or coffee, and biscuits. Moyra and the staff were delightful, ready to help as needed.

Nice clean large room. The fridge was a big bonus. Excellent shower which was much appreciated after a long day walking. We were led to believe from the hotel.com web site that there is Wifi only in public areas but in fact there was wifi all over the the guest house including the rooms. And it was super fast wifi. I was able watched Netflix on my ipad and all the football matches I wanted to watch. Moyra (the owner), is a lovely friendly lady, as her staff. Breakfast was fabulous, continental and cooked what ever you choose or both. We will definitely come back as we have few more walks to complete in the area. Thank you Moyra for a lovley weekend. Great location. Check- in was really easy. Room was spacious, clean and all requirements were catered for. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Staff could not do enough for you. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic location, plenty of parking, very attentive and lovely polite owner and staff,rooms were spotless and clean, lovely cooked breakfast, and the downstairs rooms being wheel chair accessable around the room, both sides of the bed and bathroom none of which was any trouble, would definitely visit again, thankyou for your warm welcome to you all.

We liked the self in service, it allowed us to be flexible about arrival times & we could come & go as we wanted Room was a good size & clean. Reviewed bearing the price point in mind. Likes: This located very close to the Brecon peaks including Pen Y Fan, so it's an ideal hikers stopover. More than adequate rooms including fridge, hairdryer and ironing board plus good storage and a bath for a soak after your day's walking. Friendly staff. Dislikes: Old building so condensation is an issue (in our room 3 at least). The Internet was down when we arrived, due to a road accident the night before. Admittedly this was not the fault of the B&B but, as neither of us had mobile signal, this made planning our next day impossible. This is pretty trivial for most people but, if the proprietor had informed us we could have chosen to stay elsewhere and avoid not having one of the amenities that we paid for. Business travellers rely on hotel Internet access, so this could have been critical.

The location, on a loop road just off the main road, is quiet and safe from traffic, and affords lovely views toward the Llwyn On reservoir, a short walk away, and along the ridge behind the house. Easy access to trails, and by car or bus to places further away (Brecon, notably). There's a bus stop right at the road. Classic and generous breakfast options (incl. vegan). Great stay - property was easy to find and very private, room was very comfortable and breakfast cooked to order as well as cold buffet was generous and delicious. We stayed here before riding the Brecon Beacons Railway and enjoyed a quiet evening and warm hospitality of our hostess.

A lovely old-fashioned hotel in a stunning setting. Comfortable, clean, cozy. On arrival we were surprised to find nobody there even though we'd waited for reception opening time. Our keys were in a plastic bag pinned to a cork board. Explanations were confusing. Breakfast was an epic adventure. The gas stove had broken down and a tremendous effort was made by staff to provide us with a very good Welsh breakfast that was well worth waiting nearly an hour for. The lady who waited on us was very friendly and, at our request, talked about the region and how to get to our next destination. I'd like to thank her for all her kindness. I was a little sad to hear the owner, I presume, telling her off for spending so much time talking. We really think this personal touch by staff is what distinguishes a good guest house like 'Llwyn Onn' from bland uninteresting hotels. Please don t discourage your staff from being so welcoming.
