Great place in Porto, well located to city center, very well decorated, calm, and quiet. The rooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable. Very attentive personnel. Great Spa ! Very nice pool and outside garden. Did not try the restaurant but I am sure it’s very good, incredible breakfast buffet. Will definitely come back.

Top notch 5 star hotel. Rooms were super quiet even though you’re right in the middle of town. Beds were comfortable, pool was heated inside and outside, restaurant was delicious for breakfast and dinner……I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Careful parking on the street though, my car got impounded and it was $200 to get it back from the police. Pay the $30 per day and use the garage around the corner

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. The staff are outstanding just so friendly and knowledgeable about the area and happy to help with directions and recommendations whenever asked. Our room was large beautifully fitted and the marble bathroom and shower area equally impressive. Gorgeous shower gels etc liberally refilled when needed. The hotel is very well situated to explore all areas of Porto and approx 10-15 minutes downhill t the Ribiera which is so pretty. Ubers and taxis are easily accessible for trips back if you are tired or a little older like ourselves and not expensive. There is a bus stop right opposite the hotel and metro nearby. The breakfast room ( dining too) is lovely and a huge range of food provided it was a few dry every morning! The pool and spa is a welcome facility at the end of the day and a reasonable size for a city hotel. Unfortunately the old towels on chair problem was evident with sunbeds kept for 3 hours unoccupied on one occasion while we stayed. On discussion with staff they are going to address this so hopefully they can prevent this in the future. We would love to go back to Porto and would definitely choose this hotel again.

Very pleasant retreat. Located 15-20 mins from most touristy parts of city. Nice small pool outside with sauna and steam room. Gym is too small. Room was beautiful and clean. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast buffet was very delicious!

THE best hotel I have ever stayed in. The customer service was incredible. They called 30min before check in to see if I needed anything then proceeded to book our tours, dinner reservations and was so incredibly attentive throughout our stay. The hotel was clean and so comfortable. Another thing that stood out was that the owner was present, always seen in the lobby. What a great stay this was! Higly recommened.

The GA Palace is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are very clean and luxurious. All of the staff are very friendly and courteous. The restaurant is excellent and we even got to enjoy evening cocktails. The hotel is central to everything in Porto. The walk to Gaia was pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel

My husband and I stayed at GA Palace Hotel for 3 nights. Our room was spacious and elegantly decorated. It was on the first floor and facing the street. However, it was quiet and we were able to sleep through the night. We enjoyed the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in our room. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast had a variety of foods and was delicious. The hotel is located in the center of the Port historic area and within walking distance to most attractions. GA Palace Hotel is one of the best hotels we ever stayed at and we highly recommend to anyone who travels to Port.

Delightful hotel, very high quality rooms and super comfortable bed and linens. My only complaint is that there were no USB outlets in the room. There were 12 electrical outlets, surely in a 5 star hotel one of these could be changed to a USB port, it is 2024 after all!

The hotel is gorgeous, with wonderful facilities. The pool is heated and nice to swim in, the gym is clean and nice, and there is a dry and a steam sauna. The rooms are clean. It is walkable to main attractions. The concierge is extremely eager to help. The buffet breakfast is outstanding. The only issue was that more than half of the outlets in the room did not work and despite asking twice for them to be fixed, on two different days, they were not.

This hotel is spectacular. The staff are very attentive and were able to sort any problems we had. Wouldnt recomment room 405 as balcony view great but next to industrial air con unit. Next time I would chose balcony room floors 1-3 withview of garden and pool. Or other end of foor 4. The breakfasts are amazing, so much choice and Inyetta (sorry probably spelt wrong) and Emmanuella were welcoming, friendly and extra helpful. Didnt get the name of the lovely young man on the door who is very kind and helpful. We were there 8 nights and had a couple of issues that were sorted straight away. The location is vreat for access to everything. As with everywhere in Porto take comfy shoes and prepare to walk alot.

Stayed with another couple while visiting Porto, boo. Hotel is beautiful, decorated in light greens with gold accent colors. We were told it was a year and a half old when we checked in (May 2025). Beds were king size, very comfortable! IBathroom had a toilet and a bidet. Room had a terrace with chairs and a table to enjoy the outdoor view and fresh air which was great even on floor 1, which was one floor up from the lobby. We didn’t know how to operate the air conditioner thermostat on first night and finally called the front desk at 2:30 am. A man came up IMMEDIATELY to help us! This was so appreciated! We didn’t have the unit turned on, but the button was on the top and side, and we didn’t see it. Wr also had to call the desk about our tv, which is a mirror on the wall above the desk, and again, someone came up immediately and discovered a cable behind the tv/mirror had been disconnected. He took care of the problem- had to remove the entire mirror from the wall which was involved, without one compaint. The restaurant is beautiful and serves the breakfast and the dinner daily. It has beautiful green upholstered chairs. The food is excellent and we ate breakfast daily at the hotel and one dinner. Hands down the breakfast was spectacular with everything from fresh fruit, yogurt, cheeses, hams, smoothies, croissants and other breads, desserts, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. Concierge & bellman were fun and friendly, very helpful with local restaurants and recommendations.

The staff were exemplary. Valentin and the team went above and beyond to help and support us during the power outage- nothing was too much trouble. And thanks, too, to Antonio for allowing us to use his car to get to the airport amidst all the chaos. We have nothing but total praise, thanks and huge appreciation for everyone at the hotel and will be recommending others to come and experience that hospitality too. Thank you.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. The service by every single member of staff was exceptional. Genuinely could not do enough for you. From the wonderful lady who greeted us on check in ‘Enis’ We arrived late she rang the kitchen to stay open to get some foods and drinks. I recommend the 7 course tasting menu with wine every course better than the last. The room was spacious and comfortable. the spa was excellent and I had a beautiful treatment pool is small but perfectly adequate Everything about this hotel is top class. The owners obviously train their staff well. The breakfast was wonderful with a huge buffet selection and menu to order off. I can’t wait to visit again.

The hotel is beautiful. The Front Desk staff, concierge and Door Person were all super nice and helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff were not very friendly and some times down right snooty with the exception of Ricardo. Our room was beautiful and clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and will recommend the hotel. I was super impressed with how lovely all the flowers in the main lobby were and how clean everything was. Super comfy bed too. Nice spa area.

The room was well-appointed with a coffee maker, kettle, water, tea, milk for the coffee and tea, desk and chair. The shower was large with a great shower head. The bed was comfortable. We stayed here for 8 nights while we visited Porto. What an excellent choice! The breakfast buffet was top notch with great menu choices and buffet options. When we arrived, they still had the lobby decorated with Christmas decorations. It was very lovely. We had an early flight from Porto and they prepared a box breakfast for us. Honestly, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I would definitely stay here again! The staff were always very kind, accommodating (Victor at the front desk was helpful in securing a restaurant reservation for us), and welcoming. The spa area was really nice! I loved the sauna and pool, so relaxing after a day sightseeing and walking in Porto. The breakfast staff were always cordial and hospitable when we arrived for our breakfast each morning.

Very nice small luxury hotel, great breakfast, clean and modern interior and high end room design. Based in a convenient location but not in the middle of everything touristy (So expect a bit of walking or Bolts/Uber are cheap) but no problem for most as walking is part and parcel of a visit to Porto. Very nice staff that seem happy to be there, so all in all Very good indeed, would definitely stay there again !

Wonderful Porto city centre hotel one block from the world heritage site area and funicular to the quayside and bridge. Five star quality and facilities, great restaurant food and relaxed atmosphere in a stylish recently renovated lovely old building. The highlight though, are the staff. Just the right blend of present but not obtrusive, friendly and informative but not over the top. Really, really good!

It is a cute hotel and all the staffs were very friendly and attentive. We stayed in their prestige queen room, which was clean and a good size. We liked their breakfast but it can get crowded and the service was a little bit slow. Overall, it was a nice stay.

This was the best hotel!! The room was large and luxurious. The pool and spa was incredible and we wished we had booked a few more days to enjoy the hotel. Everyone at this hotel was warm and friendly. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous and the dinner that we had at Acqua, the restaurant hotel was the best meal we had in Portugal. It was so delicious that we had to meet the chef and thank her. Highly recommend!

Le spa est complet et d’une grande qualité, et le bâtiment lui-même est majestueux, et les chambre aussi Le personnel, dans l’ensemble, était très agréable et souriant, à l’exception de la jeune femme du service du petit-déjeuner, un peu moins accueillante. Le petit-déjeuner, quant à lui, était absolument majestueux, mais la carte du restaurant a laissé à désirer et ne correspondait pas au niveau attendu pour un tel établissement.

The breakfast menu was terrific. Saturday night dinner at the hotel, was terrible. It was recommended to us and we expected fine dining. The prices were find dining prices! We were very disappointed. The food we were served was not what we ordered; the chef never told the server that the food was changed. The table setting was incomplete and we had to ask for our wine, which sat on the bar for quite awhile. Terrible service. The hotel is wonderful. Great location, accomodating staff, good location. The bathrooms could benefit from having facecloths. I'd stay here again, but never, never, never eat at the restaurant.
