The place is run down in the room areas. The bathroom was dirty and the shower had sharp edges that were quite dangerous. The room was too hot and there were no controls to cool it down. The breakfast was amazing and the little gym was great

Sentralt og greit hotell. Litt overrasket av at rommet lå i en annen bygning på andre siden av gata for resepsjonen og frokostsalen. Takk til personalet i resepsjonen som utvidet utsjekken min med to timer pga forsinket ettersending av bagasje fra Flesland. Det berget helga mi!

Koffertoppbevaringen er en skandale. Hvem som helst kan gå inn og ta en koffert. Døren står permanent oppe. Det er ingen kontroll. Ingen merking av koffert med lapp. Skilt med « på eget ansvar» holder ikke for et hotell i denne prisklassen.

Location excellent for ferry connection. Large hotel spread over 3 buildings. Had to go outside in rain to cross to another building for breakfast. Breakfast was very good and staff wonderful. Coming back to this property after our cruise and not disappointed.

Fryktelig varmt på badet, og dette kunne ikke stilles på. Råte på list og dør inne på badet. Gamle vinduer med svartmugg og avskallet maling. Så kan ikke anbefale rom i bygget på andre siden av veien for bygget med resepsjon. Det som var bra var frokosten, den var god.

bra frokost, rom luktet veldig dårlig ( avløpslukt fra bad ) dette gjorde at hotell overnattingen ikke ble så bra... har sovet her før i annet rom og da var det ikke problem, men denne gang var det veldig dårlig lukt bra bad som såg gammelt ut og der trengs det nok en opppusning...

The first room we received was unacceptable due to a severe marijuana smell, including in the hall. The second room we received were freezing cold (approx 10C). After two visits to desk we received a heater which when turned on blew a socket and we lost all power. Upon a third visit to the reception I received a key to third room. Didnt work in elevator. Upon a fourth visit I received a new key which worked in elevator but not in room door. Upon a fifth visit to the reception I received a master key which let me inspect the third room which held a comfortable temperatur. This room we accepted. WHen we then moved to the third room (which is in a separate building from the two frist rooms), we found a wide, brown 15 cm trace of feces along the front of the toilet. As we had now spent 1.5 hours to get a comfortable room I cleaned myself and went to bed. The staff was perfectly pleasant and accommodating but I am very disappointed in the quality of the rooms and hotel, and the cleaning. We were offered glass of wine as an apology but as I don't drink alcohol this was not of interest. I'm more or less shocked that this can be the standard of a Scandic hotel, a chain I've used many times in connection to both leisure and business

The lobby and restaurant area were nice. The hallway and room smelled like a medical unit of a hospital - the best way I can describe this to people that don’t know is basically like a public bathroom that tried to be cleaned with cheap or watered down cleaning products. There was hair in the bathroom and on the towels that were not ours; there was pubic hair in the bed that was not ours. Overall I just felt dirty in this hotel but luckily my stay was only for one night. The area is walkable to the rest of the city. There is construction outside that started at 730am.

Ble tildelt rom 514. Rommet bar preg av å ikke ha vært brukt på en stund. Panelovnen under vinduet var skrudd ned på 15 grader og varmekabler på badet var slått av. Dette gjorde at rommet var veldig kaldt. Badet hadde ikke tilfredsstillende temperatur før 8 timer senere. Dette er ikkje akseptabelt, spesielt med tanke på at det er 13. desember og vinter.

For prisen var rommet veldig bra. Utsikten var rett inn i en bakgate, men det brydde jeg meg ikke om. Men badet var litt slitt. Vannet i vasken rant ikke ned, og noen fliser nede på badekaret manglet, så man kunne se skitt under badekaret. Ellers bra for prisen.

Great location. Great breakfast. Staff friendly. Rooms big, but drains a bit smelly. The part of the hotel across the road from the main hotel feels a bit tired / dated, but the room are big. It can be a bit noisy at night if you are in a room facing the Hakonsgaten road, but still had a great time.

Et ok hotell med veldig bra frokost. Fikk rom i nabobygget, selve rommet var bra, men resten ganske slitent. Det finnes ingen aircondition og det er ganske mye bråk utenfor fra mennesker og biler på brosteinene - hvis man åpner vinduet. (Vi besøkte hotellet i helgen).

Very good hotel in an excellent location. BUT: No air-conditioning ruined our vacation. Room was hot as an oven. I understand the weather was unexpected; but that is why I pay good money. But, hotel staff could not do anything; Offered a very small 12inch fan. Suffered. COuld not open windows.

Excellent check in, friendly staff. Reception kindly upgraded our room as they said the available one was small. We were VERY pleased with our room (212A). Bar service in the evening was good and breakfast was also efficient, with plenty of choice.

Wir hatten zuerst ein Zimmer in dem es selbst am Tag nicht hell wurde (Ausblick auf Teerpappedach). Ein Bett hatte ein schmutziges Laken, im Bad fiel eine Klappe aus der Badewanne, Schreibtisch hatte eine dicke Staubschicht... Zweimal wurde mir jemand vom housekeeping geschickt. Als der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption dies ein drittes Mal tun wollte, bestand ich auf ein neues Zimmer, das ich dann auch bekam. Dieses war deutlich besser, was aber auch nicht schwierig war. Niemals hat sich jemand entschuldigt. Auch haben zumindest die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption, die wir gesehen haben ziemlichen Nachholbedarf in Sachen Freundlichkeit oder ist es zuviel verlangt Guten Tag und Auf Wiedersehen zu sagen.

Veldig fint hotell sentralt i Bergen. Jeg fikk et utrolig flott rom. Bor en del på hotell, og er stort sett vant til god service. Dette hotellet utmerket seg likevel med sitt meget vennlige og imøtekommende personale. Mulig jeg tar en tur til Bergen bare for å bo på hotellet en gang til.

Renhold er det som virkelig er bra på dette hotellet, rett og slett imponerende. Vedlikehold også, bra å holde et så slitent i god hotell istand. Brutal og arrogant innsjekk. Ellers ikke et smil eller en følelse av å være hverken gjest eller i det hele tatt til stede, komplett umulig å oppdrive noe som kan assosieres med hygge og vennlighet. Frokost ok, men det stopper der.

Check in was poor due to a very unwelcoming and sour receptionist. The room and bathroom were shabby and due a major refurbishment. On the only plus side the breakfast was good. I would not stay in a Scandic again after this experience.

Well placed, good transport links, train and bus stations were at walking distance. Breakfast had lots of options, food was premium quality. Food was prepared on the day. I stayed for 5 nights. Very good modern facilities, although I only speak for the side of the hotel that I stayed in. The other half apparently is on the other side directly facing. The one I was in was very modern and clean, the lobby was large as was the breakfast and dining area. Each morning, I was able to get a table and seat with a variety of breakfast options. The room was large and clean on the third floor. It was roadside facing, so on Friday and Saturday nights you can hear noise outside from late night revellers walking home (outside noise wasn't an issue during the week). That was the only real downside to my experience, so I would recommend taking some earplugs with you, or otherwise ask for a different room. Overall would stay again, very close to all attractions (10 mins away walking).

The one I was in was very modern and clean, the lobby was large as was the breakfast and dining area. Each morning, I was able to get a table and seat with a variety of breakfast options. The room was large and clean on the third floor. It was roadside facing, so on Friday and Saturday nights you can hear noise outside from late night revellers walking home (outside noise wasn't an issue during the week). That was the only real downside to my experience, so I would recommend taking some earplugs with you, or otherwise ask for a different room. Overall would stay again, very close to all attractions (10 mins away walking).

Friendly check in. Nice and clean room with bathtub across the street, and the main cinema in the same building (entry next to the hotel entrance, but totally undisturbed). Nice breakfast buffet, slightly cheaper if ordered the night before. Spacious restaurant. Short walking distance from the city square.
