This hotel is set up for remote working in the lobby of this hotel. There are little cubicles and common workspace areas. It has a gym which is usually empty. The rooms are large however the a/c was not very performant. Location is great but with the roadwork being done by the parking lot, accessing parking was a bit confusing as the signs for « Parking 8 May 1945 » Disappear at the roundabout diversion

The carpet was a bit dirty and there were limited plug ins in the bathroom. The gym was limited and a bit messy when I went down to try it. The AC was not very effective. Shower could have used a bit more pressure and the temperature fluctuated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great.

The property offered a nice bar with good happy hour and it was attached to a restaurant. Our room was nice and clean with good air conditioning. I’m not sure if it was because we had traveled so much by the time we reached Bordeaux, or for another reason, but Bordeaux seemed tired, expensive, and dreary. The area of the hotel is excellent because it’s only about 15 minutes walk to the shopping and museum areas. When we woke and looked for a small café in the morning, we realized many are not open until after 9 AM. This is French culture, but as travelers, we wanted caffeine earlier in the morning. We did find a few nice small bars in the area and enjoyed afternoon drinks. We appreciated the small bodegas that were close-by for water, fruit, and snacks. Parking was around the corner from the hotel. Parking was safe and priced fairly. The staff at the hotel described the parking as being “not attached to the hotel.” However, we found a route inside the parking ramp that was an easy route into the hotel -entering along the terrace adjacent to the hotel’s café and bar. Otherwise we would have difficulty carrying our bags into the hotel because at the front door, there are stairs leading to the lobby level. In May 2025 road outside the hotel was under construction. We speak basic French. (That helped a lot when checking in because in Bordeaux there are not as many fluent English speakers). The staff here were patient and helpful.

Globalement très déçu de cet hôtel. Points positifs : bien situé, personnel sympa et pro. Points négatifs : cet hôtel est un saut dans le passé. Nous avions choisi cet hôtel car la chambre indiquait disposer d'un lit king size. Un lit king size, c'est 1 lit unique avec 1 matelas unique de 180*200... pas 2 lits de 90 avec 2 matelas de 90 rapprochés ! Les matelas n'étaient pas confortable du tout. Beaucoup trop mou, si mou qu'on pouvait toucher le bois sous le matelas en s'asseyant sur le lit. Il n'y avait qu'une seule prise pour charger le téléphone seulement d'un côté du lit. Pas pratique du tout quand nous sommes 2. La moquette était sale, avec des traces blanches. Il n'y avait pas de douche à l'italienne, seulement une vieille baignoire comme dans le passé. Nous avons demandé de changer à l'accueil mais on nous a indiqué qu'il fallait changer de gamme de chambre. Nous ne voulions pas payer d'avantages. Le ménage n'avais pas été fait pendant notre séjour, malgré la carte déposée sur la porte. Nous avons dû demander à l'accueil. Et une fois le ménage fait, il manquait des serviettes. Nous en avions marre de devoir réclamer des choses à l'accueil. Dans la chambre il n'y avait pas de bouilloire. Enfin, le petit déjeuner était très décevant. Du jus de fruits industriel, des confitures industrielles de grandes surfaces, etc... Et en plus, le petit déjeuner ferme à 10h en semaine, c'est trop tôt . C'est hôtel est vraiment très très loin d'un 4 étoiles style Mercure.

We really enjoyed our stay at Novotel Bordeaux Centre. The breakfast was pretty good, the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower in our room was pretty low pressure and the toilet didn't flush properly. The staff was amazing though, really helpful and understanding and most of them spoke English. All in all a pretty good hotel that has a good location if you want to explore the city by foot or by bike.

The shower was terrible as the pressure was extremely low. The bed was really uncomfortable because they just placed two single beds together and the mattress were very low quality. The building was dated and you could tell they had done a light refurbishment. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby/reception were of a good standard. I would not recommend this hotel as I do not believe it represented good value for money. The location of the hotel is the only redeeming factor.

This is an old Novotel. It needs a lot of room renovations. For the price point I would not recommend this hotel. The location was decent, the staff was good. The breakfast had very poor selection. You can find much better hotels for a better price in Bordeaux.

Functional hotel. Accessible by tram from airport. Close to cathedral and old town. Rooms modern and functional. Good shower, kettle and coffee machine provided. Aircon did not work so slept with window open, no street noise so no problem. BBC world tv not working.

Good clean hotel and central to the city. 5 minutes walk to the bars and restaurants. The tram to the hotel from the airport was just outside (palais de justice). Hotel staff were excellent with tourist information and maps. Like all cities it is quite expensive. A large beer was 8.50 euros and wine is also expensive at 7 euros a glass.

The staff have been wonderful. Helpful, professional and in most cases multilingual. Quick to check in and get to your room, excellent if you are tired from travel. This site has a secure area to leave your bags and cases if you are leaving later after your check out time and don't want to carry your bags all over Bordeaux. 20 minutes (max.) walk to centre of town on flat walkways. Safe? This site is directly across from the police station.

The staff here is amazing. I had a medical crisis while staying at the hotel and they helped me get assistance and took care of contacting the next place that I was supposed to stay at so that they knew I wouldn't be there. Once I am home, I will be writing to the corporate headquarters about the key members who helped me. Absolutely marvelous people. Also, the hotel was clean, quiet, and safe.

Great position, you can take tram A straight from the airport. Walkable to all of the main sites. Hotel is lovely and clean, we didnt eat breakfast there (got it from the Intermarché nearby) but spent some time in the bar area which is nice, clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

I absolutely loved that they gave us water bottles (refillable) that we could exchange for full every day. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was nicely air conditioned. The staff was so great and helpful! we were able to get a late checkout! It was a good walk to find restaurants and cafes, but we love that!

Un super accueil par des personnes jeunes et très sympathiques. Chambre propre, lit confortable, très calme. Petit déjeuner varié et copieux. Nous recommandons également le restaurant Les Décantés, le personnel tout aussi accueillant et des plats à partager à découvrir. Hôtel bien situé proche d'une ligne de TRAM pour pouvoir se déplacer très facilement. Nous conservons l'adresse pour nos prochains séjours à Bordeaux.
