Wij hadden een kamer in het oude gedeelte, echt oud. Best armoedig allemaal. Qua schoonmaak, kon het ook wel beter. Badkamer heel klein, wc kon je amper op zitten want dan zat je tegen een bidet aan. Wc papier werd niet door de schoonmaak aangevuld. Moest je iedere keer om vragen. Met douchen kon het water ineens ook heel heet worden, oppassen dus. En wat ook vreemd is dat de lichtschakelaar naast de douchekop zat, moest je nog opassen ook met water. Airco hadden wij op de kamer, werkte goed. Ontbijt was prima, niet heel uitgebreid, maar daar is de prijs ook naar. Het ontbijt gedeelte zit in het nieuwe gedeelte, zag er prima netjes uit. Personeel was aardig. Parkeren, zeer krap, maar fijn dat het kon. Locatie hotel is top. Loopt zo stresa in. Mocht je dit hotel overwegen, dan raad ik aan om een kamer te boeken in het nieuwe gedeelte. Want dat gedeelte ziet er gewoon (van wat je kon zien) mooi uit. Leider hatte ich ein schon älter ausgestattetes Zimmer, aber es war sauber und alles drin, was man brauchte. Ich hatte ein DZ mit Balkon/Seeblick. Das Frühstück habe ich in der Nähe privat eingenommen, am See, das war schön. Parkplatz habe ich von der Unterkunft vorab bei Buchung resrviert ist eine Tiefgarage, Plätze sehr eng, aber wenn man Parken kann, geht es gut 😅 Alles in allem habe ich mich wohl gefühlt und die Lage war perfekt.

Accueil chaleureux et disponibilité,un très bel hotel bien situé trés proche du lac,chambre spacieuse,trés propre et bien équipée et l'on retrouve du marbre sur tous les sols et escaliers d'un trés bel effet,bravo je recommande!en face de l'hotel un grand parking exterieur et sinon un parking intérieur au sous sol de l'hotel avec un petit supplément,

Well we are on a 6 week tour on our motorcycle and we chose our hotels as we go from place to place. We were in Brig Switzerland when we chose the Hotel Boston Stresa what a great find this was the place is really nicely decorated very clean and bright. The staff are very helpful and nothing seems to much trouble if you need something. The bedrooms are well appointed and of a good size with balconies. We didn't have breakfast here as we are retired and to be honest we don't normally get up until 9-30 ISH so we normally eat around 11am. The hotel has underground parking which for us was great as we are touring on our motorcycle it costs 8 euros a day and it's safe and secure. The hotel is 2 mins walk from the lake front of Maggiore and 10 mins walk into the main shopping and eating areas. You can get ferries to the islands on the lake and there are plenty of places to eat out lakeside. The hotel is also only 10 mins walk from the railway station and a Conad Supermarket so all in all this is a great place to stay.We will recommend this to our friends and family if they come to Italy. We had a great time here and would certainly stay here again if coming to Maggiore.

Only there for one night and we were in a section of the hotel that seemed brand new. Very nice, clean and tidy and comfortable. We left early the next day so that's all I know.

Sehr schönes Stadthotel. Die Lage des Hotels hat uns gut gefallen, da der See fußläufig nur ca. 5 min. entfernt ist. Der Empfang war nett und unkompliziert. Zu unserem großen und neu gestalteten Zimmer gehörte auch ein Balkon. Das Bad war modern und großzügig. Das Frühstücksangebot war umfangreich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Zu unserem großen und neu gestalteten Zimmer gehörte auch ein Balkon. Das Bad war modern und großzügig. Das Frühstücksangebot war umfangreich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We stayed for 3 nights. The welcome was warm and the staff were very nice. The room was clean and spacious and we were fortunate to have a corner room with a view of the lake. Breakfast was good. However, for 2 of our 3 days there was no hot water in the bathroom so we couldn’t shower, the internet connection is intermittent and the hotel doesn’t provide an iron and ironing board (even via housekeeping). There are no yea-making facilities in the room so we couldn’t even boil a kettle for hot water in the sink. On each day were assured that the water was fixed shortly after we left to go out for the day (around 9-10am, so not late). The location is good if you don't want to pay the silly prices for lake-front property, but the issues with the basics let this hotel down quite badly. We weren’t offered a discount for the severe inconvenience.

All was great, especially the staff who were very helpful and friendly. Only minor problem was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. We would stay there again.

Unser Zimmer lag im Neubau des Hotels. Das Zimmer sehr sauber und ruhig. Die Glas-Duschabtrennung war nicht befestigt, die Diagonalstütze habe ich mit eigenem Werkzeug angebracht. Danach war Duschen kein Problem. Der Waschbeckenabfluss mit Kugelschreiber-Mechanik war blockiert, das sollte schnellstens behoben werden. Hotelfrühstück sehr gut, Empfang etwas sehr sachlich, Gesamteindruck des Hotels war sehr gut. Die Lage "in der zweiten Reihe" ist sehr altstadtnah, es ist alles fußläufig zu erreichen

This was not a waterfront hotel and certainly not worth what we paid. The breakfast coffee tasted like mud. The toilet was almost touching the bidet head to head so a struggle to use the toilet. The shower looked awful and difficult to use and put me off using it. The rest of the hotel was nice but not our room. No supermarkets around to buy water. The hotel charges 4 euros for water. The proximity to the lake and train station was excellent.

Ontbijt was prima, niet heel uitgebreid, maar daar is de prijs ook naar. Het ontbijt gedeelte zit in het nieuwe gedeelte, zag er prima netjes uit. Personeel was aardig. Parkeren, zeer krap, maar fijn dat het kon. Locatie hotel is top. Loopt zo stresa in. Mocht je dit hotel overwegen, dan raad ik aan om een kamer te boeken in het nieuwe gedeelte. Want dat gedeelte ziet er gewoon (van wat je kon zien) mooi uit. Wij parkeerden de auto en kwamen vanuit de garage het hotel in, meteen een goed gevoel, maar dan loop je door naar waar wij heen moesten, van alles nieuw ....na jaren 50.

Sehr schönes Stadthotel. Die Lage des Hotels hat uns gut gefallen, da der See fußläufig nur ca. 5 min. entfernt ist. Der Empfang war nett und unkompliziert. Zu unserem großen und neu gestalteten Zimmer gehörte auch ein Balkon. Das Bad war modern und großzügig. Das Frühstücksangebot war umfangreich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

There are no yea-making facilities in the room so we couldn’t even boil a kettle for hot water in the sink. On each day were assured that the water was fixed shortly after we left to go out for the day (around 9-10am, so not late). The location is good if you don't want to pay the silly prices for lake-front property, but the issues with the basics let this hotel down quite badly. We weren’t offered a discount for the severe inconvenience.

Unser Zimmer lag im Neubau des Hotels. Das Zimmer sehr sauber und ruhig. Die Glas-Duschabtrennung war nicht befestigt, die Diagonalstütze habe ich mit eigenem Werkzeug angebracht. Danach war Duschen kein Problem. Der Waschbeckenabfluss mit Kugelschreiber-Mechanik war blockiert, das sollte schnellstens behoben werden. Check in was fast, i wanted a meal and tge reception recommended a restaurant not far away which was excellent. Room was fine and breakfast was of a goid standard with a great choice. I would stay here again.

This was not a waterfront hotel and certainly not worth what we paid. The breakfast coffee tasted like mud. The toilet was almost touching the bidet head to head so a struggle to use the toilet. The shower looked awful and difficult to use and put me off using it. The rest of the hotel was nice but not our room. No supermarkets around to buy water. The hotel charges 4 euros for water. The proximity to the lake and train station was excellent.

Leider hatte ich ein schon älter ausgestattetes Zimmer, aber es war sauber und alles drin, was man brauchte. Ich hatte ein DZ mit Balkon/Seeblick. Das Frühstück habe ich in der Nähe privat eingenommen, am See, das war schön. Parkplatz habe ich von der Unterkunft vorab bei Buchung resrviert ist eine Tiefgarage, Plätze sehr eng, aber wenn man Parken kann, geht es gut 😅 Alles in allem habe ich mich wohl gefühlt und die Lage war perfekt.

Well we are on a 6 week tour on our motorcycle and we chose our hotels as we go from place to place. We were in Brig Switzerland when we chose the Hotel Boston Stresa what a great find this was the place is really nicely decorated very clean and bright. The staff are very helpful and nothing seems to much trouble if you need something. The bedrooms are well appointed and of a good size with balconies. We didn't have breakfast here as we are retired and to be honest we don't normally get up until 9-30 ISH so we normally eat around 11am. The hotel has underground parking which for us was great as we are touring on our motorcycle it costs 8 euros a day and it's safe and secure. The hotel is 2 mins walk from the lake front of Maggiore and 10 mins walk into the main shopping and eating areas. You can get ferries to the islands on the lake and there are plenty of places to eat out lakeside. The hotel is also only 10 mins walk from the railway station and a Conad Supermarket so all in all this is a great place to stay.We will recommend this to our friends and family if they come to Italy. We had a great time here and would certainly stay here again if coming to Maggiore.

Excellent location! Just 5 min walk from train station and 2 min walk to Lake and promenade. Staff was very friendly. The only downside was a very small shower with no tray to put soap or shampoos. You have to either hold them or put on the floor.

The Hotel Boston was fantastic for our needs, the location was just a minute from the swimming areas on the lake and a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Stresa. The air conditioning in the room was incredible, outside it was 36 degrees and muggy so our room was an oasis to return to! We had a big, clean room and the staff were polite and helpful. Parking was easy (I booked well in advance - there aren’t many spaces). The only small thing I’d like to have had would have been a better towel rail to dry the towels on. Oh, and plug sockets - only one in the room and high up and nowhere near a table so we had to take a chair over to balance phones on the back of to charge.
