The Manor is not a place to stay if you are after all the mod cons, but it’s tidy enough, does a decent breakfast, reasonable prices and well located.

dirty tired rooms stains on the walls, ground in stains on the toilet and shower, The bed is was so high I had to be helped on to it and I am 5'5" the temperature upstairs was 35c and all the windows were screwed shut to open only 4" when I complained to head office I was summoned to reception to speak with the manager who's only concern was why did I complain to head office she was not overly bothered about the rooms and admitted she did not go into the rooms when I asked if she had seen them! I was told they would clean the toilet but one day later it still was not cleaned. Go to premier inn at least they have clean facilities.

Quite possibly the worst hotel stay I've ever had. I genuinely cannot understand how this hotel has a 4-star rating. In my opinion, I'd struggle to give it 2 stars. The whole place feels tired, neglected and in desperate need of refurbishment. The walls were dirty and heavily marked, the carpets looked filthy, wardrobe doors were damaged with missing handles, and the windows were covered in dirt. Our bedroom window even had a block of wood wedged into it, which looked incredibly unprofessional. The biggest concern was finding a cockroach trap behind the bed. Whether there are currently cockroaches or not, knowing the hotel feels the need to place traps in guest rooms doesn't exactly fill you with confidence. It certainly didn't make for a relaxing night's sleep. To make matters worse, the communal toilets were flooded, creating what appeared to be a significant health and safety hazard. The only positive I can mention is that the staff were friendly and the service itself was perfectly acceptable. Unfortunately, good staff can't make up for the poor condition of the building. Greene King really needs to invest in this property. At present it's dirty, poorly maintained and nowhere near the standard expected of a 4-star hotel. I won't be returning and couldn't recommend it to anyone.

Room was ok, apart from stains on carpet and sofa, paint peeing of windows, cracks on walls, chair at desk unsafe wobbles terrible. looked very tired and whole place needed TLC, very dated, tables in restaurant sticky. lots of chairs in bar seats cracked and ripped, staff nice but very run down could be a lovely place if a refurb was done. also noise at 3,30 / 4.00 in the morning could hear people moving /dragging chairs and tables around, and noise at 5.am ish so not a good night sleep. mentioned this in the morning and was just told think they had a function that day so they were getting it all ready.
