Love this place, Manager and staff are so friendly and nothing too much trouble. Really lovely old building spacious rooms and relaxing beer garden to enjoy sunshine in. Food was excellent and freshly prepared and cooked only down side same menu every night no specials or vegetables with main options.

Lovely inn to stay in with my two small dogs in way through to Devon - spacious immaculate room with separate bath and walk in shower, ample parking - soon to be hooked up for EV charging too! Friendly staff and good breakfast - what’s not to love!

The hotel is good with a warm welcoming staff.The choice of breakfast offered is excellent and much better than a 5-star hotel. The only complain is there was no internet in the rooms😳.

The place had literally changed management that day so unfortunately there was no cooked breakfast (only continental) until Sunday when the Chef would be in. Also the dinner menu was changed temporarily because of the sudden change in management. However, the new management and team were amazing in the service provided. Dinner was excellent and there was enough at breakfast for us to be satisfied. Rooms were spotless with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Hot powerful shower with shampoo, shower gel, soap, etc provided. Comfortable bed and pillows. Dog friendly too.

A pleasant one night stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was quaint and clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good. As it was an inn, there was some noise coming from the bar until late and our room was above a rest room with a hand dryer, but it wasn't a major problem for us.

The room was lovely, a huge en-suite with shower and a bath. Comfortable mattress, quality bedding and towels. We booked here because of the free parking and the full English breakfast included. However on arrival we read on the menu in our room that they only provide a continental breakfast. Apparently the new owners, although having reopened 4 months ago have not changed the wording of the breakfast on their site or that of all the other booking sites. So I was expecting bread rolls with a choice of ham and cheese, mixed fruit etc. but was underwhelmed at the offering which isn’t even continental….cereal, yoghurts and fruit juices. Although we were offered toast, hot drinks and croissants as well. Also they appear to be short staffed as the bar was often left unattended while the barman ran around waiting on tables as well. With a few tweaks this could be a great place to stay ie. more staff, especially on a Saturday evening and a cooked breakfast or at least honesty about the breakfast offering.

Fabulous stay during Glastonbury Festival. Martin and his team went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and ensure we had the best weekend. Endless cups of tea and delicious breakfast plus lots of local advice.

I had a lovely stay at Thatched Cottage and plan on returning the next time I go to Glastonbury! Martin especially — the general manager — went above and beyond to help me upon arrival.

The management and staff were very welcoming, the room was to a high standard of cleanliness, the bed was clean and comfortable. The only fault we could find was a limited menu and the non availability of a cooked breakfast. They have only recently taken over the establishment and have been left with a debt to pay from the previous proprietor. It is no longer a Green King, that was disappointing as I could of earn’t discount as a Blue light worker.

Somewhat chaotic and pretty rundown. Although the bedrooms were clean, they could have done with redecoration. Soap dispenser was almost empty and the loo seat was loose and had seen better days! The restaurant menu in the room bore no resemblance to what was actually on offer.The restaurant was also rundown and neglected

Safe parking. Excellent staff. Friendly and helpful. Menu is excellent and value for money. Beds comfortable and rooms clean with tea coffee facilities. Bathroom with large white fluffy towels and complementary shampoo conditioner shower gel.

The room was lovely, a huge en-suite with shower and a bath. Comfortable mattress, quality bedding and towels. We booked here because of the free parking and the full English breakfast included. However on arrival we read on the menu in our room that they only provide a continental breakfast. Apparently the new owners, although having reopened 4 months ago have not changed the wording of the breakfast on their site or that of all the other booking sites. So I was expecting bread rolls with a choice of ham and cheese, mixed fruit etc. but was underwhelmed at the offering which isn’t even continental….cereal, yoghurts and fruit juices. Although we were offered toast, hot drinks and croissants as well. Also they appear to be short staffed as the bar was often left unattended while the barman ran around waiting on tables as well. With a few tweaks this could be a great place to stay ie. more staff, especially on a Saturday evening and a cooked breakfast or at least honesty about the breakfast offering.

The restaurant menus need revising as little choice unless you want something with chips and greasy ones at that! On the first night I ordered one of the couple of alternatives - belly pork. The whole dish was so bad I sent it back. The manageress said she hadn’t received any other complaints but two other tables complaining about the same dish! Needless to say we ate dinner at other restaurants.

Advertised with room - cooked English breafast. Apparently no chef so was told when we checked in it will be a continental breakfast. Also as there was no chef there would be no evening meals for the rest of our stay. Really enjoyed our stay here. Delightful quaint hotel with lovely ancient rooms full of character. Owners were very helpful and let us pick up the room keys early since we were attending a local festival. However, we had to ring them to confirm this since no comms whatsoever through the hotel.Com messaging service despite multiple attempts.. Also Hotel.Com stated that a full English breakfast was included in the rate but only continental breakfast was offered by the hotel. This is unacceptable and needs sorting out soonest by Hotel.Com so guests are not misled. However, overall we enjoyed our night at the thatched cottage inn and would stay again.

Room was brilliant, cooked breakfast was amazing, continental breakfast did the job but quite basic, coffee machine was down too but overall for the price a good stay, plus there was a big event on nearby so we were lucky to get the room
