L'hôtel est très bien situé à quelques mètres de l'entrée du vieux port et ma chambre était confortable, mais on sent que l'établissement est dans son jus d'antan. Si certains le trouveront vintage, personnellement, je l'ai trouvé vieillot. De plus, tout ma semaine de présence, l'ascenseur était en panne.

Room was immaculate and a good size. No amenities in room but tea kettle and coffee stuff. No iron. No mini fridge. When I asked for ice reception told me to go to the bar on the corner!!! A real sleazy bar out front. Unsavory characters there. So no place to sit outside. No roof area. No place in hotel. When I asked about a fridge I was told to use a group fridge on second floor shared by all guests. There was no view of harbor unless you stood sideways on tiny balcony and looked left! There are zero facilities at hotel. 2 chairs in teeny lobby. Zilch. We arrived at 11. Were told room not ready until 3. No place to wait!! But they took luggage and put valuables in safe. Checkout: I asked for late. Of course answer was NO! That it was 50 euros an hour after 12 pm!!! Then there was construction drilling at 8 am right bellows at metro. A ripoff at 450 euros. I am not happy

It’s an older property but workable and more than sufficient for our needs. The location is excellent and staff helpful and courteous. My only complaint was the water had a sulphuric odor and the water was shut off for the entire hotel at 8:30 AM the day we checked out.

The room and amenities itself was nice, and central at the old harbor, however there is no access with a car and no help from the hotel how to reach it by car so you can at least drop off your bags. Staff was unhelpful (actually hung up the phone on us) and we couldn’t gain access to the hotel at midnight though the front desk is 24h.

This is a beautiful hotel, conveniently situated in the port of Marseille. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was modern, well-maintained, clean and comfortable and we even had a great view of the port. Would definitely recommend!

Property is in a great location. A 1 minute walk to the Port and metro station, with lots of different dining options. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and made check in very easy. Rooms were clean and updated.

The location is perfect - right in the middle of everything in the Vieux Port area. Walk to shopping, tons of restaurants, easy access to tourist and local transportation. The rooms are clean, the hotel is well-maintained, the breakfast was great with a lot of options, and the staff is helpful and friendly. Some late-night noise from Le Canebiere below but that’s to be expected when you’re in the heart of it all. A good choice if you’re visiting Marseille.

This hotel has definitely seen better days. The towels all had holes, the stairs are so slanted we were afraid they would collapse, the whole room stank of sewage or sulfur so badly that it was hard to sleep. Plus the breakfast is limited and barely edible. The location is great, but it certainly wasn’t worth the price or the discomfort.

Location was perfect for being beside the port, adjacent to a metro station but also the room was quiet due to good double glazed windows leading onto a small balcony. Room very clean, staff helpful and a good breakfast. Only 14 minute walk from the train station or 3 minutes by metro.

Got a beautiful room with gorgeous shower and balcony. AC worked great wasn’t too loud and a train station right outside that goes to the main train station. Stayed a few nights dined in some of the best restaurants I’ve been to including Tuba. took the electric scooters all around marseille and they were parked right outside of the hotel. Excellent stay right across from the water.

The location and overall condition of our room were excellent. Loved the solid surface floors (not carpet), the USB ports, the separate toilet room from shower/sink, and French doors opening onto a terrace with view of the port. The room was a bit tired - some work needed on walls/basevboards; but, overall, seemed clean and in good condition. The bed was comfortable and the coffee/tea pod machine was great. Staff was very accommodating to bring additional coffee/tea supplies as requested (we didn't have room cleaned/restocked). Checkin/out was a bit odd in that they charge for breakfast and you have to state at checkout that you did not take it (did not book and told reception at checkin would not have breakfast); so, it really is on the customer to confirm no breakfast and get the credit/charge removed upon checkout. But, same lady checked us in and out and she was very nice.

Fantastic location. We had superior room so had a balcony with side view of the port. Reception staff were really friendly and the hotel felt very safe. I would have expected slightly more from a "superior room". Bed was quite basic and we were only provided 2 tea bags (1 green & 1 camomile) so if we both wanted the same - we couldnt. Also the hairdryer in our room was melted and turned bright red when i tried to use it. Bit of a fire hazard. That being said...i would stay here again

The location is at the heart of the port. The only negative was bathtub shower combo. The tub was very slippery and could be unsafe. It was a little noisy (from the street) but it is understandable because the location is where all the action is.

Hôtel vieillot pour l'ensemble des lieux: corridor, escaliers, et ascenseur à 2 personnes, mais la chambre ou j'étais au 408 est excellente, sans tapis, sans coffre-fort, bon lit, grande douche, propreté normale avec vue sur la rue Canebière avec un balcon double et à 10m du Vieux-Port de Marseille. Le déjeuner est non compris, mais il est offert à $14e et il est excellent, le personnel est normal sans plus et l'hotel à un excellent WiFi. j'ai passé la nuit du 6 août 2022. Cette hôtel offre l'avantage d'être dans l'action du Vieux-Port en moins de 15 secondes et elle donne sur la rue Canebière. Chambre très bien insonorisé. Dans l'ensemble une note de 9/10. Je recommande.

No getting away from it, the property is on the main street (La Canabière) so it's louder than ideal from the nightlife well into the night - but you might be out their yourself and I was so tired after exploring each day that I fell asleep anyway - it's a fantastically situated hotel with a harbour view and the staff were excellent, always helpful and their English was far superior to my French!

Great location. Nice breakfast. Comfortable room. We were on the fifth floor with a beautiful view of Notre Dame de la Garde and the Vieux Port. Only draw back was the noise from the staff closet door next to us. They started opening and closing it early to prepare for breakfast.

It was absolutely comfortable staying. All staffs are kind. The quite room gave me a good sleep. The attic room was very cute. I was able to reach to old port just 10 seconds from the hotel, that was very convenient.

The room and amenities itself was nice, and central at the old harbor, however there is no access with a car and no help from the hotel how to reach it by car so you can at least drop off your bags. Staff was unhelpful (actually hung up the phone on us) and we couldn’t gain access to the hotel at midnight though the front desk is 24h.

In the heart of the old port, it was so easy for me to get anywhere and everywhere in the city! Hotel staff is super nice and they speak English! There is also a breakfast option, which I thought was lovely! If you are getting an Uber/car here know it’s on a pedestrian only street, so you’ll need to walk a little! It was lovely and clean and I would stay here again !

Location was perfect for being beside the port, adjacent to a metro station but also the room was quiet due to good double glazed windows leading onto a small balcony. Room very clean, staff helpful and a good breakfast. Only 14 minute walk from the train station or 3 minutes by metro.

Got a beautiful room with gorgeous shower and balcony. AC worked great wasn’t too loud and a train station right outside that goes to the main train station. Stayed a few nights dined in some of the best restaurants I’ve been to including Tuba. took the electric scooters all around marseille and they were parked right outside of the hotel. Excellent stay right across from the water.

The location is at the heart of the port. The only negative was bathtub shower combo. The tub was very slippery and could be unsafe. It was a little noisy (from the street) but it is understandable because the location is where all the action is.

The location is great, if you want to feel like part of Marseille. Right on the port, walkable to a ton of stuff. I loved that. It can be a bit noisy from traffic late - didn't bother me at all, but might bother some. Staff was very good. About 1 km from the train station - very walkable.

The Oceania in Marseille is exceptionally well located. Right on the Old Port. It is an old building with beautiful stairwells and architecture outside of the room, but the actual room is nicely updated and fairly large for Europe. Immediately outside of the hotel was a bar where we could sit and sip drinks and watch the fascinating world of Marseille walk by until late in the evening. My husband who is allergic to mold and dustmites was very comfortable in the room. We even had a quaint little balcony with a side view of the port. The breakfast was lovely. The staff was also very kind about letting us leave our luggage after checking out. I would certainly recommend this place, and hope to stay there if I have the opportunity to visit Marseille again.

Whole hotel smelt of blocked drains. Generally dilapidated and in need of a full refurbishment. €16 for 2 different types of pastry for breakfast. Oh and unlimited watered down coffee. Area around hotel considered safe however, The rows of drug/drinkers adorning the streets outside really helped add to the stench from the homeless beggars that made the area friendly and welcoming.

This hotel has definitely seen better days. The towels all had holes, the stairs are so slanted we were afraid they would collapse, the whole room stank of sewage or sulfur so badly that it was hard to sleep. Plus the breakfast is limited and barely edible. The location is great, but it certainly wasn’t worth the price or the discomfort.

The hotel room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was very conveniently located right on the old port. It is a noisy area, though. The breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again.

Great location. Nice breakfast. Comfortable room. We were on the fifth floor with a beautiful view of Notre Dame de la Garde and the Vieux Port. Only draw back was the noise from the staff closet door next to us. They started opening and closing it early to prepare for breakfast.

Under construction without notifications. First room had plastic over the windows, no handles on the windows so there was no view or option for air. Room two sixth floor with the window in the ceiling and no power??? Tried to move us to a third and we politely requested a refund which was extended. The location is stunning however in no way looks like the photos. Show this be upgraded appropriately it will be a lovely hotel.

Great location for us, was quite noisy at night and early morning but it didn’t really bother us. Room was really spacious and clean. The communal areas of the hotel are in need of an upgrade to match the rooms. Overall great stay and would recommend if you want to be right in the Port area. Rooms would benefit from having a small fridge for drinks as well

Rooms are very bare bones, and while the bed was clean, it didn’t feel like the rest of the room or the hotel were very clean. The receptionist was very helpful, but this isn’t a hotel we will return to.
