A cosy hotel with accommodating staff. Safe and free parking. Nice bar and a beautiful outdoor area - it’s biggest plus! Breakfast looked lovely and the cooked English breakfast was very good. However, gluten free options were limited so if you have dietary needs I would check in advance how they will cater for this.

Staff were all superb, extremely friendly, fun and polite. Communal areas are beautifully decorated and air conditioned which was a god send in the heat last weekend. Bedroom was well equipped but Room 100 doesn’t have a view (apart from over a roof and air conditioning units ) and the positioning near the air con units made it extremely hot. Would be a help for the bathroom window to be able to open to allow ventilation. There are no lifts at the hotel which needs to be taken into consideration if you have health issues. The grounds of the hotel are very nice with outside seating and there was an outdoor screen for the Wimbledon final which was a nice touch. Good selection on the evening menu but sadly the food wasn’t great. Excellent breakfast and choice. Hotel has ample parking but limited disabled spaces.

I'd booked a superior family room, which was tastefully decorated and included all the things you would expect to see in a good hotel room. The only drawback was it was on the 2nd floor at the top of the hotel, but doesn't diminish how pleased I was with the room. The room overlooked the street and faced the church, so being higher up probably meant it was a bit quieter. Street noise wasn't an issue. Luxury toiletries in the bathroom too. Good size car park to the rear which seemed popular with those using the gym at the back. Nice garden/bowling green area to sit out in if needed. Staff friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait to stay with this chain of hotels again! (PS British Ironworks sculpture park only 3 miles away - good for families)

Rooms serviced daily. Nice tea and coffee tray in room. Big comfy bed. Room clean and fresh. Wilsons coffee shop a convenient location to meet friends. Friendly helpful staff.

We didn't have breakfast, so can't comment, but the bar meals and the Sunday Roast were good - very generous quantities. The real ale price was fine, though they had limited choice; didn't buy any other drinks, though we shared what seemed to be a perfectly good red wine.There seemed to be a good spirits collection, including locally-produced ones. There were issues with charging to the room because we were booked through Hotels.com. We had to request this service twice before it was provided. Location and car-parking facilities were fine and the room was quiet. No lifts - so if you need help, you'll need to ask.

The property in the main public areas are good, restaurant is good too but the rooms are poor and very dated. They are not cleaned properly with stains on the carpet and mold in the bathrooms. This is the second time we have stayed here and tried to give them a second chance. The restaurant is four star but not the rooms.

Room felt more like a suite. The place was spotless, bathroom was really nice. Beautiful view of a nice church out of sash windows. The bed itself was really comfortable. The breakfast was really good too. Definitely would be somewhere i would recommend from my experience.

Stayed for 3 nights. The room was a little smaller than in most modern hotels but the shower room was excellent, well equipped and stylish. Nespresso coffee machine in the room... no fridge. Welcoming and helpful reception staff. Service in the restaurant was mixed - just not quite as attentive as it might have been. The food was good but unadventurous, and reasonably priced. Overall we were satisfied and would stay there again.

My only comment would be that i ordered food qnd drink to be delivered to my room for a set time and it never occurred. That said the staff couldnt have been nicer ir more helpfull would highly recommend staying there.

The staff are exceptional, and go above and beyond to ensure that guests are well looked after. We needed to leave before breakfast, but they were willing to prepare something, and did this with a smile.

The hotel is a stylishly furnished coaching inn with a comfortable bar and restaurant. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The hotel is in the middle of Oswestry with easy access to the surrounding countryside.
