The hotel and facilities especially the spa were amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that let it down were the pillows they were so soft it was uncomfortable.

The room was quite large and clean- with a king sized bed. Cleaning service was impeccable and the air conditioning kept the room a nice temperature. Rooftop bar offered great small bites and a perfect view of the main square. The pool was gorgeous and the salt room was a great amenity.

Everything on this hotel was exceptional,I would rate it 10/10.The pool was unbelievable,like swimming in the cellar underground in the heated water .Great experience.Room and bathroom was also beautiful.

Stylish and chic. Rooftop is amazing. Room was large and very nice but a bit dark. Breakfast staff were a bit slow. Gym was hot and limited. But I really enjoyed my stay here.

A beautiful hotel, with an excellent onsite restaurant and great breakfast. Also, they have a wonderful pool, sauna, steam room and spa. Highly recommended if you want to be in the heart of Kraków’s vibrant Old Town.

Hotel was beautiful and spotless, room was far bigger than expected and had everything we could need. Spa was lovely and peaceful, we were the only guests in there when we visited. All staff were friendly and really helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Avoid staying in a room on 5th floor, it’s under the roof bar- hear chairs tables scraping late into night and early morning if the are prepared for events. Restaurant/ communal areas lack any atmosphere/ not just lack of people but think how space is used. Breakfast very basic / poor service. Especially bad experience if there is an event in hotel and breakfast place taken up by them. Avoid paying the super high charge use the nice cafe right next door with a great choice of food and different coffees. Gym made up mainly of cardio machines/ no benches / weight machines and situated right in middle of spa. Plus side, staff really friendly/ lots of students that do best they can. Pool lovely as is sauna/ steam area Food in main fine dining restaurant was really good, shame that we were the only ones there. Great location and large room. Bed firm. Breakfast good, but a bit chaotic when the supervisors off . Staff need a touch more training. Corporate functions on most days. Good view from the roof top bar, but it lacks atmosphere. A few more plants would help. It’s all too bland, stark and grey. We didn’t use the pool and spa. Breakfast box in place of one breakfast was excellent. Reception staff good. Room well cleaned. Shower extremely slippery and bathroom too dark. Little atmosphere in the ground floor bar, but then many hotels struggle to get people in to their bars. Overall a good hotel, but lacks polish. Aimed more at the corporate market.

Beautiful, understated hotel. High design, quality and exceptional attention to detail. The ONLY thing we noticed was the lack of sound insulation. You can hear conversations and bathrooms next door very clearly so just bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Everything else about the property (spa, interior design and location, to name a few) make up for this one tiny detail. We’ve already recommended the hotel to a friend and we already have plans to return.

The hotel is in excellent location. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There are few points that need improvement. First, we found the room being too dark. No coffee/tea maker in the room. Also, no convenient outlets for charging phones. When we asked, they brought us an extension. It did not feel like a 5-star hotel.

What a beautiful hotel. We stayed on the 5th floor. Location is right off the main square. Pool was wonderful after a day sightseeing. Only down side was WiFi was very poor in the part of the hotel we were in. Not sure if it’s better elsewhere in the newer bit of the. Hotel.

The Reception area and spa were great but the rooms not so much. We asked to change rooms as our first room looked out on to a brick wall only a few feet away. The second room was better but so dark. The lighting was very bad. The housekeeper had to use the torch on her phone to see the floor. There was only one pillow each and that was thin and empty. Nowhere to hang towels. It was, however, very clean and a good size. The hotel itself is very well located in the square. The staff were friendly, especially the young chap on reception and the breakfast staff. Overall it was fine but not the “amazing” hotel it purports to be.

Gorgeous hotel right in the centre and near all the best parts of Krakow. The only reason it didn’t score 5 stars was the noise and the curtains in our suite. We were in room A118 which is a gorgeous suite at the front of the property. We are aware that a city break isn’t relaxing but the noise from outside was constant. Bin men at 5am on 3 of the 4 days and lots of local revellers in the early hours of the morning. Not the hotels fault but do consider if you are offered room A118. Also, the curtains (although very fashionable) were made of hessian and doesn’t block any light. They don’t even fit the window. This also woke us up very early in the morning. Apart from these 2 points we had a lovely stay here. Just avoid room A118

The location is excellent, tucked away about half a block from the main square, so it was very quiet. My room was missing some things I would have appreciated: coffee in the room, a better lighting arrangement, a shower easier to use, hooks on the walls for hanging things.

The only issue I had was the check-in process. The online pre-checkin was an absolute waste on time and not worth bothering with as the reception staff still a thousand questions when you arrive for ID, baking confirmation.....etc

A stellar staff! Never have I received the caliber of friendly and welcoming service as I did upon my arrival with Małgorzata and departure with Klaudia at Hotel Stary. Malgorzata allowed my early arrival and Klaudia my late departure. Their colleagues at the spa were so supportive and friendly. I felt like a queen for my entire stay. Not bad for a woman from South Bend, IN in the USA. Thank you!!

You literally have to go and find people to place order, keep finding them if you need anything but they are quick to appear to teach you that you can’t get your own hot coffee. God forbid you want to send your dish back… 5 stats hotel should also include 5 star service.

Attention aussi à la privatisation très fréquente du rooftop : sur 5 nuits passées dans l’hôtel, il a été privatisé deux fois. This property is located increadibly close to the Christmas market and beautifully located near many attractions in Krakow. The hotel restaurant is delicious and the bar makes great drinks. The only negative is that the walls are a bit thin and the noice from the hallway can be heard very easily from the room.

It shines in almost every aspect with huge spaces and very clean but there's nowhere to hang a hand towel close to sink or shower and other design flaws like having to stand from bed to turn the overhead lamp off... Beautiful property. Great location, lovely rooms, able and obliging front desk. My one complaint is the rooftop bar: the service is sullen and incompetent (orders botched, indifferent wait staff). Going up there is like migrating from a fine hotel to a third-rate one.

Second time at this hotel and enjoyed it. Facilities are good and really well located for the main square. On the downside… no tea/coffee in rooms (though can get room service) and the breakfast at around £35 is extortionate - though readily available for a lot less on the square.

Avoid staying in a room on 5th floor, it’s under the roof bar- hear chairs tables scraping late into night and early morning if the are prepared for events. Restaurant/ communal areas lack any atmosphere/ not just lack of people but think how space is used. Breakfast very basic / poor service. Especially bad experience if there is an event in hotel and breakfast place taken up by them. Avoid paying the super high charge use the nice cafe right next door with a great choice of food and different coffees. Gym made up mainly of cardio machines/ no benches / weight machines and situated right in middle of spa. Plus side, staff really friendly/ lots of students that do best they can. Pool lovely as is sauna/ steam area Food in main fine dining restaurant was really good, shame that we were the only ones there. This hotel has a marvellous ambiance. It’s a former merchant’s house from the 14th century and the hotel has been sympathetically restored keeping many of the old features. The bar has an amazing medieval mullioned window and the swimming pool is in the vaults under a centuries old brick arched roof. The hotel won an award for the best restored interior in Europe and the England team chose to stay here for the Euros. The mediaeval vibe continues in the bedroom with the doors and furniture and beamed roofs but yet it’s ultra modern at the same time. I really enjoyed my stay here.
