We had one night here. The hotel was clean and the lady on reception spoke English which was helpful. Parking is very handy (opposite the hotel) which is arranged through the hotel: a QR code is given by Reception and you use this on entry to the car park. At the time of our entry, the QR code did not work and unfortunately instead of being €18 it turned out to be a whopping €35. However, we would stay here again, the location is brilliant.

Pleased with the room , basic triple room in attics , good aircon . Great location. Not the cheapest but so central. Being on the 4th floor lots of noise in the morning from breakfast room nearby . Overall well worth the stay . Nice stay lovely staff .

Nous sommes restés 3 nuits. Un stationnement est disponible en face de l’hôtel, mais il doit être réservé à l’avance par l’intermédiaire de l’hôtel afin de bénéficier d’un tarif préférentiel. L’établissement est très bien situé pour le tourisme. Les chambres sont bien équipées, avec de grandes fenêtres agréables. Le seul point négatif est l’odeur à la réception : une odeur d’égout qui, selon le personnel, persisterait depuis les dernières rénovations. Nous avons dû acheter un désodorisant pour atténuer l’odeur dans nos chambres au deuxième étage. Durant nos 3 jours de séjour, nous avons pris l’habitude de garder les fenêtres ouvertes, ce qui était agréable en ce beau mois d’octobre.

Odeur d’égout désagréable au lobby et dans certaines de nos chambres au deuxième étage. Apparemment que c’est un problème connu en cours d’investigation. Le lobby est très petit mais on y offre café et eau. Aucune zone de débarcadère pour les valises mais stationnement disponible en face de l’hôtel qui doit être réservé et payé par l’intermédiaire de l’hôtel afin de profiter d’un tarif journalier préférentiel. L’hôtel est très bien situé au-dessus du Grand Café où nous avions pris l’habitude de prendre notre déjeuner chaque jour.

En général, l’hôtel est correct, et son meilleur atout est sa situation géographique, car il est très bien situé, en plein centre. Cela dit, les chambres sont vraiment petites et même l’hôtel dans son ensemble est très étroit, avec un ascenseur minuscule et des couloirs extrêmement étroits. La salle du petit-déjeuner se trouve tout en haut, sous les combles, ce qui fait que si vous êtes un peu grand, vous devez presque rester penché en permanence. De plus, le lit s’enfonçait beaucoup, ce qui le rendait finalement peu confortable. Le service est bon. En revanche, un point nous a beaucoup déçus : nous avions choisi un hôtel plutôt qu’un Airbnb en pensant (comme cela a toujours été le cas pour nous) qu’il serait possible de laisser nos sacs après le check-out pour profiter de la ville avant de prendre le train. Or, on nous a répondu que ce n’était pas possible car l’hôtel n’a pas de service de garde sécurisé… alors qu’il y a pourtant une réception ouverte 24 h/24 où ils pourraient très bien les garder. Il n’est pas nécessaire d’avoir la sécurité du Pentagone pour entreposer quelques sacs ! Cela a été le point le plus négatif de notre séjour.

The location of this hotel was a pleasant surprise. It’s at the top of the best shopping street in town and it goes all the way to the river. It’s inside an historic building that’s been refurbished resulting in some small and strangely shaped rooms. I booked for only two nights but ended up staying four very comfortably. My room was a single which, unfortunately meant a single bed. Due to the shape of the room it made sense but I think a double up against the wall would have fit easily enough. While I slept well, I’ll check the booking more carefully next time. There was a work desk, luggage rack, open wardrobe, TV, free WiFi and kettle with tea & coffee. There was a delightful view from the opening, full length windows. The washroom was small but efficient. The shower was good, the toiletries good quality and the towels were soft. The receptionists were all lovely and helpful. Breakfast is available onsite for a fee. Complimentary coffee was available all day from the machine in the lobby and, in the morning, pastries were also on offer. I walked everywhere easily, with public transport and many restaurants and shops nearby. This was a great base for my first time in Bordeaux and I would stay here again.

Very convenient location. Wouldn’t stay for longer than 2 nights as the rooms are very small. Even though looks like it has been recently renovated, the walls have a lot of marks on them and there is still a lot of old features that need updating (e.g. air con). But for the location it was fine for us.

Great location. Lady at check in was very nice. Hotel is well located with shopping, restaurants, and bars close by and easy to walk to. The rooms are small but we were aware of that before booking. For just 2 of us, it was fine. We would stay here again

Room 309 faced the Main Street with a bus stop in front and tram a 3-minute walk. Round the corner began the large, wide pedestrian shopping walkway with tram lines. Room was wide enough to walk around bed, had desk/chair with exposed closet. Bathroom smaller than a horse stall yet modern and functional. Did not eat breakfast here. Location beats all.

The hotel was well located in the city centre and close to everything also close to the trams if needed. The room was clean with nice amenities and the breakfast generous. Reception and breakfast employees was very nice and helpful. If you’re sensitive to noise bring earplugs, some noise from the street could be heard.

Excellent location with cheap good breakfast in the cafe one side and equally good value dinner in the restaurant the other Room recently refurbished. Small but comfortable with a good shower. Some road noise.

The rooms are comfortable (the bed was great) the rooms are extremely small. The shower so small that my husband (6’2”) had to open the shower door to properly wash. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The windows are far from sound proof, it’s a lively neighbourhood but I sleep quite soundly. For the price I would stay there again. I had requested an upgraded room, although I’m not sure that I got that. (If I did, I wonder how small a standard room would be)

Great location. Lady at check in was very nice. Hotel is well located with shopping, restaurants, and bars close by and easy to walk to. The rooms are small but we were aware of that before booking. For just 2 of us, it was fine. We would stay here again

Fabulous staff and location can’t be beat. If you want space, go find a cookie cutter chain hotel, but you’ll miss the lovely staff and location, reasonably priced at that. Great value here.

The location of this hotel was a pleasant surprise. It’s at the top of the best shopping street in town and it goes all the way to the river. It’s inside an historic building that’s been refurbished resulting in some small and strangely shaped rooms. I booked for only two nights but ended up staying four very comfortably. My room was a single which, unfortunately meant a single bed. Due to the shape of the room it made sense but I think a double up against the wall would have fit easily enough. While I slept well, I’ll check the booking more carefully next time. There was a work desk, luggage rack, open wardrobe, TV, free WiFi and kettle with tea & coffee. There was a delightful view from the opening, full length windows. The washroom was small but efficient. The shower was good, the toiletries good quality and the towels were soft. The receptionists were all lovely and helpful. Breakfast is available onsite for a fee. Complimentary coffee was available all day from the machine in the lobby and, in the morning, pastries were also on offer. I walked everywhere easily, with public transport and many restaurants and shops nearby. This was a great base for my first time in Bordeaux and I would stay here again.

We had one night here. The hotel was clean and the lady on reception spoke English which was helpful. Parking is very handy (opposite the hotel) which is arranged through the hotel: a QR code is given by Reception and you use this on entry to the car park. At the time of our entry, the QR code did not work and unfortunately instead of being €18 it turned out to be a whopping €35. However, we would stay here again, the location is brilliant.

Room 309 faced the Main Street with a bus stop in front and tram a 3-minute walk. Round the corner began the large, wide pedestrian shopping walkway with tram lines. Room was wide enough to walk around bed, had desk/chair with exposed closet. Bathroom smaller than a horse stall yet modern and functional. Did not eat breakfast here. Location beats all.

O hotel é simples, mas atende perfeitamente. O staff é extremamente simpático e a localização é muito boa. O café da manhã é simples, mas tem o básico. Senti falta de frutas. A internet é boa, a calefação é boa e a água quente é boa. No quarto, tem uma máquina de esquentar água para fazer café ou chá e uma televisão. Não tem frigobar no quarto, isso eu considere como ponto negativo. Uma coisa muito legal que achei foi o fato de ter uma máquina na recepção com café, chá e biscoitos gratuitos para os hóspedes.

We had an extremely small attic room for 3 people, with sloping roof, so there was a very small area in which one could actually stand up. The worst thing was that there were a lot of silverfish on the walls by the skylight. When I spoke to the gentleman at reception about it he suggested they had come in through the skylight, which seemed unlikely as we'd kept it closed with the blind down due to the heat. However where they came from is not really the point! He went on to point out that the rooms on the top floor are the cheapest, which I took to mean: "At these prices, whaddya expect?" Yet the prices were not what I'd call cheap. I have stayed in cheap hotels . . . and they did not have silverfish.
