Really nice pub in busy area with doorway to rooms at back, rooms surprisingly not loud and comfortable but ageing and ok, generally clean but don't look behind the cabinets or in all the corners. Very handy for the football or a night out and plenty of convenient bits nearby.

The property was good for what it was: a 3-star hotel. The good: the bed was clean and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the dinner I had there my first night was tasty. They were able to provide me with a fan (was there during a hot time), and the ability to park on-site was terrific. The not-so-good: The room was small and not clean--dust in the corners, nightstand was sticky around the edges. There were no outlets by the bedside (moved the nightstand to check and found the sticky) and only one outlet that could reasonably be used for charging. The bathroom is outdated: dual taps in the sink with a dodgy stopper, poor lighting, tub grout mouldy. The window didn't stay open--I ended up wedging a tea spoon in the sill to get airflow. I'm in Wrecsam often and will probably stay again. Just know what to expect going in.

Overnight stop on way home from Ireland. City centre pub with pleasant staff. The place needs a refurbishment. In the bar some of the seats are worn and torn. Carpet throughout was showing signs of wear. Food was very good but there was no real ale which for a Marston's pub was sinful

We arrived at the hotel which had free parking which was probably about the best thing about the stay, upon arrival we was greeted as the receptionist was on the phone at the desk sorting job interviews out a task I think should be done in the back room out of guest sight as we was left stood round while he sorted that out. Check in was fast we was a family of 4 for one night we grabbed our bags and headed to the room to be greeted by the smell of curry and only having 1 double bed in the room set up for us, with this we went down asked for the room to be set up for us properly and we headed to the bar for some food and a drink which was pleasant. After food we went back to the room and had baths/showers we had only one towel between 4 of you and only half of roll of toilet roll the bath room is very very run down the plug was tied up with a bobble so you could pull it out of the bath it wasn’t very nice. The best thing I’d say about the stay was the bed was comfy. TV had 3 decent Chanel’s on aswell. I don’t think I’d stay again.

Easy access, with parking. Polite and helpful staff. Good value for money. Would book again. What I did not like was central Wrexham on a bank holiday Saturday, cup final day. The whole of Wrexham was drunk... but not the staff. It was a laugh.

Nearby area is run down, few services, and rather vacant. There is a Turkish themed restaurant just up the street which is about it for evening dinner. Breakfast at the hotel itself was very good. Free parking.

Very conveniently sited in the heart of Wrexham, which made my days out by bus/train easy and convenient. The room itself was clean and tidy, and surprisingly quiet for a town centre location. I had the hotel breakfast on one of my mornings there, and this was of good quality and reasonably priced. Dissapointingly for a Marstons Brewery owned hotel, none of their real ales appeared to be available at the hotel bar.

The pictures of the hotel show a refurbished building at the front, unfortunately the hotel reception (24Hrs) is at the back, there's a car park with a couple of charge points. The hotel is typical 1980's hotel and doesn't look like its been refurbed since, all as clean as the tired decor allowed, beds notably comfortable, shower odd and noisy but functional until water pressure dropped (2nd floor room). Rooms not air-conditioned but large fan provided. Basic accommodation for a basic price with a comfy bed, right in the middle of Wrexham.

The hotel is in a central position and has free parking. The staff were friendly and the towels were soft and white. My room needed refurbishing. The water pressure was poor to the toilet ,shower and basin. The cold tap lid kept. Coming off and was filthy underneath The carpet was stained and the WiFi did not work in my room and this was after help from staff. There was a very noisy fan next to the room( outside) but this went off at 9.30pm after querying this after a poor first night`s sleep. The curtains in the room were hanging off the rail which also led to poor sleep on the first night but was fixed for the second night`s sleep. Staff apologised but the manager said that it is an old building so there will be issues. This is not an acceptable argument especially considering the cost of the stay.

Absolutely awful. Dirty, hula hoops on the floor, empty milk sachets. Stain on the sheets. Dust everywhere. Fan thick with dust. Pipe all around the room looked like a jail cell and so did the toilet. Stains all over the bathroom. Headboard was smashed. Window wouldn't stay open properly and there was even a moth on the wedding dress in reception.

Room was grubby, hadn't been hoovered. Bits of food had collected around skirting. Silverfish in bath. As THE central hotel in Wrexham it should aspire to be the best, but frankly was more like a doss house.

When we arrived our room was dirty, the bed had been slept in and not made. There was food in the room, beer in the room. The bathroom was filthy with dirty towels on the floor and hanging on the door!! The windows were also covered on bird droppings ☹️ They changed our room which was better however very basic for the price. Staff were lovely and couldn’t fault them at all. Would I stay again, definitely not I’m afraid. Food was also quite nice.

I had to check out early, but probably would have anyway. The bed was uncomfortable, there was a giant fan outside, right next to my room, that would go on. You could hear regular conversations on the street with the window closed. The tub had mildew around it, near the toilet was not clean. They need to overhaul the rooms. The staff were super friendly.

Because there isn't any A/C we needed to leave the window open and we were facing the parking lot where lots of people congregated to talk & smoke late in the evening. So, it was hard getting sleep with the noise & being warm. The reception manager was super helpful but the fan that she found was broken and she couldn't locate an operational one. The parking lot was nearly impossible to find since it wasn't marked well and they were working on the road in front of the hotel.

Good location but sorely In need of updating and investment. Room faced the front of the building and there was a lot of street noise late into the night. Waited for 8-10 minutes before anyone came to the front desk, mid day. Even after ringing the bell. Cute town. Very fun watching a Wrexham match!

A bit too run-down now. Windows facing street are old and not-at-all sound insulated. Bit of a problem when the mainstreet karaoke bar is just outside. Old carpet and bath. Time to renovate. Otherwise helpful and friendly staff.

When we arrived the staff were very friendly, we had already checked in online but were informed the system was new and they were just getting used to it. No problems with the check in process and we were up in our room very swiftly with great instructions from the staff. Got into our room to realise that only 2 of the 3 required beds had been assembled and made up. I went down to reception to inform them of this and they said they would send someone up whilst we were out getting something to eat. We arrived back 2 hours later to the bed still not being assembled and we had 2 kids who were ready for their beds. Another trip down to reception and they sent someone up within 5-10 minutes and she assembled the bed for us. We booked a family room, sadly this was situated at the front of the property. Not far from the entrance to the pub but also was very close to bars nearby. Unfortunately, the nearby bars were very noisy until about 3.30am which disrupted our sleep considerably. Apart from that, the room was as expected for the price. No concerns really. Not sure if there are any other family rooms in the hotel but surely these would be better in the quieter rooms at the back over the hotel.

The hotel seemed very short staffed, the receptionist was working in the bar as well. Had to wait 10 minutes until somebody came. Queued at the bar for 15 minutes to be served and waited 45 minutes for our food to come, which however was very nice. The room was comfortable and clean and a great location in the town centre. Great to have free parking. Perfectly nice for the money.

Queued at the bar for 15 minutes to be served and waited 45 minutes for our food to come, which however was very nice. The room was comfortable and clean and a great location in the town centre. Great to have free parking. Perfectly nice for the money.

I had a pleasant stay at the Wynnstay. The staff were friendly & very helpful. Although it was a weekend stay in a town centre hotel, it was relatively quiet. My room looked to be recently redecorated and on the whole looked quite good. However there were certain things that let it down, such as the very bad patch of peeling plaster & also a repair had been made to the lock of the door but not very professional. As it looked as if someone had tried to break in & the wood surrounding the lock was all splintered But overall this did not detract from my enjoyable stay. .

Fab stay and the south wailian man from Aberdare who checked us in and served us behind the bar was very friendly and helpful. Everything was great and free parking too. Food was ok for what you pay for!

So when I arrived at the hotel I was told that they didn’t get my confirmation. Expedia was suppose to send me an email of a cancellation of my booking according to the staff members of this hotel due to another company booking the entire hotel for there festival that I was apart of. I booked the hotel in February for May. They told me I should have received the email in March. Never received it however I got this email to highlight how was my stay. The staff members did what they could especially since I’ve traveled over 16hrs from flying out of LAX and getting to Wrexham. I was asked to leave the hotel the following day and had to find another hotel to stay at. So it was terrible from that aspect because I had to find somewhere else to stay last minute because of miscommunication between the hotel and Expedia.

Property was located right in the heart of Wrexham, with easy/convenient walk from the train station. Numerous bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Staff was extremely friendly on check-in. Room and bed were very comfortable for my two night stay. Bathroom fixtures were a little dated, however, everything was very clean and worked perfectly. Didn’t get a chance to enjoy the bar/restaurant but looked like a nice place. Wonderful hotel, especially for the price. Won’t hesitate to stay here again next time we’re in town.

The property was good for what it was: a 3-star hotel. The good: the bed was clean and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the dinner I had there my first night was tasty. They were able to provide me with a fan (was there during a hot time), and the ability to park on-site was terrific. The not-so-good: The room was small and not clean--dust in the corners, nightstand was sticky around the edges. There were no outlets by the bedside (moved the nightstand to check and found the sticky) and only one outlet that could reasonably be used for charging. The bathroom is outdated: dual taps in the sink with a dodgy stopper, poor lighting, tub grout mouldy. The window didn't stay open--I ended up wedging a tea spoon in the sill to get airflow. I'm in Wrecsam often and will probably stay again. Just know what to expect going in.

Insufficient staff at breakfast. Ran out of too many breakfast items. The room was awful. The shower wouldn’t adjust temperature so it was too hot to use. Room was too hot and unable to open the window. The whole property needs upgrading.

Very conveniently sited in the heart of Wrexham, which made my days out by bus/train easy and convenient. The room itself was clean and tidy, and surprisingly quiet for a town centre location. I had the hotel breakfast on one of my mornings there, and this was of good quality and reasonably priced. Dissapointingly for a Marstons Brewery owned hotel, none of their real ales appeared to be available at the hotel bar.
