Everything you come to expect when staying at Mercure. Clean, tidy, good facilities including a pool and gym. Friendly and very helpful staff. Easy parking. Good central location. Nothing negative to say at all. Would happily recommend and in fact already have to friends visiting Le Mans.

Just to make future guests aware the majority of rooms are in the old non-refurbished part of the hotel, not the refreshed images shown widely on Google and the booking sites. Our room and amenities would have been inline with a two star hotel. Tight floor plan, plain walls and hospital room vibe, hard unsupportive mattress, prickly bedsheets, air conditioning that was weak and made the room smell like a rubbish tip, one towel for two guests etc. Positives were that parking was secure and staff reasonable. My luke warm review is based in managing expectations. We believed that we were paying a higher rate for a room above a two star, based on the online images, and the reality was starkly different.
