The car park next to the hotel is small but a bigger car park is only a short walk away. They ask you to check in on-line but the single receptionist was dealing with many things and the vague directons to our room needed a retrace back to a then staffers reception. It took 30 mins between arrival and getting into our room. However, the room was good, food excellent and staff very helpful. They need to provide a number or buzzer to ensure there is reception cover. We would definitely stay here again.

Look we really love this hotel, it’s old, quirky, in a lovely setting, the grounds are gorgeous to walk in. This was our second stay and we were upgraded to a suite over the function rooms. Well at 3.00am in the morning we were woken by chatter, scraping of furniture, general movement noise below us. Thought the place was haunted!! This lasted till about 4.30 am. Ruined our nights sleep.

Wonderful quiet convenient getaway on a business trip. Great restaurant, lovely surroundings. Remote, in a good way, but well connected to all of Yorkshire.
