Very nice and modern hotel, super clean, well situated away from the busy downtown center. Easy 10 min. walk downhill to the Douro river and tram no.1 direct to downtown. Very easy and close access to city buses. Restaurants nearby, and some shops. Indoor pool (with a jetted section) and outdoor rooftop pool with bar are great, but can get very busy. Very nice included breakfast with excellent variety and choices. Ground floor restaurant and bar are nice and quiet. Staff extremely polite and very helpfull.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Everything is pretty close if not there is a taxi always waiting outside the hotel. Rooftop bar with pool is excellent and the indoor pool is great for a early morning swim. I highly recommend signing up for a message in the downstairs spa in the hotel best massage I have ever gotten. I got the hour stretch massage. Love that the restaurant was in the hotel and open late night.

Horrendous odour in the room moment we walked into our room. Maintenance showed up as soon as we were entering our room, once they realized it was our room, they said no problem, we can enter. We asked if anything was wrong, they said no. As soon as we entered it was difficult to breathe. I explained to the front desk. Told it will be looked at. I explained I wanted another room, that we can’t stay in there. Was told all rooms were booked. Then I said I am leaving. Once she realized I was serious, we were given another room. Very musty, no charging ports. View from our window were homeless encampments. I guess that puts thing in perspective? We shouldn’t be too picky, about these details????? Do not recommend.

From the greeting as we drove up, to the final farewell it was fantastic. The staff is so well trained and efficient. Most speak multiple languages, which made a difference for us. The valets/ bellmen/ general information gives were so wonderful. We ate the buffet breakfast as well as dining in the restaurant for a lunch and a dinner. Their chef is so creative with fresh and healthy food. I tried so many things I couldn't pronounce. The room we had was absolutely perfect for us. We needed to stretch out and were appreciative of the space. Upscale linens and the room was spotless. The glass enclosed marble show was beautiful and relaxing. We also loved the pool and the spa. Great Swedish massage one afternoon. Hope to return.

This must have been a very nice hotel once. It’s clean and spacious, it’s faraway from the city centre, but ok location. Staff are nice. However, the hotel is in urgent need of renovation, at least my room on the 12th floor. The bathroom was modern and spacious, but room furniture was literally falling apart. The air con was practically antique and the safe was TINY without room for a tablet or laptop. You can hear the people next door through paper-thin walls. Pool was small and very cold. It doubles as a bar so imposible to use after 6pm even though it closes at 8pm. Indoor pool very average. On the last day reception was calling at 10 mins past checkout time. Last time I experience that was in a shared youth hostel 15 years ago! This might have been clases as 5* one day but it isn’t now, not even a very good 4*. Breakfast was basic and very limited for vegetarians. It’s very expensive for what you get. It’s overall decent, but overpriced and not very comfy. I can’t recommend.

The staff was amazing, but the upgraded room on the 10th floor was extremely hot. Only one of the two windows opened and the ac unit didn't work. The bed was so hard, i thought it was the box spring. I chose this location because of the pool and jacuzzi, but the water in the jacuzzi was lukewarm. Same temperature as the pool. The breakfast was not good. Only meat options were pork which I don't eat. The fruit was pretty sour and lacked variety. The grounds and lobby are gorgeous and the location proximity is great.

The reason to book HF Ipanema park is that it is not in the city centre and that is has an outside pool. The problem is that by the outside pool they play ridiculously loud music. Which makes sense at night but not during the day. So the calmness you are looking for during the day with some music in the background ends up being so loud music that in hurts your ears. When we asked if they could lower the music they responded that they are not allowed from management. So I would never stay at this hotel again for this sole reason and if you are staying hear, bring good earplugs for the pool area. The music is also really bad background music that you hear in stores where you buy clothes but a lot louder. They also raise the music during the day in intervalls. Overall hotel. Not five stars even though measured in Portuguese measures. Very unhelpful personnel, except maybe in the restaurant. It seems that none who work there are happy with their place of work. Any question was met with short and ridiculed answers. I asked for conditioner for the hair and the response was ’no’ with a smirky smile like I was stupid. No I would not recommend this hotel. It needs a change in management. Rooms are clean according to Spanish/portugese standards. Gym area and inside pool nice. Breakfast with fresh fruits but not a wow moment.

Totally disappointedly with Hotel staff and reservations. We had an issue with one my kids passport when boarding from USA to Portugal and requested the hotel to allow us to reschedule. It took few days to get a response that they wouldn't allow. Definitively not recommending this hotel.

HF Ipanema Park is a beautiful hotel located about 15-20 min uber ride to Porto! This hotel is as amazing as it looks online! Very well kept, clean and up to date. I highly recommend this hotel. If you are thinking about paying extra for the breakfast, it is a must! Its a buffet style breakfast that offers anything from oatmeal, pancakes, fruit to bacon and eggs.They also have mimosas, coffee and fresh juices. Its delicious! We enjoyed the indoor pool which was a very nice way to end the day after a whole day walking. Every staff member we interacted with was very kind. Thank you so much for such a great stay!

The hotel was great, close to a couple supermarkets within walking distance and at about 10 minutes from the botanical garden. There is a bus stop within 2 minutes and if not raining, a nice walk to the central area of Porto. Breakfast was good with plenty of hot and cold options as well as beverages. We used the indoor pool quite a lot which was nice. The gym could be improved but not sure anyone books this hotel for it. Overall very clean and pleasant.

Not a great location for getting around as uber and bolt take a really long time to arrive there. Definitely would not consider this a 5 star hotel by any means.maybe 3 at best. For the price, i wouldn't say its worth it.

El hotel genial. Buen trato, buena instalaciones. En cuanto a la ubicación está en un barrio que debes de tener cuidado, nosotros fuimos a un Mercadona que hay muy cerca y se aprecia un barrio humilde con cierto sensación de peligrosidad. Pero en ningún momento nadie nos dijo nada. Para ir al centro taxi o Uber y problema solucionado. Recomiendo este hotel teniendo en cuenta las circunstancias del barrio.

If you are thinking about paying extra for the breakfast, it is a must! Wat wij jammer vonden, is dat er misleidende foto’s online staan over de sportschool. Deze leken heel groot alsof de zaal veel had, wat niet zo was. Het tweede punt wat we jammer vonden dat sommige medewerkers geen engels spraken. Hierdoor werd het lastig om elkaar te begrijpen. Er ontstonden miscommunicaties die totaal onnodig waren. Wij vinden het fijn als wij ons verstaanbaar kunnen maken. Wel vonden wij heel fijn hoe schoon de kamers werden schoongemaakt. Elke keer als wij terug kwamen werd er super goed schoongemaakt. Op die manier ervaarde je wel keer op keer een “nieuw” verblijf. Tot slot roomservice was goed geregeld. Je kon hier ook van alles bestellen voor goede prijzen en prima eten. Vriendelijk werd dit altijd afgehandeld.

Très bel établissement correspond bien à un 5 étoiles. Personnel accueillant, chaleureux, professionnel, disponible, de très bon conseil. La chambre est spacieuse, très propre, bien équipée.
