The Lemon Tree

Very nice hotel just outside the town. Our room on the ground floor was quite small but with everything you would need. The bathroom was tiny and did require some tlc around the shower area. We had breakfast there which was excellent. Good fresh food and very well cooked. Has parking but the spaces were a little challenging! Would recommend.

Hotel and food lovely. Bit nervous parking as had to get through tight space for carpark. So maybe do something about this as cars getting bigger.

A nice hotel close to the center of Wrexham, friendly and helpful staff and a handy free car park although tricky parking. I liked my room in the older part of the hotel, a bit creaky but fine. The room was clean comfortable but I’d say the highlight is the bar/restaurant and the food is really exceptional for the area. I enjoyed some really nice food, lovely presentation, relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Hotel clean and freindly staff, check in was good and room a good size, parking was a bit if an issue though, have to sqeeze through a car width gap, but ample available

This is an old property that doesn’t have an elevator for some rooms… the stairs were challenging.

Nice hotel- parking is not great- have to squeeze car through narrow entry.

Arrived way early, checked at reception and room was available, very friendly, room clean. Parking available, not to far to walk to town centre - 9 minutes walk.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lemon Tree. It is beautifully renovated and staff were attentive. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Room was small and required stairs so may not be for everyone. And parking can be a bit tight but it is free and plentiful. Able to walk to Racecourse Grounds within 15 minutes , a huge plus.

Stayed because it was totally dog friendly. Great to have the park nearby for the dogs too.

Very poor water pressure in shower. Limited parking

Having lovely polite staff, the food was excellent and the room was spotless. Nothing was too much trouble and the dog was treated to a sausage for breakfast. The whole place was amazing and wish you all a Happy New Year and all the best for 2026 x

Place was clean but that's about it, door lock broken on arrival, poor repair quickly made by reception staff. Shower hanging off the wall, unable to shower properly. Basic maintenance desperately required.

The reason for my low star rating was because my bed had fleas!!!! I’m still dealing with all the bites from them. Carpet was very dirty as well.

Room was clean and welcoming. A staff person tidied up the room daily and restocked the tea, cream, etc and they even took the time to stage some of my daughter’s stuffed animals which was cute. Walls were a little thin but other travellers were fairly quiet. microwave was convenient.Would strongly recommend this inn to others.

The staff were lovely and the restaurant is nice, but the bathroom attached to my room smelled terrible due black mould. If this was dealt with then it would be a pleasant stay.

Quick and easy check in and check out. Had it's own parking which was a bonus. Room was very clean and had all the amenities we required.

All the team are good guys. Stayed a few times but each time does get worse. Staff on reception good. Breakfast team are good apart from expected sourdough bacon roll and had brioche, sesame bun which was weird. Generally been ok but tiring a little. Lots of dust in room, remote dirty, kettle wouldn’t use and cobwebs. Shower mould not looking good around seals. Needs some tlc.

Very clean room and in room facilities. Bar was well stocked. Lovely welcome when checking in. Close to town and amenities.

Stated here over Christmas when visiting Wrexham for the football, beautiful old building, breakfast was AMAZING I understand why people rave about the restaurant which we sadly didn't visit - only downside was our room was like a sauna even in December because it was a tiny room the radiators felt suffocating so we had to sleep with the window open (even my husband whose always cold complained it was to hot) but thankfully the hotel is on a quiet road

Staff very friendly and accommodating, didn’t eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on that. Close to the town centre, so handy location and ample parking. I was given a room towards the back of the hotel where I thought it would be quiet. Sadly I was wrong, what I assume is the extractor from the kitchen runs through a cupboard in the bathroom, very noisy. Disturbed me late afternoon and woke me at 06.30.

Nice, convenient room. Service in the hotel was great and staff very friendly. Bed and pillows weren't very comfortable but for the price it was definitely worth it.

Clean, comfortable room with good facilities, friendly staff and breakfast was lovely. Had no toiletries in my room when I checked in but that was remedied quickly! Unfortunately, my room was overlooking the back of the kitchen so there was a lot of noise and owing to the old building there wasn’t much soundproofing between rooms, I was woken quite early by staff arriving and the thin windows made it sound like they were in the room with me! Save for that, I had a nice stay and would be back (but might get a room on the other side!)

Lovely hotel, close walk to the Racecourse for the football game and train station. Only complaint…a lousy mattress…😟

ROOMS R U TOO SMALL.

The hotel was great for easy access to the centre of Wrexham. It was clean and well appointed. We had a room on the back and it was lovely and quiet. We found the room very warm.

Room 4 was very tiered and in need of updating and modernisation. The TV was one of the smallest I’ve ever seen - a little bigger than my iPad :0) The mattress on the bed always in desperate need of changing.

The property is located in an old building. Sound travels; we heard the music from the bar until 10pm. Our door lock to our room had been broken and it had not been properly fixed. The locks on the windows needed repair. Morning breakfast was excellent.

Pleasant staff. Room a bit tired. E.g light switch cracked, towel holder in bathroom broken, shower head loose and very standard furnishings. Restaurant being closed Mon, Tues and Weds a bit disappointing.

We were attending a wedding at Tower Hill Barns and found this hotel to be excellent. They organised the taxi for us to/from the venue at short notice and there were five of us in one large taxi. The hotel breakfast was excellent. The reception guys we dealt with were extremely helpful in everything we needed. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel but when we had the breakfast we wished we did! The only downside is the very narrow entrance to the hotel car park which was a very tight manoeuvre but one of us got out of the car to guide the car in.

The food in the restaurant was very good, but you had tonorder at least two courses which cost £32, which for the quality was reasonable. The bedroom was cold, with windows that did not shut properly and let cold air and noise in from the busy road. Sour faced staff served you and i was not asked if my stay was ok. Would i stay again, No.

Easy contactless late check in. Lovely breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Responsive to queries before booking.

Have stayed here multiple times. Quaint, comfortable, great restaurant, and extremely friendly/helpful staff. Nothing else in wrexham compares to the Lemon Tree!

Wonderful friendliness when checking in. Only issue was the slow service for dinner when we were trying to get to Wrexham FC match, but it was a misunderstanding ultimately, and it was made up with a free breakfast the next day. Lovely hotel.

I came to Wrexham to see two Wrexham AFC matches and bought five nights at the lemon tree unfortunately for me I got really sick the following day after check-in but the staff were excellent and move me to a quiet room out of the way so I could convalesce. Comfortable and all staff were very kind and helpful. I did manage to go to the restaurant the night before I left and have a meal which was very good and the restaurant itself is very nice. I did get to see both matches but I spent the rest of my time in bed. All in all not a bad place to convales.

My husband and I stayed at The Lemon Tree and it was the most amazing experience!! The building is so charming, our room was so cute with the special shaped window at the front of the building. Beds were super comfortable, the food was outstanding - we ate breakfast (the best Eggs Benedict) and dinner (local sourced steak with a fantastic smoky flavor)! Special shout out to James, Matt & Raffi as they took extra special care of us Americans!!! We came for a Wrexham FC match! We had a fantastic time! We will for sure stay here next time!!! A+++

What a gem of a hotel. Staff excellent great service during our stay well looked after

Nice location to the Wrexam FC stadium. The Lemon Tree restaurant was amazing! We decided to pay for the Valentine's Day tasting menu and it was really top notch food! Unfortunately, we just had one minor hitch on our trip when the lock on the door broke and we were not able to get out of our room the next morning. There were no telephones in the room, so we used our mobile phones to contact the hotel website number to report our predicament. We were told that they would contact the manager who was apparently not available on site. This could have been an extreme fire hazard at worst and a big inconvenience at best. When no one came to let us out after 15 minutes or so (and we had reservations downstairs for breakfast), my husband was able to use a spoon to jar the lock lose so that we could get out of the room. We went downstairs and reported the incidence at the restaurant because the manager had still not made it there. The restaurant staff felt very badly as they were not even aware that we were stuck in our room upstairs and gave us a complimentary breakfast, which was very nice. It all worked out in the end but I would say this restaurant/hotel needs to have staff on hand and phones in the room so that someone could be reached in such a situation in a timely manner.

Lemon tree is a great place to stay. Everything is within walking distance even the train station.

This property is centrally located in Wrexsam, yet was very quiet inside. Our room was spacious and well equipped.

I liked the proximity to the town centre, especially the bus station. I would have liked to have a full cooked English breakfast included in the price of staying.

This was a great boutique hotel with a nice bar and restaurant. It was an easy walk to the Wrexham AFC game and close to the center of town and the train station. It was spotlessly clean and we had coffee and tea service in the room.

Great service from start to finish, and would highly recommend. On the first night also dined in the Restaurant and both had an amazing meal and dessert and made the weekend really great.

The hotel rooms were good. Spacious and clean bathroom, adequate heating, a fridge in the room and soaps etc provided. The hotel restaurant was excellent. The food was fine-dining quality for a quarter of the fine-dining price tag.
